Death and Life Chapter 11 - Part 2

Congregation sings “Only Believe”.

Let’s bow our heads.

Precious Holy Father, our God, we deem it a privilege and an honor this morning to be able to bow our heads and to call upon the holy and righteous One that created heavens and earth and all things that are in it. We thank You this morning, Lord, for this privilege that we have to come together. Thank You for everyone that’s here, Lord. Our hearts are made sad this morning because of Brother Tiny not being able to be with us, Lord. We know that he’s worked and labored so hard here and he’s helped everyone, I’m sure, in the assembly, in one way or the other. He’s always been ready to do whatever he could do. He’s been a real deacon, Lord. Now satan has struck his body down and he needs Your help, Lord, and we know that You’re the only one that can do it. We know that the prayers have already gone up over the nights and days, Lord, that he’s been there. We’re just holding him right there and being persistent before you, Lord, that You’ll come on the scene. We know that we have that right, according to what our Lord spoke to us in the Scripture about being persistent. And I believe that we need to continue to remind You, Lord, that we’re believing the promise and we’re believing what You said is the truth and we’re acting on it and accepting it, Lord, that our brother will be able to come out of there and get over this sickness. We pray now, Lord, that you’d bless everyone of us this morning as we gather around the Body Word of the Son of Man. We know, Lord, that these little messages that’s been laid upon our heart to bring, Life or Death, to receive this Message is Life, to reject It is death. And that’s what we’re trying our best with everything that is within us to present that Message, Lord, before the people. And those that are predestinated to accept It, they’ll receive It and It’ll become Eternal Life to them. The others, Lord, that cannot accept It, of course, we know they were not in Your mind before the foundation of the world, so they could not be a part of You, Lord, but we pray that you’d show mercy where mercy can be shown. Grant to us this morning, Lord, the strength and the courage to say that what has to be said. We ask in Jesus’ Name, the Son of Man. Amen.

You may be seated. Good to see you this morning. We’re still having some battles. Satan is still kicking his heels up. We hate it so bad about Brother David’s son. Just a young man, probably about twenty or twenty-one years old, something like that. I know he’s just a young man and gone out now to meet the Lord. We still don’t know exactly what... We don’t know whether it was an intentional thing or whether it was an accident. We don’t know. I talked to Cheryl last night and she said they still don’t know exactly whether it was an intentional suicide or whether it was actually just an accidental overdose, but anyway we know that it’s in the hands of God and so there’s nothing that we can do about it. I feel like that things could have been different back in the beginning when the Message was presented. When it was turned down and people began to turn bitter toward the Message things then, I feel like, if it hadn’t have been that, it could have been different. The children could have been raised in the church here. The same thing goes with my family. They know the truth. They’ve heard it. What they do with it is up to them. And I’m going to tell you, they can mark us off the list if they want to, but as long as we stay in this Word, as long as we stay in this Word, we’re right. Amen. I want you to understand that. We must not deviate from the Word for sympathy. We must never do it. We must never deviate from the Word because of sociality or because of fellowship with somebody else. Amen. It means more to me to have fellowship with God, which is His Word, than to have fellowship with my own family. I mean, I love my family and I appreciate my family. I love my children, but I would not deviate from this Word to have fellowship with them. If they want fellowship with me, they have to fellowship with the Word, too. Alright. I mean I hope you understand what I’m saying and I’m not being critical. I’m just saying that I have not separated myself from them. It was their desire to separate themselves from me. And so I mean, I still stand for the Word. I still stand for the Message. I still stand for what Brother Branham said and I have no hard feelings in my heart. I have no bitterness in my heart. I have nothing in my heart against them. I love them, and I’d do anything in the world for them. You know that. I pray for them.

Now, we’re going to get in the message. Alright. I like to express my feelings sometimes, because, I mean, I want you to know how I feel about things. Like I said yesterday in the funeral message, I’m not a put on. I want you to understand, I am not a hypocrite. Brother Gerald will tell you. He come one time, he and Brother Kepley, I believe it was, they came over and talked to me about the Seven Thunders. And he asked me if I had listened to this brother. And I pulled the drawer open, I said, “I got his tapes right there.” But I said, “It don’t work. It don’t pan out with the Word.” But I said, “I’ll tell you this.” And Brother Gerald is sitting right here and he knows that I said it. I said, “If God ever shows me what they mean,” I said, “I’ll stand on the highest mountain and proclaim it.” That’s right. And He did. By the grace of God, He showed me these things. And when He did, I began to proclaim it and the Bible was just like another Bible. The Message opened up. And when it began to open up, then it began to come so fast. I think it come so fast until a lot of people missed a lot of it. But anyway, it’s still there and you can go back and look at it. But I am rejoicing in these things. I’m rejoicing in this Word. Amen.

Wednesday night we took a little lesson there and you notice on the names in the breastplate and the names on the shoulder of the high priest, that there was a difference in the representation, because one of it was by birth, you know, by the birthrights of the boys and how they were born. They all come from Jacob and they were the sons of Jacob. And then their names as their birth were on the shoulders of the high priest in the ephod. And then of course, in the breastplate where the Urim and Thummim was, was the identification of the tribes of Israel. See, that took in all of Israel. And in this was judgement, you know. I mean you had to have... Wherever the Word of God is, there is judgement. See? Wherever the Word of God is, there is judgement.

And now, when we look at it from that standpoint. If we, I like what Brother Branham said. He said, “He’s our attorney and He’s our judge.” See? So if He is our judge and He is our attorney, you know, the attorney pleads the case. Right? They plead the case one way or the other. If it’s a prosecuting attorney, he’s going to try his best to convict the man. See? And if it’s a defending attorney, he’s going to try his best to defend the person. So in this case our attorney had a legal right to defend us. See? And so, He become our judge. And He was also the priest, the high priest. And so then... and being all of that he had the representation of the mind of God and knew the names that were there and He said, “All that the Father has given Me will come to Me.”And He said, “I will not lose a one of them.” He said, “Nobody is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.” Is that right? “No one can pluck them out of My Father’s hand. They were given to Me by the Father.” And so, they’re His. Amen. And so He has the perfect right to stand there as that great high Priest presenting the names and saying, “These are Mine. I paid the price that had to be paid. Whatever the price demanded, I paid it. There’s nothing short of it.”

So this morning, we want you to turn with us to Exodus 28, Verse 30 and I’m going to read one verse of Scripture and we’re going to carry on a little bit farther from where we were Wednesday night. We want to talk about the Urim and Thummim. The Urim and Thummim. And this is a big subject, and I’ve got a lot of notes here. And I trust that everybody will be able to stay with us and we’ll get through it. Alright.

And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart...continually.

Did you get that? Aaron, the high priest, was to bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart, continually. Amen. Alright. So, we don’t want to miss these thoughts because they mean a lot. And as we said Wednesday night, the breastplate was made of the same material as the Ephod and it was doubled in order to make a pocket for the Urim and Thummim, whatever the Urim and Thummim was. And so we know that Brother Branham leans toward it being those names, you know, those stones in the breastplate. He leans toward that heavily. And so, we know that these stones that were in the breastplate, they were actually a luster of light flickering and , you know reflecting as a channel of guidance for the children of Israel. See? Alright. So, I want you to look at this close now. So now, this thing was doubled in, or folded, in order to have the Urim And Thummim slipped in there in a pocket-like. Alright. And so then, the Urim... How many of you know what the word Urim means? Anybody ever look that word up? You know what it means? The word “Urim” actually means, “Lights”, L-i-g-h-t-s, capatilized. “Lights”. It’s the plural of Light. That’s what it means. And the word, “Thummim” means “perfection”. So you’ve got Lights and perfection. Now if you go to the Greek on it and see what the Greek, I believe that’s the way that you pronounce that, the old Greek translation of the Old Testament. The old Greek translation of the Old Testament says that the word “Urim” means, “manifestation”. And the word “Thummim” means ”. So the manifestation of the truth, which is Lights and perfection, see? So you get what we’re looking at here now. It means a lot. It means so much. Alright.

So now, these... Actually, what I’d like to do this morning in the beginning of this lesson,  which might be a little lengthy, but it may not be. It’s just ever how the Lord leads. But, I would like to take this contents now of this breastplate that’s upon the heart of Aaron and I’d like for us to just kindly translate that over into the heart of Christ Jesus. And I want us to look at this this morning as the heart of Jesus Christ containing everyone of God’s subjects. Every one of God’s subjects, every one of the Bride, according to the Scripture, according to our Messenger, Brother Branham, the Prophet,  which is the Holy Ghost for our age, according to God, (let me put it down just that way), amen, according to God. See, these things were not done in a corner. This is actually what God had in mind before the foundation of the world. And He brought these things in our day to clear up and to bring all of the loose ends together so that we could see what has been going on.

And then, if we’re not careful, we’ll get in a bracket where we’re looking then to what’s going to happen over there. But that is never what the Prophet intended for us to do. He always intended for us to look at what’s happening now. That’s what he tried to place emphasis on. He never wanted to place emphasis upon what is going to take place. He preached a message in the last part of his ministry. He waited until the last part of his ministry to preach that message, “Things That Are To Be”. Of course, he mentioned a lot of things that’s going to be. But Brother Branham had a positive Message for now. See? And that’s exactly what we have to do as ministers of this last- day Message, we have got to be positive of what’s taking place now. We’ve got to realize that God is here now.

A brother, a man called me the other day that use to be a real disciple of mine. I’ll put it that way. He said, “Brother Holmes, I love you to death.” I said, “I do you, too, Brother.” He said, “Now, I got to ask you a question,” he said, “I’ve found something,” and he said, “I want to know about it.” He said, “What about that Third Pull?” I said, “Well, Brother,” I said, “speaking the Word.” He said, “Brother Holmes,” he said, “Is this the Truth?” He said, “Am I seeing something?” He said, “Was that that John saw in that vision, (that Angel that was bringing these things to John), was that Brother Branham?” I said, “Now you’re getting in the right channel, Brother.” I said, “He said it was.” I said, “Yes, that was him.” I said, “You know, when he fell down to worship that Angel, that Angel reached down and picked him up and said, “Don’t do it. I’m of your brethren, one of the prophets.” He said, “I tell you,” he said, “There’s something in there, ain’t there?” I said, “Oh, yes, there’s so much in there.” And I said, “But it takes a long time, you know.” He said, “Well, I want to talk with you about it some more.” So, anyway, that was Brother Larry Spurlin. And then he got back on that works. I said, “Brother, listen,” I said, “We don’t preach works.” I said, “But I’m going to tell you something and you’ll see it.” I said, “When God moves into a channel, when he moves into an old pile of flesh, that old pile of flesh is going to clean up.” I said, “He ain’t going to live in a house of defilement. Amen. It’s going to be clean. That stuff will have to go. Amen.” So, maybe that Brother’s looking at it again in the right perspective. I hope so. Alright.

So now, in this Light, of course, where there is Light there is manifestation. You understand that? And where there is manifestation, there is truth  and perfection. What is truth? It’s perfection. Right? The Father said, “Be ye therefore perfect.” The Scripture said, Jesus said, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as the Father, which is in heaven is perfect.” Now, how in the world are we going to do that? Because we’re the same material. See, you have to be of the same material. Alright. So this Urim and Thummim serves a great purpose, and of course, it is... All of the fullness of God dwells where? In Jesus Christ. Is that what he said? The fullness of the Godhead bodily dwelled in Him. So anything that God wanted to manifest of Himself, He placed it in His Son. See? He placed that in His Son so that you could see God.

Brother Don was talking about some of that, I believe, Wednesday night. But you have got to see these things for yourself, see. I can see it, but I can’t see it for you. I can’t see it for you. I can tell you what it is. You can get an intellectual conception of it and you might feel like that you’ve got it. But somebody else might come along, with another good intellectual conception, and you might see something different, see. But if it’s in your heart, if it’s is revealed to you, then it is no longer an intellectual conception. It has passed then into a reality to be manifest. See? The Light then has become a manifestation, see. And what did Brother Branham say the Message was? It’s the Light of the age when It’s accepted. See, It’s the Light of the age when It’s accepted. So, that’s what the Message is. So, I want you to look at the Message in reality in the beginning of this message this morning, as the Urim and Thummim of our day. As the Urim and Thummim of our day. Now, notice in Ephesians 5, verse 13, just taking a portion of it there, He said,

...whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Whatever it is that makes manifest is Light. See, if you manifest something you’re throwing the light on it. See, you’re letting it be seen what it is. See? That’s what it is. Alright. So now, the high priest, actually, was walking into the presence of the Almighty God. He was the only one that could go in there and that was once a year. And actually, if there was any question, if there was any question about anything or about which way they should go or what they should do or anything they brought it before the Urim and Thummim. And then when that thing...if they were...it had to be presented there to see what that said. And then, if that rainbow of lights come off of there, then it’s right. You’re right on it. And if that rainbow of lights did not come off of there, stay put. Amen. That’s where people made their mistake when they run off. See, they didn’t hold it before the Urim and Thummim. If they’d have held it there, they’ve saw the rainbow of lights, like God intended for it to be. And then when you get off, of course, you get out of the channel of God. You say, “Oh, no, no.” Yes, that’s right. See, every channel that they were to go in, every move that they were to make, had to be actually first approved by the Urim and Thummim. That would have to be...

Of course... And that’s exactly the way it is today with the Lord Jesus. He’s our High Priest and He makes known the counsel of God to His church. He makes known the counsel of God to us, the Bride. That’s right. It’s all wrapped up in Jesus. And, as I was going to say a while ago, you know, and the devil kind of slipped that thing out of my mind and I went right on, you know, because I knew God would put it back. So, I didn’t say he slipped it out. See? But Brother Branham made a statement one time. He said, you know, he said, “I use to think that Jesus loved me and God hated me.” You remember that? Alright. He said, “But then I found out that Jesus was the very heart of God.” Amen. The very heart of God is Jesus Christ. That’s God. Amen. So He don’t hate us. He represents us. Amen. And we are to manifest His presence. We are to manifest Him, which is Light. Amen? Oh, my!

Now if I can just get this over, like, you know, and I ain’t got off the first page yet. So, I got about five or six or maybe eight of them, but I’ll get along there somewhere and I’ll start thumping through them in a little bit. But, watch now. Alright. In Him. In Him, Jesus Christ, is no darkness at all. How many of you believe that? The Scripture says, “There is no shadow of turning.” Not even a little shadow, no sir, nowhere. Now, so if He is the brightness and the shining forth and the manifestation of God’s glory, then what are we suppose to be? See, we’re suppose to be the shining glory of Jesus Christ. See? Is that what Brother...? Brother Branham said, “All that was in the Father, He poured it into Jesus Christ. And all that was in Jesus Christ, He poured it into the Bride.” Amen. So, you see where we are. Alright.

So now, the Urim and the Thummim, in other words, actually the Urim means, “Lights” plural, all of the lights of God. All of the lights of God. Amen. I hope you got it. Brother Don, you’re a light of God. So, you’re a part of the Urim, see? You’re a light of God, so you’re a part of the Urim. All of the “Lights” plural, of God is the Urim. Amen. Alright. Now, the Thummim is all of the perfections that is in the plural. Perfections of God, not of you. Amen. See? No perfection of you, the perfection of God. See, it’s God in us, the hope of glory. Is that right? Christ in you, the hope of glory. Not you, the hope of glory, but Christ in you, the hope of glory. Amen. Alright.

So, I’m going to try to turn this page. Alright? And get over here on something else. Now, let’s look in James 1:17 and see what He said there. God is the Father of Lights. How many of you believe that? And from whomever-in other... if there’s any good gift that’s going to come, if there’s any great thing that’s going to happen, it’s got to come from God. It’s got to come from God. Alright, so now, if we can look at it from that standpoint and we see that God is called the Father of Lights, He’s called the “Father of Lights,” in James 1:17. Is that right? I see you looking at it, Brother? That’s right, isn’t it? Alright, He’s called, “the Father, the Father of Lights” Amen. You see now? Does that back up what I said? So, if He’s the Father of Lights, He must have birthed that. See? Do you see how simple it is when you start looking at it? And you try to, with your intellectual conception, you’ll try to put yourself in the place, in there with God. But, when you start looking at it from the Scripture unfolding, from the Message unfolding, that puts you in there. It’s not you put yourself, He put you in there. He put you in there by letting you recognize who you are. See, and when you recognize who you are, you become a part of Him. If He identifies Himself as your Father, and He identifies you as a light, Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world. “ See? “A city that’s set upon a hill.” The Urim that’s set upon the hill that can’t be hid. Amen. So you see, this thing just gets bigger and bigger and bigger as we go along, but yet it gets more simple and more simple and more simple as we go along. See.

Use to we, somebody would say, “Well, we were in the Mind of God before the foundation of the world.” And it would scare you to death, you know. Well, how in the world could that be? Then after while you found out that it was actually a thought that had to be expressed. And the way you express a thought is by speaking it and then it becomes the Word of God and then it becomes manifest upon the earth at it’s original time when it’s suppose to come and all of it begins to unfold in simplicity, see. But then, when we have to get a board and draw it out you know and make it great big things, the theologians, time they get through with it, you know, they’ve explained the thing away. But the Holy Spirit wants to quicken it to our heart. Amen. The Father of Lights. Alright. So now, if He’s the Father of Lights, He’s my Father, I must be a light. Amen. That’s what He said. I believe it. You say, “Now, Brother Holmes you’re going to get plumb fanatic after while.” Well, just call me what you want to. I’m happy. I’m happy with it. Alright. So, it don’t make any difference what you call me. We’ll find that in the Message in a little bit. Brother Branham said, “It don’t make no difference what they say about you.” Amen. Alright.

So now, we find out then that the Father of the Urim or Lights, He is also the Thummim, perfection, and that is plural, too. See? “For in Him there is no shadow of turning.” Not even a shadow that can be cast. Look at the pyramids. Look at the Great Pyramid. It was built and stands there as a symbol. There is never a shadow. Never a shadow. The way it’s built, it cannot be a shadow on it nowhere, see. It stands there as a symbol. Alright. He also is our Rock. He’s the Rock. Alright. Now, His work is perfect. It is not a hit and a miss. His work is perfect. If God calls a man to do something, He’s going to perfect the work of that man. See? And so, you know, you can’t change it, because it’s His doings, see. You’re never going to be able to do that. Alright.

Now. Also, we find out that His ways are judgment. Is that right? His ways are judgment. Alright? So then..., Like I told the Brother, yesterday, I said, “You see, the Word of God, the Third Pull, see, the Third Pull was a Message. And that Message was for the Bride and to the total lost.” See? See, when Jesus went down while His body laid in the tomb, He went down there for a double purpose. He went down there to manifest Himself to all the patriarchs, all of them from Adam all the way through, that I’m the One. Every one of the sacrifices that you offered... a lamb without spot or blemish, it was pointing to me. Now the reality of it has happened and I’m here. And then to the others it was to the total lost, a Message that they couldn’t be saved. They had missed the boat. They had denied the Message, see, and they were not accepted, and then it’d be too late. When the door is closed, there won’t be nobody else come in. See, the door closed to the Pentecostal age. Nobody will come in under that age no more. You can try to take the people back to penetecost all you want to, but there is nothing back there but carion! Absolutely! No sir, you will not find Life back there no more! Why? Because He called all of that out, amen, and started His work of claiming what He had redeemed, what He had stood there and represented before the Father for two thousand years. Then He come forth and said, “Now it’s time for me claim my possessions. They’re mine and I want to make Myself one with them.” Amen. And that’s exactly what He’s doing. Alright.

So now, watch now, as we go on. The Father of Lights, we found that in James 1:17, didn’t we? Alright. Then we also find out that He’s the Father of mercy. If you want to put these Scriptures down, you’ll find that Paul said that in II Corinthians, Chapter 1, Verse 3. Alright. And then we find out  He’s the Father of glory in Ephesians 1:17. Alright. Then He’s the Father of Spirits. Right? He’s the Father of Spirits in Hebrews 12:9. So He’s the Father of all of these things. He’s the Father. And when we start looking and seeing all of this, then we know..., then we find out who we are. We find out who, you know... That is the main thing, is to know who you are. See, perfect realization. Perfect realization. Realizing that all the time that we were a part of God. And all the way through the crooks and the bends and everything of life, over here pick up a little bit, and over there pick up a little bit, and finally coming into the channel. See? And where you can see it all, and say, “Praise the Lord, I had to come through a lot of brooks and I had to come over a lot of stony places and I had to be knocked about and beat,” you know, real good. You know, that’s the way they do gold. I mean they have to keep beating it and beating it and beating it and beating it and you have to go through a lot of things. And then after a while you come forth and those trials were as precious as gold. That’s right. Because everyone of them, they’re for a purpose. Every one of them is for a purpose and He said that He’d already delivered us out of them, see. So, we don’t have to worry about getting bogged down and not making it. See. Alright.

Alright, now watch this. In the vision that John saw, in the 1st Chapter of Revelation, John saw one like the Son of Man standing in the midst of seven golden candlesticks, right? Am I right? Alright. If there’s any doubt about that, now I want to go read it. Everybody believe that? Alright, so now, what did His eyes look like? Huh? Flame of fire! Light, shining on that age. Amen. See, the lights of that age. Alright. And then, there was a Message that went out. That Message was a rebuke or a commendation, or it could have been both. In some of the church ages He recommended them for one thing and He rebuked them for something else, because they didn’t do all of it, see? But what was the difference, Brother Don, back there and now? See? The difference back there was the high priest was still in the mediatorial work. He was still walking in before the Father with all of the names and saying, “But I died for him.” See? “I know he done wrong. I know he smoked cigars.” Old Luther, they tell me he smoked cigars and drank his beer. See? “But I died for him.” See, He would stand there and say, “Father, that’s what I died for.” Alright. So, what would the Father do? He’d look back through that blood and He’d see him snow white, see, because of the Mediator. Well, that’s what the high priest done back there, Brother Gerald, for all of those, see. The only way that they could come out of there would be identified by a certain thing. And they had to be identified by a type of Jesus Christ, which was the high priest with the Urim and Thummim! They had to be identified across His breast! Oh, my! Amen. And then, all through the church ages the whole church of God was identified in the great High Priest that went in before the Father, daily, amen, to make reconciliations, propitiations, all of these things. They come out. Brother Branham said Luther come out with the wrong baptism and he didn’t live a good life like a lot of people might have thought that he ought to live, but he had a sacrifice. That sacrifice was what was looked at. Amen. Alright.

And so then, coming down in our day, then it comes down to the lights and perfections in our day. See? You understand? Alright. No longer, no longer... We worry about whether we’re going to be lost or not if we don’t do this, or if we don’t do that. We have found ourself in Christ. Alright. We found ourself now, in Him. Alright. So, let me try to go on. So he saw him in the midst of these candlesticks as a flame of fire, (his eyes) as a flame of fire. Alright. The Lights and perfections of God searching through every church age, every church age. And the Priest of the Most High was there to make sure that they got what they were suppose to get in the form of the Word for that age. See? In the form of the Word for that age was... that was the High Priest. That was the Messenger of that age. Actually, when Luther come, he was the light for that age, see, and he had a message for the lights. Alright. I know thy works and He would encourage them if He was commending them or He would rebuke them and tell them what they were doing wrong. Why? Because actually, holiness, cleanliness, sanctification,... Amen. You can’t say, “Well, I can go out there and smoke my cigarettes and drink my...” You can’t do that today. You can’t go out there and say, “It don’t make any difference the way I’m baptized.” No, you can’t do that today. No, sir. Why? Because the lights has shown. Amen. No, sir. Watch, now. You say, “Well, what Scripture did you read there?” I read Psalms 93, Verse 5. Alright.

Now, let’s go on down a little bit and see if we can... The Father seeketh such to worship Him, in Spirit and in Truth. We can’t worship Him in flesh. We’ve got to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Alright. So, you never brought your physical body down and laid it on the altar. What did you bring down there? Your soul. You brought the nature. The nature of that spirit is what you brought right down here because you have to worship God in Spirit and in Truth, not in flesh. See? But the Spirit and the Truth that worship God brings the flesh under subjection, see. But you see, you put your soul on the brazen altar. And then that soul had to be accepted by God. Then what happen? It was destroyed. Annihilated. Then that let the spirit be free to marry another husband, see, because  the old husband was dead. Then the new husband begins to direct the spirit into true worship of God. See, not trying to pray in the mind, but waiting until... if you don’t say but fifteen words, get there somewhere where you can pray in the Spirit! Amen. It’s so important. It’s so important. I know you want to talk to God and sometimes your mind is going and you’re going and you’re going and you’re talking to Him. And that’s alright, but somewhere another you want to break through that wall. Somewhere another you want to break through that into the Spirit and then something happens. See, something happens then, you begin to talk to Him and knowing without a shadow of a doubt He’s there. Amen. He’s listening. Something took place. You worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Amen. Alright.

So now, He seeks such to worship Him. So now, the names and the judgments of Israel was always on the heart of the high priest. Every time he went in that place, they were there. And actually, every time that the great High Priest, our High Priest..., And then another thing... I’ve got to stop right here a minute. How many of you know that the Scripture says that you have a new name? And where did He say that name would be? In a white stone. When we carried Sister Long over yesterday, that old house that she lived in, and I walked out by there leading the casket, and I looked down. I saw a white stone, white marble. I saw a name in there, Donald Scott. Amen. I thought, “now that might not be the name that’s in that real white stone, but that’s a type,” see. That’s a type, there’s that white stone. And I got to thinking about that, and I already had this, you know, already had these quotes out here. And I said, “My, my, look at that. They put a white stone there with his name in it.” Amen. So now, let’s look and see what Brother Branham said about that stone. You ain’t getting tired, are you? Alright. Don’t get tired on me. I got to do something here. Alright. Now,

“...the Bible said, ‘He that overcometh will I give a white stone and a new name that no one knows but He himself.’”

Well, what is that? Now look, he goes on to tell us something here.

(It) don’t make any difference what people say. You know yourself when you have been brought into the inner veil. (You know it. See?) No one could tell you any different. Not because you joined a church or because you did this or that, but something tells you...”

See? Something tells you.

“...You’ve got a stone that’s in the heart...”

Now, listen. You say, “Oh, I thought the stone was taken out.” Yeah that old hard one was, but listen to this.

“... Not a hard stone, a soft one. This Stone makes your heart soft instead of hard.”

See, it makes your heart soft to receive the Message. Amen. Oh, my. Watch this now. That was on “Why Are People So Tossed About?” and he preached that in 1956 in Jeffersonville. This is “How Can I Overcome”, in  1963. He said:

“Whether I’m a spoonful of ashes or whether I’m living when He comes, it matters me no difference. Amen! Doesn’t matter, because I’ve caught the vision. (I’ve caught the vision.) The veil rolled back, and I see Him, One that could stand and put His hand upon me, (Now, listen to this.) One that could stand and put His hand upon me,...”

A rank sinner. No good! And reach over and put His hand upon the Father and bring it together. Amen. And how did He do it? By the sacrificial Blood. Amen. Watch.

“...(And He) could put His hand upon me, a sinful man, and upon a holy God; and He’s my Propitiation. (He is my propitiation.) He is the Word that I stand for. In the beginning was the Word; He’s that Word, and He represents me there. (He represents me there. Alright.) Amen! And I’ll scream as long as I have breath. He is my Resurrection and my Life. AND all other grounds are sinking sand, all other grounds are sinking sand.”

See, He’s my Life. So, what are these messages doing, Brother Kenan? They’re actually identifying a reality of what has already been preached. The things have already been preached here, the unfolding of the Message. This is just making it a little more real and letting you see the reality of it, see. Alright. Now, watch.

“As He caught them who looked for that, (Watch, now. When He went down there. When He went down.) so will He come to each New Testament saint (He will come to each individual) New Testament saint that’s overcome every denominational critic, (Amen.) who’s ever overcome all the popular sins of this day,...”

You know, the popular sins, you know, like little things that don’t seem so bad, you know. Alright. He’s overcome all of that. Alright.

“...of this age that we live in now, like He did in all the other church ages. Those who overcome in that church age, those who overcome what? ‘I am rich. I have need of nothing. (See.) I have... Oh, I’m all this, and all this, and I’m the bride. I’m this; I have need of nothing...’ (See, watch.) and (they) don’t know that you are naked and blind.” (See? Oh, my.)

“See that deceiving age that I said? It’s not like them that had their heads cut off back yonder to get the white stone, (Not like that. No.) not those who died under martyrdoms and burnt by the stakes and things like that, who won the crown, but it’s (the) deceiving age now, (It’s the deceiving age. Now you) that think they’re everything...,”

See, they think they’re everything. The most deceiving age is the age when the Message is here, the last-day Message. Watch. Now.

“...‘Well, I’m church member. I’m a good man. I’m a good woman. I do this; I don’t have to do that.’ But he that overcometh...” (See, he that overcometh.)

“He that overcomes all those worldly things of this age...,”

Don’t start slipping them into your house. Get them out. Don’t start crowding out the Holy Spirit. Make room for Him. Amen. See?

“...All will set with Him in His throne, will go in the rapture when He comes. Oh, my. What do I care then, what should we care what the world says? (About us. Amen.) What should we care what anybody else says?...”

Have you ever felt kind of a desire to..., a little urge to testify to somebody? And then, what would happen? Satan will say, “Now, they’ll laugh in your face. Well, they’re not going to accept that. You don’t think that, as intelligent as they are, they’re going to accept something like that.” Why he’ll come to you with all kinds of things to try to keep you from witnessing. Amen. But the thing of it is, we need to witness. Amen. When we have that desire, say, “Satan, somebody told me about it one day and I’m going to tell somebody else, amen, and they’re going to tell somebody else.”

The woman at the well, that’s what she’d been looking for all of her life and, then she took off and told somebody else. And here they come, and they saw it and they went and told somebody else. Amen. It’s got to the place, you know, where we kind of water it down, because we’re afraid we’re going to be rejected. We’re already rejected! Amen. Don’t be afraid. Amen. Witness. Be a witness. Amen. Be a Light for Jesus, like the young’uns use to sing, you know. Alright. Alright.

“He that overcomes all of the worldly things of this age,” Well, what should we care what they say about us? Alright. ...His Pillar of Fire leads us and guides us. His Word’s a-vindicated before us. His love is in our heart. The world is in the back. We’ve passed from death unto Life. The world thinks you’re crazy, (Amen.) But:

“Must Jesus bear the cross alone,”

“And all the world go free? (No.)

“There’s a cross for every one,”

“And there’s a cross for me.”

You say, “Brother Holmes, you’re going backwards?” Yeah, I do that sometimes. Alright. Now,

“That’s what we all want, isn’t it? That’s what we want. That’s our...hope and plea. No other thoughts have we, but that one upon Jesus Christ. And (in) His righteousness we stand alone, in His righteousness in His Word...”

Amen. What is righteousness? It’s perfection, because it’s not yours, it’s His. Amen. Alright. And then what is the Word? It’s the Light. Sure It is. Alright.

“...‘And the Word was made flesh (Manifestation.)and dwelled among us’. And the Word is still vindicating Itself.”

The Word is still vindicating itself, right now, right here. The Word is still vindicating itself. Amen. You believe that? Alright. Well, the word “sustain” means “to be kept”, don’t it? Keep you? Alright. He sustains us. You know, sometimes you see these things in the Scripture and sometimes you’d be surprised how many words you read over and don’t really understand what it is, unless you go back and... I’m not a English teacher, not by a long shot, I tell you that. I guess I’m about the worse one when it comes to understanding the exact vocabulary of the English, of the words of the English vocabulary. But, you see, I do have a dictionary. I do have Strongs Concordance. See? I can go back and see what things mean. And that’s what I use it for. See, I got it right there on... You have, too, those of you that’s got your computers. You know, you got it right there. Look it up and see what it means. Alright. But, He sustains each believer as a peculiar value to Himself.

When I saw where Brother Branham said that they are peculiar value, a value, more than the world. “What should it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what would a man give in exchange for his soul?” What is it in this life would pull you away from Christ? That’s what you would accept in exchange for your soul. See? So we have to be careful in knowing what is right and what is wrong, and the Holy Spirit will let us know. We don’t have to, just keep, you know, joggling  around. He’ll let us know. Alright. Now. Each one of those elected of God... You know that this is right in the Message. Each one of those elected of God, they have an eternal quality in Him. Is that what Brother Branham said? I believe he said that in the Church Ages Book. An eternal quality, right? Alright. And they have their place in the heart of Christ. Where else would you want to be? What else would you want? My! And in the glory of God. Because He is the manifestation of the Father. He’s the glory of the Father. He’s all of that. And we find our place...

What did the Scripture say? “That we might be seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” right in His heart. Right in His heart spiritually, right in His heart. Amen. So these things are getting real, real, real to us or they’d better be. They’d better be getting more spiritual to us every day and more real to rule out our own carnal thinking. As I told a Brother, yesterday, I said, “When a person begins to look at things carnally, it is hard to get them to understand spiritual things.” See, you’ve got to discard your carnality, your carnal reasoning, and you’ve got to come God’s way, and accept the way that He’s provided for you. See? And then when you do that you don’t have no more trouble.

Alright, now, this is said of the church, or of the elect, the whole body of Christ, that He loved it. Is that what the Scripture said? And He gave Himself for it. Is that right? He loved us so much until He gave Himself for us. We’re talking about the Urim and Thummim now. Alright. You say, “You’re plumb off your subject.” No sir, I’m right on the subject. What I’m trying to do is bring it from the Old Testament to the New Testament to today, right to today, right now. That He might sanctify... What is that? Make holy. Right? And cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word. Well what Word would that be? It would have to be the Word of the hour, see. That He might present it to Himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. Don’t have no spots, no wrinkles, or no such thing as that. Amen. Alright. But that it should be holy and without blemish. Alright.

Now, if He’s to make us like that, then of course, He would have to be the same thing that gave His life. See, in other words, He would have to be holy and without blemish. Then He’s going to present each one of you... How? With condemnation? He’s going to present you, every one of you that’s elect of God, faultless, absolute faultless. Amen. Justified. Never did do no wrong in your life. You did a lot of wrongs when you were dead. See? When you were dead in trespasses and in sins, you did all of them things. But since you have been resurrected to life, you have not sinned. You have never sinned. You have never done nothing wrong. You are faultless. There’s nothing against you, not one thing. The Urim and Thummim says that we are clear, that we are absolutely faultless because we are represented by the Word, (what we are). Amen.

Alright. Now. And it just gets better and better and better and better. Alright. And so, I’m happy about it. Alright. Now. If He does sustain us in that way now, then of course we must be brought in unity with the lights because there’s no shadow of turning, in Him that is the Father of Lights. See, I’m back in there again. And then, of course, if He is the Father of those lights, then those lights must be perfections. See? So we must be perfect in Him, there’s no fault in us. So He bears each individual, each individual, and He presents each one faultless in the presence of the glory of God, every one of them faultless. So God’s judgment to the church is that each one of us, each member of the church, stand as a light, or in the Light.

Now what was it that that old boy, you know, that had that dream, and I can’t ... Daniel Curry, was that his name? Daniel Curry had the dream, you know, and he thought he had been the best fellow in the world, you know. And so... But you see, he never had been in the presence of the lights. But he said when he got into the presence, there was nothing hid. See? It brought everything out, everything. “Daniel Curry, did you ever lie on earth?” Now he said he thought he’d been truthful, but he said he could not say that he hadn’t lied. “Have you ever done this?” He found out that standing in the presence of God was different from standing the presence of a man. See what I’m saying? Amen. Oh, my. We’ve got to stand in His presence. We’ve got to stand in His... because we have got to stand there with our sacrifice. Not what you did, but accepting Him as our sacrifice, as our Lord, as our God, and as our judgment. See, He’s Christ, and He is the beloved.

Alright, now, the sentence is already pronounced. The sentence is already pronounced now, and you’ll never have to go to judgment, see. What was the sentence? “You are justified.” Amen. You say, “That’s not a sentence.” Well, actually, it is. Amen. We are sentenced to eternal life. Amen. Not sentenced to hell, sentenced to eternal life. Amen. And I love to talk about it, don’t you? Alright. Now, what is suppose to happen when all these things come to pass? The Scripture said “That it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when we see Him...” How are you going to see Him? “When we see Him, we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is.” Amen. I’ve tried my best to tell you what He is this morning. Amen. And we shall see Him as He is and then we are to be like Him, like Him. So, actually, God commends His love to all of His subjects, and while we were sinners, the Scripture said, He died for us. While we were sinners He died for us, Romans 5, Verse 8. Alright.

Now, let us look in here a little bit. You could never measure under no circumstances... There’s not a rule long enough, there’s not a tape long enough, the world is not long enough around it, to measure the love of God that He  had for us. And so, I mean... “Thou hast loved them as Thou hast love Me.” Where did Jesus say that? In Saint John 17, see. I’ve got so much consolation out of that one chapter so many times, Brother Don. You know, when all the talk and everything is going on and people’s talking about you, you know, and saying that I wouldn’t go over there and listen to that old man. I wouldn’t do this. And then I go back over there in the 17th Chapter of Saint John and I look there where He prayed, “Father, make them one as You and I are one.” I said, “Uh-oh, devil, see you missed it, because He already made us one with Him.” So whatever the people say, don’t pay no attention to it.

Amen. So now, the onyx stones upon the shoulders bore their names before the Lord according to their births. See? According to their birth. Alright. And that was a memorial of strength and power, see, not one shoulder, both shoulders. See? Strength and power represented to those patriarchs, according to their birth. See. And then, as they stood in the presence of Jehovah, upon the breastplate in tribal order. See? A double representation, so there would be no mistake about it. See? They were always to remember the power of God, and every one with their name according to the twelve tribes that was graven on his own precious stone. Like I read a while ago, we’ll have a white stone, a new name in that. And every one of them tribes represented a bunch of people. See? Like the church age messengers. Amen. Every one of them represented that age, each one represented his age. See? And he’s going to have to stand there and identify himself, according to what Brother Branham said, with that age. What about the Bride Age? Amen. Amen.

So, we know that Christ did come down. We know that He did come down, Brother Don. And He has not gone nowhere. Christ is here, the Head, is here. Amen. He is here. The body is resurrected to the Head. Things are going on. Things are happening, either with us or without us, things are happening. I want to be with it. Amen. I don’t want to miss it. Alright. So, the Urim and the Thummim that was put in the breastplate of judgment, it actually expressed God’s judgment of the children of Israel, upon the heart of the high priest that was representing them. So there couldn’t be no judgment. I mean... So you see, they were safe in what the high priest was doing. The high priest was the one that actually was representing them. Jesus Christ is the One that represented us and He still does. And so, there is no shadow of turning in Him. It’s just all real. Alright.

Now, I got to go over here and read a few quotes and then I’m going to get done. I’m doing good. Alright. “The Voice Of The Sign”. “The Voice Of The Sign”. There was a sign given in our day, and that sign had a Voice. That’s right. The sign, the Voice, the Urim, the Thummim. See, you can look at the sign, and you can say, “Oh, my, that must have been Jesus doing all of those things.” And then, look at the Voice and say, “Well, I tell you what, he really prays for the sick. He’s got a lot of faith and so forth, but don’t get tied up with his message.” You hypocrites. Amen. Want the loaves and fishes, but you don’t want Him to be Lord, do you? Amen. No, you don’t want Him to be Lord of your life, see. Amen. We got a lot of people like that in the world. Amen. They want all of the benefits of God, but they don’t want to give Him all of their... They don’t want to open up all of the doors. Amen. They got a few little isolated places they keep to themselves, and they don’t want that to be exposed. See? Amen.

But you know, when He comes into the house... Brother Branham preached a message, “Doors in Door”. And when He comes in your house, Brother Lanny, He’s going into every room. You might as well take the locks off. You might as well open every door. If you got them old dirty magazines and things, you might as well realize that He’s going to go in there too. See, if you got them old televisions, He’s going to go in there too. If you got them old movies that ain’t suppose to be in, He’s going in there. Every room has got to be opened, because He’s going to search every one of them. Amen. Every one. Amen. Now, this is what gets good, ain’t it? To know that He loves us so much He’ll come along and He’ll say, “That needs to go.” Amen. And we love Him so much, Brother Don, we say, “Yes, sir, Lord, that goes.” Amen. And He’ll say, “Now this needs to go.” Oh, my. Amen.

Brother Branham talked about women wearing high heeled shoes, you know, and some of them will push to the limit. They’ll get something and measure and measure, then want to measure to the one-tenth of an inch, or maybe a thousandth to make sure they got two inches. Why don’t you give them the benefit of the doubt? You say, “Brother Holmes, you shouldn’t have said that.” Why not? Hey, I talked about the television. I talked about all of these other things. I mean, hey, He’s going in every room. See, He’s going to look through every room. He’s going to look and see what you got hanging in the closet that you won’t wear to church, but you’ll wear uptown somewhere. Huh? Yeah. He’ll see that old split-tailed dress that you pin up when you come around and see people of God, but you won’t sew it up. And then when you go out there on the streets, you’ll take the pins out of it, He sees that. Amen.

He’s going to say, “That’s got to go.” Amen. Hey, are we wanting... Do we want to go? Do we want to get out of here? Well, let’s clean up every bit, you  know. Clean the whole house. Amen. Everything. Oh, my, I get happy when I get to thinking about that, you know, because I know He can help us. He can help us. And He’ll tell us what’s right and what’s wrong. He’ll say, “Now you need to get that old stuff out of the way. You need to get this out of the way.” That old music, you know, comes “Boom-boom-boomp-a-boom-boom,” yeah, and they call it religious music. It is religious. Yes sir, but it certainly is not sacred. A lot of it that they call religious. Gospel, they got that rock gospel. Amen. Well, okay. Alright. Now, “The Voice Of The Sign”.

“Now listen, let’s go back just a moment here, a little thought. In the Old Testament before the Bible was written just had the scrolls and so forth, It hadn’t been put together, like the book of Isaiah’s writing, the book of so-and-so’s writing, the prophets. now, if a man come up with something that he had dreamed, (or) a dream, or he was a prophet, the first thing, they’d take him down to the temple, to the Urim Thummim.”

They didn’t take what he said, say, “Praise God, look at that!” No, sir, they took him before the Urim Thummim, see. See? Amen. Alright.

(And) The ministers here, and many of you brethren out there know what the Urim Thummim was. It was the breastplate of Aaron. They hung it up on a post in the temple. And now, notice. When that man begin to speak, and if whatever he said, if it wasn’t true, that light stood still...”

That’s exactly the way it is with the Message. When a man is claiming to be in this Message and what he says is not true, there won’t be no glow across that Message, no Shekinah Glory at all. Amen. Alright.

“...There was nothing. But what he said, if it was true, then a conglomeration of lights like a rainbow begin to flash. And that was called the Urrim-Thummim...” (See, alright, well)...

“What was it? The sign.” (It was the sign, see?) “No matter how it sounded, the sign must be given with the voice...”

See, if the prophet comes, then we’ve got to take the Voice. When we take the manifestation of the prophet, you know, we got to take the Voice, the Message with it. See, alright.

“...See, the sign comes, and then the voice. There must be ...or the voice is not recognized. that’s Right. No matter what the voice said, how real it sounds, if that Urim Thummim didn’t declare it, then it wasn’t right.

And any kind of sign that’s showed today... I know God can do things that’s not wrote in the Bible. But to me, we’re living in the hour that we should be very careful. The Urim Thummim today is God’s Bible. (God’s Word.) That shows what’s supposed to take place today” (Amen.)

“When they think we got to build a bigger organization,...”

You know what I mean? See, when we’ve got to get all the ministers together and for what? It was very, very emphatic on what he wanted to get those churches together for. Green stuff. Amen. Brother Branham said there’s three things that’ll get a minister. You let him get in a popular situation where people are lifting him up. Paul said, “I was given a thorn in the flesh lest I be exalted above measure.” Amen. You let him get in that position and the first thing you  know something is going to catch his attention if he’s not a real borned-again of the Message of the hour. Amen. You see what I mean? Alright. Now. So, let me go on. Well...

“When they think we got to build a bigger organization, we got to get into the ecumenical council, that’s a sign of unity? To me, it’s a sign of the antichrist. (See?) That’s exactly what the Bible spoke of. Sure. It’s not a scriptural sign, ( it’s) only on the other side. It let’s the believer know which way it’s headed. The Urim-Thummim is God’s Word. And what he said would take place in the last days, that’s exactly what’s got to flash...”

That has got to flash. Amen. Oh, my. Well...

“There’s only one sign we look for. And that’s the vindicated Word of God, when it’s thus saith the Lord. That’s the voice of the sign: God’s Word first. And when the Urim Thummim spoke, they said, ‘That’s right’...”

When Brother Branham said, “Clean your house. Apply the token,” is that the Urim Thummim? Is that what it is? Alright. Then...

“...‘That’s right.’ when them lights flashed, a sign was there, and the voice was true.” (The voice was true.)

Alright. We many times interpret, and we say, “It’s this,” or “and this is that,” and so forth. God don’t need an interpreter. He’s His own interpreter. God don’t need us to interpret His Word. The Bible is written and it said, “It’s of no private interpretation.” God said, in the beginning, “Let there be light.” And there was light. Now that’s the interpretation of it. God said, “A virgin shall conceive.” And she did. Well, that’s the interpretation of it. It doesn’t need anybody to interpret. Alright. God said in this day these things would happen and they are. It don’t need any interpretation. It’s God doing His own interpretation. It happens. Now matter now much we try to twist it and say, “It don’t mean this and it don’t mean that.” It means exactly and God is His own interpreter. He vindicates His Word and that’s His interpretation of it, because it’s brought to pass. Manifestation. Urim and Thummim. I’m going to read that verse again in closing, while the sister comes.

And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually.

May God help us to search out our lives daily, and to make sure that we don’t get any wiggle-tails in the water, or no trash on the line, because just as certain as something happens to the telephone line, when you hear all that cracking and popping and carrying on, there’s something wrong. And so when all of  this cracking and popping and we don’t get what we are calling for, something’s wrong. Amen. So, let us all make sure that God, number one, has called us for a specific purpose and that is to identify with the Word of the age with a manifestation of the same, with the manifestation of the same. The Urim, the Lights, the Thummim, the perfection. Amen.

Let us stand. He’s real. Yes, sir. We’re going to talk about, “The Robe” Wednesday night. Amen. We’ve got to have a certain kind. It’s got to be... It’s not our own choosing. No, sir. We’ve got to have a certain kind of robe. That song that’s coming to my mind, “When I first found Jesus, something over me stole... a feeling came from heaven gushing.” What’s the number of that? Some body find that? And I don’t even know the name of it. But that’s what I want to sing, and I don’t know the name of it. That’s the reason..., usually I can just take the book and open up pretty close to it. But, when it’s on my mind, you know I’ve done it a hundred times right here, but I don’t remember the name of that song. Amen. Now we got time. Don’t get in no hurry. We want to worship God a little bit.

“I Am Determined To Hold Out To The End”. That’s right. You know, it just come to my heart and then when it does I... What number is it? 156. Alright. 156. “I Am Determined To Hold Out To The End”. Let’s sing it like we mean it. If you’re determined to hold out to the end, then everything will fall in place for you. Alright.

(Congregation sings and are dismissed.)

Listed below are the Scripture and Quotes that were taken from the Message of our Prophet for the basis of this sermon.

EXODUS 28:30 - And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually

EPHESIANS 5:13 - But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO TOSSED ABOUT  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-14  SUNDAY  56-0101
17-2 - The Bible said, "He that overcometh will I give a white stone and a new name that no one knows but he himself."

Don't make any difference what people say. You know yourself when you've been brought into the inner veil. No one could tell you any different. Not because you joined church, because you did this or that, but something just tells you. You've got a stone that's in the heart, not a hard stone, a soft one. This stone makes your heart soft instead of hard.

HOW CAN I OVERCOME  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-12  SUNDAY  63-0825M
169 - On that Easter morning when He arose out yonder, and Job's body no more than a spoonful of ashes, he was waiting; he was that elected group. He rose from the grave and entered into the city with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job. Oh, my. Glory. Amen. For they looked for such a Person.

And to those who look for Christ the second time, that can overcome the things of this world by His grace, to come into Him and shut your eyes to any thing else but Him and His Word, He will appear the second time in glory. "For the trumpet of God shall sound, the dead in Christ shall rise, those which are alive and remain shall be changed in a moment in a twinkling of an eye and be caught up together to meet Him in the air."

171 - Whether I'm a spoonful of ashes or whether I'm living when He comes, it matters me no difference. Amen. Doesn't matter, because I've caught the vision. The veil rolled back, and I see Him, One that could stand and put His hand upon me, a sinful man, and upon a holy God; and He's my Propitiation. He is the Word that I stand for. In the beginning was the Word; He's that Word, and He represents me there. Amen. And I'll scream as long as I have breath. He is my Resurrection and my Life. And all other grounds are sinking sand, all other grounds are sinking sand.

172 - As He caught them who looked for that, so will He come to each New Testament saint that's overcome every denominational critic, who's ever overcome all the popular sins of this day, of this age that we live in now, like He did in all the other church ages. Those who overcome in that church age, those who overcome what? "I am rich. I have need of nothing. I have... Oh, I'm all this, and all this, and I'm the bride. I'm this; I have need of nothing," and don't know that you are naked, blind.

See that deceiving age that I said? It's not like them that had their heads cut off back yonder to get the white stone, not those who died under martyrdoms and burnt by the stakes and things like that, who won the crown, but it's this deceiving age now, that think that they're everything, "Well, I'm a church member. I'm a good man. I'm a good woman. I do this; I don't have to do that." But he that overcometh...

174 - He that overcomes all those worldly things of this age, what will they do? All will set with Him in His throne, will go in the rapture when He comes. Oh, my. What do I care then? What should we care what the world says? What should we care what anybody else says? The great Holy Spirit is among us. His Pillar of Fire leads us and guides us. His Word's a-vindicated before us. His love is in our heart. The world is in the back. We've passed from death unto Life. The world thinks you're crazy, but:

Must Jesus bear this cross alone,

And all the world go free?

There's a cross for every one,

And there's a cross for me.

Thirty-three years in the field, and,

This consecrated cross I'll bear

Until death shall set me free,...

Let my brothers turn me down and say whatever they want to, what, turn me down, but on this Word I stand and this alone.

This consecrated cross I'll bear

Until death shall set me free,

And then go home in the rapture a

... crown to wear,...

That's what we all want, isn't it? That's what we want. That's our--that's our hope and plea. No other thoughts have we, but that one upon Jesus Christ. And upon His righteousness we stand alone, in His righteousness in His Word, "And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us." And the Word is still vindicating Itself.

VOICE OF THE SIGN  TULARE.CA  V-22 N-12  FRIDAY  64-0214
94 - The Pillar of Fire as soon as the--the sign come up there, it was the--that was the sign that the voice was ready to speak.

And we see the sign of the end. Is that right? The sign of the end, how many believes that? Say "amen." Then the voice is ready to speak. The voice is ready to speak because we see the sign. The Pillar of Fire was there to say that the voice was ready to speak.

Also, it must be a Scriptural sign, must be a Scriptural vindication of the Word that's promised for that day. How perfect is God's order at each time.

97 - Now listen, let's go back just a moment here, a little thought. In the Old Testament before the Bible was written, just had the scrolls and so forth, it hadn't been put together, like the book of Isaiah's writing, the book of so-and-so's writing, the prophets. Now, if a man come up with something that he had dreamed a dream, or he was a prophet, the first thing, they taken him down to the temple to the Urim Thummim.

The ministers here, and many of you brethren out there know what the Urim Thummim was. It was--it was the breastplate of Aaron. They hung it upon a post in the temple. And now, notice. When that man begin to speak, and if whatever he said, if it wasn't true, that light stood still. There was nothing. But what he said, if it was true, then a conglomeration of lights, like a rainbow, begin to flash. And that was called the Urim Thummim. Brothers know that? Sure, Sure, that was Urim Thummim.

99 - What was it? The sign. No matter how it sounded, the sign must be given with the voice. Amen. See, the sign comes, and then the voice. There must be that or the voice is not recognized. That's right. No matter what the voice said, how real it sound, if that Urim Thummim didn't declare it, then it wasn't right.

And any kind of sign that's showed today... I know God can do things that's not wrote in the Bible. But to me, we're living in the hour that we should be very careful. The Urim Thummim today is God's Bible. That shows what's supposed to take place today.

101 - When they think we got to build a bigger organization, we got to go into the ecumenical council, that's a sign of unity? To me, it's a sign of the antichrist. That's exactly what the Bible spoke of. Sure. It's not a Scriptural sign, only on the other side. It lets the believer know which way it's headed. The Urim Thummim is God's Word. And what He said would take place in the last days, that's exactly what's got to flash. And it's a wrong sign.

Man said, "Well, I got a Ph.D., LL.D. I was made so-and-so. I'm Doctor so-and-so." That's no Bible sign, not no Bib... "Well, I'm the head of so-and-so. I'm a district man. I'm--I'm the bishop. I'm..." I don't care what you are.

There's only one sign we look for. And that's the vindicated Word of God, when it's THUS SAITH THE LORD. That's the voice of the sign: God's Word first. And when the Urim Thummim spoke, they said, "That's right." When them lights flashed, a sign was there, and the voice was true.
