E-28 If you notice, it said, "She has made herself ready." So many says, "If the Lord will take this evil spirit from me, from drinking, or from gambling, or from lying, or stealing, I'll serve Him." But that's up to you. You got to do something too. "They that overcome shall inherit all things," they that overcome. You have power to do it, but you must be willing to lay it down. See? She has made herself ready. I like that Word. You see, God could not push us through a little pipe, pull us out on the other end, and then say, "Blessed is he that overcometh." You had nothing to overcome; He just pushed you through. But you've got to make decisions for yourself. I have to make decisions for myself. In doing that, we show our faith and respects to God.

E-29 Abraham was promised a child, but he must maintain this promise for twenty-five years, the ups-and-downs that he had and temptations in those twenty-five years; but he held to the word of the promise. And Israel was promised a promised land, but they had to fight for every inch of it. "Wherever the soles of your foot treads upon, that have I given you," God said to Joshua. It was all there. The land was there, and God gave it to them; but they must fight for it.

E-30 The same way it is about Divine healing. God's got the power to heal you, if you've got the courage to accept it. But you'll fight every inch of the way. God's got amazing grace to save you, and He will do it. But you'll fight every inch of your way. I've been behind the pulpit going on thirty-one years. And every inch of that has been a fight, constantly. It certainly has. But we must fight if we must reign. So we find out that the bride has to make herself ready, be willing to "lay aside every weight that does so easily beset us, that we might run with patience the race that's set before us." We must lay them aside ourself. We can't say, "God, You come, lay them aside for us." We got to do that ourselves.

Salvation is yours if you accept it, not if you quit sinning. Take Christ at His promise and watch sin fall off around you. Claim His promises! Claim them and never let go. Do you have the courage? It's not an easy road. The easy road leads to hell. The easy road expects you to claim nothing but YOUR rights. The hard road expects you to forfeit all your rights to Christ.

MATTHEW 26

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

Notice that when you claim the promise, that doesn't mean the promise is manifest yet. You WILL be tried and proven. You must do as the scripture says. Watch and Pray. Wrap yourself with His Word. This IS overcoming. What if you fall? What if you fall fifty times? What if you fall seven times seventy? It doesn't matter. What matters is getting back up. Is your desire growing stronger? If you cling to His Word, His promise, it WILL. Time doesn't matter. The world doesn't matter. Problems don't matter. The only thing that matters is that promise He gave. You CANNOT do it yourself. God doesn't need your efforts to bring His promise to pass but He will require them. He doesn't need your good life but He will make it so. He made you what you ARE and He bought and paid for what you NEED. BUT, he will require of you that you sacrifice all of your 'self' to Him. This is one time when surrendering is the way to win. He will require that your thoughts surrender to His thoughts as He places the Mind of Christ in you. Read this promise and believe it:

ROMANS 8

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?

Listen to just the first verse. NOTHING can happen in our life that God doesn't work for good! Let that sink in each morning before you start your day. REALIZE it's from God's mouth and cannot fail! You will see how Paul could rejoice in his problems and trials. It was a reality to him, not just words. Christ has ALREADY foreknew, predestinated, called, justified and glorified you! ALREADY! Believe Him and watch it happen in your life. Brother and sister I KNOW it's the truth. It burns in my soul, won't you let it burn in yours!? Don't you know that this life is but a few days of sorrow and then death. Why wrap yourself in its illusion of pleasure when the God of creation stands ready to CHANGE YOUR BEING?! There is nothing in this world or thousand lifetimes worth just 1 minute in the presence of God. Would you trade eternity for this mess that goes on around us everyday? I don't believe you would. I believe if you stop and look in your heart for one minute you will see that if God isn't there, you aren't happy. You cannot be happy without Christ. Claim His promise of salvation as yours. He will add Word upon Word to you and make you in His image. Get ready for a fight, BUT know that He has ALREADY won it! Hallelujah!

97 Like a little baby. I notice when a little baby back there, his mother tried to put his little jacket on him this morning. He wanted to get his little arm in the sleeve. He couldn't put his arm in there. He don't know how. You've got to guide his little arm. He wants to get his arm in there but he's just beating all around it. He never gets to the sleeve. He knows he's not in the sleeve. And so do you know that you're not right with God when you're still backbiting, lying, and doing everything. You can't be right with God. I don't care how many churches you belong to, until your soul becomes converted. Brother, that's old fashion, but that'll boil down and put soup in your soul. That's right.

99 Tried to put his arm in. He's got to have someone to direct him how to put his arm in. Then when he gets his arm in his little jacket he knows he's all right. That's the way it is with every born again Christian, when he really gets into God, he watches his life with God's Word and he realizes he's lined up with every bit of it. He's got long-suffering, gentleness, quietness, meekness, power, faith, love, joy, peace. He ain't tossed about like a troubled seas. He ain't worrying about every little thing. He ain't jumping here and there like a bottle stopper on a windy ocean. He's set. His heart's pure. His thoughts is pure. His intentions are pure. His alternative's right. And he knows he lines up with the Word of God. All hell can't move him. He's lined with the Word of God. He's got Divine love, purity in his heart for every man and woman. He's got his... He's abstained from the things of the world. They're dead to him. He don't want them no more. Why, you couldn't make a Holy Ghost girl put on a pair of them ungodly looking clothes and get out there for nothing. No, sir
