Promises

Sometimes we hear the prophet say:

139 But, you see, in this Book was what was redeemed. It was the Book of Redemption. And everything that He had redeemed was written in that Book. All that He died for was written in the Book, and He could not leave His mediatorial Seat until He had thoroughly redeemed. And He couldn't redeem it at the cross, because they were predestinated in the Lamb's Book of Life, and He had to stay on There to make intercessions until that last person was finished. Glory!

And too many times in our own thinking we take more from it than is really being said. For a long time I thought that this meant that God couldn't pay the price entirely on the cross and had to stay on the Mercy Seat and in some way continue to pay for my redemption. But before I explain any further on what I used to think, let's look at something else the prophet said.

And any true Divine gift of God will always recognize the cross is the finished works of God, right there, forever redemption, through redemptive blessing. There's where He was wounded for our transgression. There's where He was bruised for our iniquities. There's where the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. There's is where the stripes healed us. I can say this on the authority of God's Word, that every man and woman in this building tonight, is already healed in the sight of God.

E-37 Now remember, before we get to it, Divine healing is not some magic words that someone says over you. Divine healing... Every sick person in here is already healed in the sight of God. He was wounded for our transgression.
You say, "Brother Branham, what do you mean by that?"
All right, sometime I'll say, "How many were saved twenty years ago?" A lot of hands would go up. "How many was saved two years ago?" Lots of hands would go up.
Well, I different with you. You were saved nineteen hundred years ago when Jesus died for you at Calvary. You just accepted it twenty years ago and two years ago. See? That's your salvation. The plan's finished. Jesus said at the cross, "It's finished." The whole plan of man's redemption was finished, and every blessing that he needed in life's journey was completed at the cross. For there "He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; with His stripes we were healed." You believe that? Now, there we are.

The first quote may seem to contradict the second two. One minute Christ has to stay on a Mercy Seat through the ages to thoroughly redeem us. The next minute when Christ said "It's finished." then it was finished. So which is it?

It's both. Just because God obtained our redemption at the cross doesn't mean we know exactly what it was He won back for us. Being a lost people we didn't know what it was we had in the beginning that we lost. The children of God through the ages were ignorant to the fullness of what the Savior bought us.

The prophet said just that.

John didn't see It all over the heavens as he's looking, but here It come forth. Notice, where It came forth... Where did It come from? It come from the Father's throne where He had been seated since He had been slain and raised again. He raised up and set on the right hand of God, ever living to make intercessions. Amen. Raised there today as an Intercessor with His own Blood to make intercession upon the ignorance of the people. Now, oh, that's the One I'm depending on. He still was covered with bleach, the bleach of the forgiveness of sin.

When you use the expression that if we do not believe the Word, we will be eternally separated from Christ, do you mean the foolish virgin will live eternally, but they will be separated from the new Jerusalem where Christ will dwell with the Bride? Here are those who do not have the Holy Spirit, born again as the Scripture speaks of being born again. If the natural birth requires water, blood, and spirit, does not the spiritual birth require all three stages of grace before the person is truly born again?
Absolutely, I just explained that this morning--the same, on the same thing. You've got to have all stages. You're begotten of the Spirit, just like a baby's begotten into the womb of a mother, but not born until they receive the Holy Ghost. That's right. You're born then; you're not converted. You're in the procession of being converted until that time.
That's the reason that all these great mysteries could not be given to Luther, could not be given to Wesley, could not be given to the age that has just passed by us, the Pentecostal age. Why? It wasn't time. They were begotten. Now, the Person of Christ, Himself, the Son of man (You understand?) revealing Himself in human flesh, it could not have come till now.

He made intercession for the ignorance of the people. He wasn't there paying for your SIN! HE did that at the cross! HE was there making intercession for the ignorance of the people. Ignorant to what God had given them. Ignorant to what God had separated them from.

And if you don't know what you have been given you cannot truly possess it, and possess it we MUST!

So when the Lamb came forth to take the Book that meant one thing. THE IGNORANCE TO WHAT GOD HAD BOUGHT US WAS OVER! He could come and claim His Bride then. That’s what He couldn’t do at the cross! But when He took the Book all the doubt and confusion and fear was cast out and a union begin to take place between Christ and His Bride!

So if someone tries to tell you Christ is still on the Mercy Seat they are telling you, that you and the rest of the Bride, are still ignorant and that the Word of God has not come in its Fullness.

They are telling you that God needs to send another prophet because this the last one didn’t do his job correctly. And we know that both of those statements are totally untrue.
