Death and Life Chapter 14 - Part 1

Congregation sings, “Only Believe.”

Let’s bow our heads. Precious Holy Father, the great God that brought again our Lord Jesus from the grave, that sent back the Spirit upon the church to quicken that church, even the mortal bodies. We know that You’re God. We know that You’ve lost none of Your power and none of Your ability to lead and to guide and to help your children to know, Lord, what to do.  We know that there is no power that is greater than You and we’re coming to You tonight, Lord, singing that little song “Only Believe.” All things are possible to them that believe. We know, Lord, that that is true because You spoke it from Your own lips and we know that there is nothing... As our prophet said that he was told by the Angel of the Lord that if he could get the people to believe him, then nothing would stand in the way, not even cancer. Lord, we know that this is an hour of make-believe among many people; this is an hour of unbelief among many people. This is also an hour of true fellowship with the Word of God of this day and those that are of the true faith of Abraham. And Lord Jesus, we believe that You are still the father of Abraham, the father of Isaac, the father of Jacob. Not only that, we believe that you are the father of Brother Branham. We believe, Lord, that you’re the father of these children right here, even Brother Tiny, as he’s laying there in the hospital tonight. We believe that You are able, more than able, to do exceedingly, abundantly, above that that we’re even able to ask or think, according to that power that worketh within us, Lord. Now I pray that the mercy of God would be extended tonight, that Satan would be defeated and that the love of God would wrap up that brother and bring him forth for the glory of God. Lord, he’s had such a great burden on his heart to get this Message out to the people and Satan don’t like that. He’s worked untiringly and kept the young men together and I don’t believe anyone else could do it like he has. We pray, Lord, that you would break that chain tonight, give him victory, let his breathing become normal, Lord, let him defeat the devil for the glory of God. Lord, we’re depending upon You, we believe You, we’re trusting You. We ask these favors humbly in Jesus’ Name, the great Son of Man. Amen.

You may be seated.

It’s so good to be here tonight and to have this opportunity and privilege to trust a true and a living God. Amen. There is nothing hard for Him and we know that, just like I thought today, you know, after the ventilator got some problems with it and cut off and so I was coming on up the road and I got to thinking what Satan is trying to do; he’s trying to kill him. See? So, you know, it was hard to get the nurses in there and get them to understand what was taking place and he was going fast. So, we got back on the line again and like Brother Don has said over and over again, the Lord has raised him back up and stabilized him. And I don’t know what the doctors are trying to do, I don’t know if they’re trying to do anything or not. I know that some of the nurses are more conscientious, I believe, of what’s happening than the doctors are and they are really working hard. And I appreciate all the people here that has stood by Brother Tiny and Sister Juanita; you’ve really showed your love and appreciation to them and I know they  appreciate it, so, we thank you so much. We’re not giving up on Brother Tiny, we’re not believing that he won’t come out of it. We’re still believing that the Lord will raise him up and so I’m going to continue to believe that until we see something happen. Amen.

I was told today and I don’t guess Brother T.B. would mind me repeating this. Brother T.B is not much of a dreamer, like myself. I hardly ever dream; very seldom. Brother T.B said he had a dream last night, I believe it was last night, and he saw Brother Tiny sitting on the bed, sitting on the side of the bed. So, that’s a good sign. So, we’re... I don’t think anybody’s saw him dying or fading away; I haven’t heard any negative statements and I like that. So, we’re believing and we’re holding in there. It hurts us to go back there and see him laying there like that, you know that. It really tears our heart out. We just want to take him in our arms and say, “Come on Brother.  That thing that you preached about, that thing that you’ve talked about, it’s real.”I just want to get ahold of him so bad and you know, just bring him on up but the Lord Jesus will have to do that and through the working of the Holy Spirit that is still among the believers, it can be done. Amen. So you keep believing. We’ll get in the message tonight.

I pulled up the news for just a little bit, about five minutes. I didn’t have time to... I didn’t care anything about it anyway, I just thought I’d just look at it briefly and see what the weather said and I switched back on the news and saw about this earthquake. Did you see that? In Seattle, near Seattle, there, in the state of Washington and Oregon and about 6 1/2 or 7. That’s a pretty good shaking. I’m not going to take time to read it, I’ll put it out there on the board if you would like to look at it. Now, I really thought seriously and I did pray and ask the Lord if He would like for me to go another route tonight and talk about faith and things but every message is faith. All of the Word is faith and so I couldn’t get no liberty to break off from what we’re doing and so I’m going to continue on. We’ve gotten to the place now to where we’re going into the offerings. We’re not going to spend a lot of time on that but we notice that the first... If you’ll read the 29th Chapter of Exodus, you’ll find out that the first offering that was offered after Aaron was anointed was the bullock and that bullock was a sin offering. That first offering was a sin offering. And then, of course, you know, if you read and study what was did with the bullock, all the parts and everything, and how he was distributed, how that he was offered and so forth.

And then the next thing was two rams and those two rams, one of them was a burnt offering which is a sweet savor to the Lord. The scent that comes up from the burnt offerings is a sweet smell to the Lord. The second ram is what we want to dwell on tonight and that’s the ram of consecration. I want to read a few verses here. Well, I’ll actually read two verses of Scripture, 19 and 20; Verses 19 and 20, of the 29th Chapter of Exodus. We’re going to get in this a little bit tonight and just carry on and we’re going to... What we’re trying to do is to work into a place for Easter, if we can get there, you know, if we can get that far in the lessons. The way I see salvation, the way I understand what Brother Branham is telling us, what the Lord Jesus is telling us, what the Old Testament is telling us and bringing it all together, hoping that by Easter time we’ll be getting over there about the resurrection of the Lord. Now we’re talking about a sacrifice now, we’re talking about an offering.

AND THOU SHALT  TAKE THE OTHER RAM; AND AARON AND HIS SONS SHALL PUT THEIR HANDS UPON THE HEAD OF THE RAM.

Now, what is that for? Somebody tell me. To identify yourself with the sacrifice. See? To become one with the sacrifice; identify yourself with it. Alright.

THEN SHALT thOU KILL THE RAM, AND TAKE OF HIS BLOOD, AND PUT IT UPON THE TIP OF THE RIGHT EAR OF Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of HIS SONS, and upon the thumb of their right hand and upon the great toe of their right foot AND SPRINKLE THE BLOOD UPON THE ALTER ROUND ABOUT.

Now, if you’ll go to Leviticus, Chapter 8, of course, Verses 20-24, you’ll find out that that was carried out exactly like Moses commanded it to be carried out. Alright. So these were the last sacrifices that were coming up at this time and this ram, of course, as I said, was a consecrations. And if you’ll notice that word, we’ll give you some Scripture on it where it is not in the singular but it’s in the plural. It’s consecrations, not consecration. So we know that every word has a meaning so there is something to it. Now the word, in the plural here, is found in Exodus 29, Verses 22, 26, and 27. For it is a ram of consecrations, plural. The ram of Aaron’s consecrations. The ram of the consecrations. In Leviticus 8:22 and 29, and in Exodus 29:34 the word occurs as plural. Alright. So it is not in the singular when it’s speaking of the consecration. It is not consecration, it is consecrations. Amen.  And I know, if you’ve studied the message, you have heard Brother Branham talk about, so many times, how he would consecrate himself before a healing service and get himself ready, you know, for that service because it was a very needed thing and that was one of the signs, you know, of the Voice that was to come. That sign was that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He healed two thousand years ago then He’s the same healer today. He can do the same miraculous things today that He did two thousand years ago. Now some people say, “Well, the prophet’s gone and so we shouldn’t pray for the sick anymore.” I can’t find that in the Bible. If Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, then we have just as much right today, to believe Him for healing as we do for our salvation because it’s all in the atonement.

We have to fight the devil; naturally we do. Because when you see circumstances, like Brother Don talked about awhile ago, when you see circumstances that outweighs everything that a human mind could ever muster up to come against, then it’s going to take more than the human mind to come against it. It’s going to take real, genuine faith. That’s the revelation that God is doing something for Brother Tiny. So that’s what we’re praying, that this thing would work out and move on off the scene and Brother Tiny will get back on his job. He’s a very dedicated man to getting this Message out. We were just talking the other day, Sister Darlene and myself, and she made the remark, said, “I don’t believe there is anybody in the church...”  Said, “He’s just like Brother T.B. use to be before he got too old.” He don’t mind me saying that because I’m getting old too. But he got to where he couldn’t get around and do the things he did do. But he use to come to everybody’s house and do things. There’s not a one of you in here that Brother T.B hasn’t come to your house and tried to help you in some way or the other.

So, then Brother Tiny kind of took that up. He’s run when he didn’t feel like it. If he thought that you needed something he would go, he would do. He’s called me so many times and said, “Brother Holmes, do you need anything?” And out there on that land, he’d get out there and cut bushes and everything else so, I mean, he’s really a man that was dedicated to the service of the church here and of course, that’s the service of the Lord. And so, we miss him, naturally we do and we want to get him back in here. Like Brother Don said, we want to look up and see him walking back in here; believe that. Amen. So it may take some real dedication and consecration on our own part, you know. I’m talking about all of us. I mean, we might have a little weed growing here or a little thing growing there that we might need to weed out, you know, and make sure that the line is clear, there’s nothing on the line, see, and the communication line is open. Amen. And, so then you know that you can talk to Him and He’s listening.

So, we find out here, that, as they laid their hands upon this victim, this ram, immediately as they identified themselves with that ram, Moses killed the ram. And then he took the blood and he took a little part of the blood and put it on the right ear, the lobe of the ear, of Aaron and his sons, and then on his right thumb and on his big toe of the right foot. And there’s a reason for all of this so we are just going to look at it for a little bit and I’ve got a couple of quotes I want to read at the end of it. I’m mostly interested tonight and I’m always interested in getting the message over. I’m interested tonight in really getting in an attitude of prayer with God, getting into a place to where you can feel yourself moving into that area where God is. I mean, He makes Himself so real to you and then we know that He’s God. Alright.

AND MOSES TOOK OF THE BLOOD OF IT AND PUT IT UPON THE TIP OF AARON’S RIGHT EAR, AND UPON THE THUMB OF HIS RIGHT HAND AND UPON THE GREAT TOE OF HIS RIGHT FOOT.

And he also took it and put it upon Aaron’s sons the same way. Alright.  So, from this time on that he done this on his ear then that consecrated that hearing, dedicated that priest to only the will of God and he was only to do and to hear... He was only to hear the things that was to be said for him to carry out. See? In other words, he couldn’t listen to anything else; he had to listen only to the things that needed to be carried out in the office of the priest. And that’s exactly what it was all about. And then, of course, the believer of this present time is in the same situation in the spiritual sense. See? Our ear has been consecrated. And a lot of times we think, well, Satan will come along and he’ll come along with a little something here, Brother Don, and he’ll come along with a little something somewhere else and he’ll try to maybe try to water something down or he’ll say, “Now, this is not real for today. You know, you don’t need that for today.” But if that ear and that hearing is consecrated by the Holy Spirit then it can hear nothing but the Word of the Age. See? That’s all you can hear is the Word of the Age and you’ll act upon the Word of the Age. See? So that’s what we always want to remember is that these types are real and so it brings it down into our day.

And if you’ll notice, even in the death of Christ he refused to be intimidated by the devil. He refused to listen to the devil. They called Him Beelzebub, they called Him all kinds of names and He went right on. He didn’t fall into the temptations of the devil. He didn’t listen to the things that Satan had to say. And then coming down to the end of the road where He knew what He was here for, He knew that He was here to give His life and when they took Him in they said all kinds of things about Him. He never opened His mouth. They struck Him, they spit in His face, they pulled His beard, they put a crown of thorns on His head. He never one time riled up against them; not one time did He. Amen. And you know, sometimes we just can’t take a whole lot, can we? I mean, but really, the body of Christ has got to set that example out there before us and see what Jesus done and to make sure that we can do the same thing. We cannot give our life for the sake of the people but the thing that we can do is to be dumb before our shearers, you know. When they bring us up to kill our influence and all of that, let God take care of it; don’t worry about it. You know, you say, “Well, they’ll kill our influence and we won’t have this and we won’t have that.” God knows all about that so we don’t worry about that.

Somebody... All of the running around that people can do, you know, and tell all kinds of things about things that they don’t know about. Amen. And some people that sit right here in this assembly and they saw and heard the Word of God and they know it’s true and then they let Satan talk to them and made them turn against what they had heard. Amen. Well, I don’t care who it is, I don’t care how close kin they are to you or me, if they don’t accept the Message of the hour you can’t take them in, neither can I take them in. They’re going to have to accept the Message of the hour. Not in 50% of it, 70, 90, or 95 and 1/2 percent, they’ve got to accept the Message. They’ve got to accept the Message of the Hour and if they fail in one point they’re guilty of the whole thing. And so you can’t do that unless you are consecrated; unless you have gone through a consecration. And the only way you can do that is to yield yourself to God in perfect service to Him; perfect service  When you yield yourself to Him, of course, you are pulling yourself away from the world. You are pulling yourself away from the desires of the world. Amen.

When the thumb of the right hand was anointed that simply means that the right hand is the power of God, the right hand is the authority of God and the wisdom. The wisdom of God is in the right hand. I can prove it to you. I’ve got the Scriptures right here to prove it but I’m not going to read a lot tonight. I’m going to talk to you a little bit because I’ve read this so much, I’ve studied it so much until I can tell you what he said and I know what the Scripture said. That’s what I’m talking about; what the Scripture said about it. Now the right hand is where the authority is, that’s where the power is. We’re going to read a quote in a little bit to show you that. And then, on the great toe of the right foot they put blood. We must not go into places that we can’t take Jesus with us. We must not sit down and get involved in conversations that would grieve the Holy Spirit. Amen.

When we start talking about a dedicated, a consecrated life to God, then we’re talking about a real genuine Christian, one that has sold out to Christ. One that would rather walk with him than to have the wealth of this world. Amen. There is nothing in this world that can give you what God can give you. There is nothing in the world that can satisfy you like a real, genuine, Holy Ghost filling that makes you know when you get up in the morning that you are ready. When you go to bed at night, you’re ready. You don’t have to think, “Lord, if you come tonight will I miss it?” No, there is something in you that says you’re ready. So these three things actually were types that we are to carry out today.

And I’m going to move on as quick as I can because I don’t intend to bring out a lot of things. But even in our daily work, our occupation today, our jobs, our dealings with our business and whatever we are doing it must be dedicated to God’s service. See? Understand what I’m saying? If we are trying to build kingdoms in this world it won’t work. I’m not teaching against, you know, putting away something for tomorrow; I’m not doing that. But when there is such a pull, you know, for more, for more, for more, we need to search things out and see if God has made provisions for us and if we have what we need and then that’s all He promised. Is that right? He said that He would supply our needs. Amen.

So in this consecration we’ve got...  Now, I’ve got a bunch on this consecration. I mean, this is just the introduction of it. We’re just getting introduced to it tonight; this little subject. But we want to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Is that what the Bible said? Then the Scripture said all of these things will be added to us.

So we always want to make sure that whatever we do in daily life, you know in our business deals, we want to make sure that we don’t, for any reason, kindly shade something for our own benefit. Under no circumstances, under no circumstances. Like I use to tell a man one time that... He was kind of bad about going to the bank and telling them, you know, that he had this and he had that and borrow money and that he was making so much. Back then they didn’t check you out like they do now and they didn’t have the computers and all. Then he would wind up and he couldn’t pay it. I said, “Brother, how did you get that money?” He said, “Well,” he said, “I thought you know, that... I said, “Did you sign them papers that you were making so much and you were capable of making those payments when you knew you couldn’t do it?” See? When we go and make a business deal, when we make a business deal and we know in our heart that we can’t handle it, that’s a fraud. It’s absolutely a fraud and we must not do that. We must search those things out and see if we have the right, you know, stuff to handle what we sign for. You know, because when we sign on that line, brother, that’s an obligation. That is an obligation. So everything we do we must do it in an attitude toward our fellow man just like we would in the Kingdom of God, you know, doing things for Him because we don’t want to over-react on our feelings because we want something better. See? We must always live in our means and if we can do that then of course...

Brother Winston is not here and I can talk about him a little bit. I’ll tell you what, I’ve watched him since he’s been here. For prejudice reasons only, I believe with all of my heart, he was put out from Duke Power. I believe it was simply because they were prejudice. They didn’t want him in there so they began to dig up things and see if they could get shed of him and finally they did. Well, it cut his lifestyle. His lifesyle had to come down from where he was making a good living down to where he was just barely, just barely getting by. I’ve seen him drive an old car for years that many of you, right in here, wouldn’t even get out on the road with; you’d be afraid it would fall apart. And I have never one time heard the man complain. Not one time have I heard him complain about “I haven’t got this” or “I haven’t got that.” Amen. And I’ll tell you, it really thrills my heart to see somebody like that, you know. Like Paul said, “I have learned to be content in whatever state I’m in. You say, “Brother Holmes, what are you saying?” I’m talking about consecration. I’m talking about dedicating and consecrating your life to God. Amen. And He’s the author and the finisher of our eternal salvation. Amen. So we don’t never want to bypass any of his principals to try to make a showing to the world. Amen. Or the church. Amen. Don’t never try to make a showing; just be humble. That’s the thing.

So the main finger of your hand is what? The thumb. If you do away with the thumb you have a hard time doing anything with your hand, is that right? That’s right. I mean, it’s the main thing. Alright. And so the big toe is the main part of balance to your foot, the balance to your whole body. These things are put here for a purpose so that we can see what’s going on. Now, they had to also, this alter had to be sprinkled. I like this. Where our home, where we live, is suppose to be a sprinkled, spiritual house. You say, “Brother Holmes, that’s...” Yes it is. It’s suppose to be a place to where we don’t let our children bring junk in there, rap music, all that kind of stuff. If they won’t put it out, put them out. Don’t let it come in your house, it will ruin. In other words, you cannot have a dedicated house with that junk in there. You can’t. You say, “Well, that’s too hard!” Ok, it may be but we preached on that here awhile back and you know better. You know that when your children start listening... I don’t care... You say, “Well, they are children of their own; they are eighteen years old.” Do they still live in your house? Do they still set their feet under your table? If they do, get that junk out of there. Amen. Know what they bring in there. That stuff is rotten and it carries a spirit with it from the depths of hell. We know that. Amen. And so you can not have a consecrated, sprinkled, blood alter which is your home with that kind of junk in there. You can’t do it. You say, “Well, they’re not Christians anyway.” Well, then they have to respect my salvation. They have to respect what I believe. That’s my house. See? That ain’t their house. When they get their house they can do what they want to in there but they’re not going to do what they want to in my house; they’re going to do what I want to. Amen. That’s right. That’s right. I mean, hey, you say, “Oh, yeah, your talking, your talking. Well we’ve got things coming on, we’ll see.”  We’ll see, won’t we? I might hang around awhile. Amen.

I’m just... I’m not planning on going away tomorrow unless the climax of the rapture comes. If the Lord wants me, that’s fine but I want to tell you something. I think that we can get to the place to where we can be too slack in our home; we can be too slack. We don’t know what our children are doing. Amen. And so we need to set up a principle in our home and that should be according to the Word of God, according to the Word of God. So, I mean, I don’t believe that... I couldn’t tolerate that junk. I mean that rap stuff and running around and carrying on like that; it wouldn’t work. It won’t work in God’s plan. It just don’t work in God’s plan. Amen. And listen young people, it will drive you into insanity. It will throw you into a place to where Satan will have complete control of your life. That’s right. I want you to... And some of this so-called gospel stuff ain’t nothing but hell-raised stuff that they call rock gospel. It’s right out of the pits of hell and if you listen to it, you’re one of Satan’s children and you’re doing exactly what he want’s you to do. You hear me? And you can say it’s rock, you can say it’s sacred all you want to; it’s of the devil. It’s of the devil. Amen. They get all this... I’ve heard it. I heard some of it and I said, “They call that gospel?”  And you know, Satan knows how to move it in don’t he? But why do you want to listen to that? Why don’t you listen to the Old Rugged Cross? Amen. Some of these great songs that will fill your soul with something that’s real; dedicate your life and consecrate you. It’ll bring you into a place where you really want to express what Jesus is. Amen. Not what the devil is. Amen. We’re not here to try to identify ourselves with Satan, we’re here to identify ourselves with Christ. Amen. And you know, we don’t need no tags hanging on to us. That’s right. We’ve got to be clean; we’ve got to be pure. That’s right. Like I read that quote, you know, where Brother Branham said, “And all of this is holy, holy, holy.” What is holy? Clean, dedicated.  Amen. Now, I ‘m going to read some quotes tonight. I’ve got about enough time to read them. I’ve only got a few and I’ll call these quotes out and where they are. Brother Branham preached a message titled “Influence” in Chicago, Illinois, in 1963. And on that message, he said, “If the ministry...”  Now listen.

“IF THE MINISTRY COULD ONLY GET TO THAT PLACE, THE CONSECRATED TO THE SERVICE... IF MAN COULD REALIZE THAT PREACHING THE GOSPEL ISN’T TO GET MORE MEMBERS IN THE CHURCH, (That’s not what it’s for. Amen.) BUT IT’S CONSECRATION TO THE PUPROSE OF THE TASK, (Consecration to the purpose of the task.) THAT WE MUST HAVE NEWBORN BABES INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. NO MATTER WHAT DENOMINATION THEY GO TO, OR WHAT ABOUT IT, IT’S JUST TO GET THOSE NEWBORN BABIES.”

Get those newborn babies. Amen. You know that they can’t stay in that denominational system out there and you know that so many of the message churches have denominated around the Word. Brother Don was talking about it a little bit awhile ago; same thing I’m saying. Alright. Now watch.  Brother Branham preached the “Token” in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1963.

“SOME PEOPLE SAID, ‘WELL, I BELONG TO THE CHURCH. MOTHER WENT UP THERE AND I WAS DEDICATED THERE AS A BABY.’ BUT YOU MUST DISPLAY THE TOKEN. YES, SIR. MOVE OUT ALL THE WORLDY TRASH, (Move out all the worldly trash.) ALL THE THINGS OF THE WORLD, ‘CAUSE YOU CAN’T LOVE THE THINGS OF THE WORLD. ALL OF YOUR UNBELIEF IN GOD’S WORD.... REMEMBER, HE PROMISED THESE THINGS IN THE LAST DAYS. ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE THAT’S AGAINST THAT,...”

That’s against what? Against that Word. Anything in your life. Well, how do I know that there’s something in my life against the Word? By my actions. Right? By my actions, I know. See? Alright.

“...MOVE IT OUT, AND GET READY, AND BRING THE TOKEN IN. THEN APPLY THE TOKEN, IN PRAYER, WITH CONSECRATION, AND BE CONVINCED AND CONCERNED ABOUT IT.”

See? Be convinced and concerned. Don’t just go hap-hazardly along and say, “Well, I’ll wait until I get on the death bed and then I’ll straighten all these things out.” No, you won’t. See? No, you won’t do that. Today is the day of salvation. Amen.

IF ANY MAN HEAR MY VOICE, LET HIM HARDEN NOT HIS HEART...

See? Today, while we have time. Now, notice what he said about the right hand. In the Ephesian Church Age, that’s Page 79, Paragraph 2 in the Church Ages Book.

“THERE HE IS WITH THE SEVEN STARS IN HIS RIGHT HAND. THE RIGHT HAND OR ARM SIGNIFIES THE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF GOD. PSALMS 44:3, ‘FOR THEY GOT NOT THE LAND IN POSSESSION BY THEIR OWN SWORD, (Huh?) NEITHER DID THEIR OWN ARM SAVE THEM: BUT THY RIGHT HAND, AND THINE ARM, AND THE LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE, BECAUSE THOU HADST A FAVOUR UNTO THEM.’ IN THAT RIGHT HAND OF POWER ARE SEVEN STARS, (Watch this!) WHO, ACCORDING TO REVELATIONS 1:20, ARE THE SEVEN CHURCH MESSENGERS.  THIS SIGNIFIES THAT THE VERY POWER AND AUTHORITY OF GOD ARE BEHIND HIS MESSENGERS TO EVERY AGE. (See?) THEY GO FORTH IN THE FIRE AND POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST WITH THE WORD.”

What kind of Word. See, now what if Wesley had come along preaching Luther’s message? Do you think it would have had any results? Not at all, that message had already been brought. Then what was left over became carrion. You don’t bring it over. Amen. But a new message and a new land come. See? And then what if Pentecost had just continued to bring Wesley’s message? They would have never got the Spirit of God, they would have never got the gifts. They had to come into a higher order, see, because it was another age. See?

“THEY ARE THE STARS BECAUSE THEY REFLECT LIGHT. THE LIGHT THEY REFLECT IS HIS LIGHT. THEY HAVE NO LIGHT OF THEIR OWN.”

See? I mean, it don’t make any difference how much light we try to shine forth, it’s like fools gold. You know, it glitters much more than real gold but there’s nothing to it, see? And you know, I mean, like some people, they can get up a shout so fast it will make your head swim but when it comes to telling them what the Word says, then they back off and they say, “No, no.”  Like some of my sisters stuck their fingers in my face and said, “You’re grieving the Holy Ghost.” I said, “The Word of God don’t grieve the Word.”  I said, “The Holy Ghost is the life of the Word.” I said, “Sis, tell me something.” They’re dead and gone now. I said, “When you get there, how many are you going to see?” Two of them said, “Three!” I said, “You are worst then an infidel.” I said, “Which one is your God, which one are you serving, which one do you pray to?” Is not Jesus Christ the manifestation of God?  Isn’t the Holy Ghost the life of God? Isn’t it the same God? Not three persons; three manifestations of the same person. Amen. So you see, it’s all in how you look at it and it’s a revelation. ...See, His light, they have no light of their own.

“THEY KINDLE NOT THEIR OWN FIRES THAT MEN MAY WALK IN THE LIGHT OF THEIR SPARKS...”

Do you remember me bringing this out here recently on a message?  Alright.

“...ISAIAH 50:11 (I read that.) “IT IS NIGHT, (see) FOR THAT’S WHEN THE STARS COME OUT. IT IS THE NIGHT OF THE BLACKNESS OF SIN, EVEN THE WHOLE WORLD HAVE SINNED AND ARE CONSTANTLY FALLING SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. ROMANS 3:23.”

We know that Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.” Alright, now I’m going to turn the page back. I should have told you that I was going to turn the page. Sister Darlene, she follows along with me on these quotes and then she gives the quotes to somebody to take and put in the book, you know when you print them. Alright. But now, we want to look back here now to a separation. This consecration calls for a separation. See? You cannot be consecrated and still be mingled and mixed with the things of the world. You can’t do it; it won’t work. Let’s see what Brother Branham said about that. On “Total Separation From Unbelief” in Phoenix in 1964.

“PAUL WAS A NAZARITE UNTO THE LORD. HE WAS SEPARATED FROM HIS ORTHODOX CHURCH, TO THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD.”

He was separated from his orthodox church and they were... What was their charge that Jesus brought against them? Wasn’t it because that they had made the traditions, I mean, they had begun to make the traditions the Word of God and the Lord brought that against them. It’s not traditions. So Paul had to separate himself from all of his traditions, from all of his ritual ideas, theological training, and mind-sweeping knowledge and take it out on the desert. It took him three years to get it out of him. But he stayed there until it got out. Amen. And when he came back, he preached Christ, the one that he once destroyed. The one that he was once against, that’s what he was preaching. So, he was a Nazarite unto the Lord. He was separated from his orthodox church, to the Word of the living God.

“AARON WAS A NAZARITE UNTO THE LORD. HE WAS SEPARATED FROM AMONG THE BRETHREN TO BEAR THE BIRTHSTONES AND TO BE THE HIGH PRIEST.”

Now, there’s something I’d like to say here. Brother Branham... And some of you that’s got, I think you probably have the quotes, you are going to use them and I didn’t read this quote. But Brother Branham got to talking about the three Hebrew children. He got to talking about the priesthood of Christ and he said, “Now here He is there up here, and he’s the Priest.” And he said, “These three Hebrew children down here, they are fixing to be thrown into the fire.” And said, “One of the angels came over like maybe Michael and said “Lord, don’t you know what’s fixing to happen to them boys? Just give me the word and I’ll go down and I’ll wipe them out; I’ll save them.” Michael is a warrior. Amen. And so then Jesus said, “No that’s alright.” The high priest. “I’ve got everything in control, everything in control.” Alright, so then here He came, you know, and they brought them on down to the fire.  Amen. And Brother Branham said Jesus just called for a little thundercloud, crawled on it. He didn’t trust Michael with it, He didn’t trust Gabriel with it, He didn’t trust wormwood, He wouldn’t trust none of them. It was something He had to do himself. Amen. And when the old king came down, you know he said... He looked in and he said, “How many did you put in there?”  They said, “Three.” He said, “But I see four and that fourth one looks like the Son of God.” Amen. So there’s some things that angels don’t do; He does it Himself. Amen. And that’s what He had to come and give His life for, see, that we might have life and have it more abundantly. But we do have to separate ourself to the Word of God to the age. Alright.

“IT’S A TOTAL SEPARATION. WE’RE NOT to GO BACK INTO THE WORLD NO MORE OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE WORLD, (See?) BUT CLEAVE ONLY UNTO GOD. JESUS IS COMING AFTER A BRIDE, A WOMAN, A CHURCH, THAT’S SEPARATED FROM THE THINGS OF THE WORLD OR THE CARES OF THE WORLD...”

What are the cares of the world? See? I mean, if you’re not careful... This is something, what we’re talking about tonight. Brother Kenan, it’s something that money won’t buy. I started to get in my van up there today coming out from the hospital and something, it was a folded up thing that looked like a dollar bill. It looked just like a dollar bill. In fact, on the front side was printed a dollar bill but it was smaller than the original dollar bill so I reached down and picked it up and I looked at it. I got in the car and I told Darlene, I said, “That’s a fake dollar.” So she turned it over and started reading and it was a message on the other side “What Money Won’t Buy.” Amen. A good little message; what money won’t buy. And I thought, “Now they put that there on purpose so somebody would pick it up.” That’s right. So the things that people are trying to get, peace and all of these things with their money, it won’t do it. No, it won’t do that. Money won’t buy these things that we’ve got. Alright. Watch now.

“...SHE’S SEPARATED ONLY TO GOD, AND GOD IS THE WORD. AND AS HUSBAND AND WIFE IS ONE, SO DOES THE BRIDE AND THE WORD BECOME ONE, FOR THE WORD iS LIVING THROUGH THE BRIDE. (Amen.) ...THAT’S HER CREDENTIALS. THAT’S HER IDENTIFICATION.”

It’s the Word, alright?

“BUT WHEN A MAN IS BORN IN THE WORLD A BELIEVER, HE BECOMES A NAZARITE WHEN HE SEPARATES HIMSELF FROM ANYTHING THAT’S CONTRARY TO THE WORD, A TOTAL SEPARATION. JESUS SAID, ‘I COME TO SEPARATE A MAN FROM HIS WIFE, (hmm) TEAR UP A FAMILY...’ (Now remember, this is the prophet saying this, not Brother Holmes. Of course, I agree with him. Alright.) ‘...HE THAT WON’T TAKE UP HIS CROSS AND FOLLOW ME IS NOT WORTHY TO BE CALLED MINE.’ A SEPARATION FROM EVERYTHING, ANYTHING: FROM CHURCH, FROM A COMMUNITY, FROM A BELIEF, OR FROM FAMILY, OR ANYTHING THAT WOULD STAND BETWEEN YOU AND BELIEVING THE ENTIRE WORD OF GOD...”

Anything that would stand between you believing the entire Word of God. See?

“...IF YOUR SOUL WILL NOT PUNCTUATE EVERY PROMISE FOR THIS HOUR WITH AN ‘AMEN,’ (then) THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG SOMEWHERE. YOU NEED A SEPARATION.”

See. Alright. What are we talking about? Consecration. You are going to have to separate yourself. See? We separate ourself for something greater.  Like I told you many times, if you are going to take a knife away from your little boy because you are afraid he’s going to get cut, give him something that he likes better. See? So, I mean, the Lord Jesus, if He takes the world away from us He’s actually going to give us something ten thousand times better than the world. Amen. So we don’t have to indulge out there around the world to find this happiness and this peace. We don’t have to look for these painted fires and... Might as well say it, you know. We don’t have to go around and look for these worldly things and worldly people and get around and set around and talk about these girls and how they twist themselves.

Young people, do you here me? Have you ever done that? Do you ever look at them in that way? Do you ever talk about them in that way? I’m talking to you. What if it closed out tonight. What if the curtain dropped tonight, huh? What do you think about it? What do you think about them stripteasers out there? What do you think about them pants so tight you could crack a tick on them? What do you think about this worldly stuff these girls wear out there, huh? Does it look good to you? If it does, you need another dip at Calvary, see? It don’t look good, it looks nasty, it looks filthy. To a saint of God it don’t look good. And to see them so skinned down until you know, you can see their underclothes through their outer garment. I mean, young boys, do you get a kick out of that? Do you go around to the malls and look and slop on that kind of stuff? Huh? Older people too. Huh? Does your eye touch it. Does it catch you?

He’s talking about a separation from all of these things; all of them. You know, those things that are out there on the street, it ought not to be permitted. You know that. It ought not to be permitted and fifty years ago it wouldn’t be; they’d put them in the insane asylum somewhere. But now they can go out there any way they want to. Alright. You know what I’m talking about. Alright. But what Brother Branham is talking about here is a complete, thoroughly...

“SO JESUS WAS THE WORD MADE FLESH, AND HE WAS COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM SINNERS, UNBELIEVERS, THAT THE WORD ITSELF FLOWED COMPLETELY, AND - AND THOROUGHLY THROUGH HIM, THAT HE SAID, ‘I DO NOTHING UNTIL I SEE THE FATHER DO IT FIRST.’ THEY WAS ASKING, QUESTIONING HIM ABOUT THINGS. HE SAID, ‘VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, THE SON CAN DO NOTHING IN HIMSELF, BUT WHAT HE SEES THE FATHER DOING.’ AND WATCH, EVERYTHING THAT HE SAID WAS PERFECT...”

Now, what did He tell us? What did He tell his disciples? Whatever He told his disciples, I believe He’s telling us. Is that right? Because it was in the Word. He said, “Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Is that what He said? “Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Our thoughts, our desires, are suppose to be centered upon the Word.

“...WHAT HE SEES THE FATHER DOING... HE HAD NOT TO ASK ABOUT IT, THINK ABOUT IT; IT WAS PERFECT. AND HIS PERFECT TRUTH ALWAYS SEPARATED THE TRUTH FROM ERROR.”

His perfect Truth always separated the truth from error. May God bless you tonight and this little thought... I mean, now this is just starting this consecration. There’s so much in here and we’ll hit on it and you’ll see some of the things and we’ll take our time see, and go in there and take these quotes and take the ... We may not read all of the quotes but we’ll paraphrase some of them and then we’ll give you the quotes where you can read them. See? Because it’s there and so what we need to do is to understand that we are not called to uncleaness but we are called to holiness. See? We’re not called to something of the world but we’re called out of the world into Christ. Amen. And Christ is the anointed Word so when we get in there, where are we? We are sitting in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Don’t you love him?

Come on Sister.

I appreciate Him. I do love Him. I took a little bit of liberty here but, you know, you can’t get it all said. I wanted to cut it down and I tried to. I guess if I’d have took the full time it’d probably been another hour of it at least. But you know, just talking on these things and reading the Scriptures backs up what we have outlined here and the quotes. We’ve just got a few quotes. I just ran a few quotes off to back up a few things that I’m talking about. A consecration is something that separates. It separates a person. It causes a dedication, it causes an identification. See? To be consecrated to God means to be separated from the world. See? Separated from the things of the world. Amen. And we’re walking in the light; that’s what we want to do. Let us stand. “We’ll Walk In The Light”. Alright.

The congregation sings “We’ll Walk In The Light”.

We’ll sing that one more time and we’re going to ask Brother Kenan to come and in this last prayer, we want it to be a prayer of concert. He’ll lead us but we want everyone of us to pray with one thing in mind: Lord, we are asking you humbly and under Your subjection to bring Brother Tiny out of that hospital. Amen. I don’t believe that that’s too hard for God to do and I want us to really just talk to the Lord and tell Him. Just give Him your heart. If there’s something in your life that you feel like that, you know, you need to talk to Him about say, “Lord...”

As I talked to the man today that’s dying. They only give him... I went in and prayed for him a couple of nights ago and he prayed with me. I told him, I said, “You need to pray with me you know.  Talk to the Lord.” So, the family came over today and they wanted me to go back in there and pray for him again and they only give him forty-eight hours to live. Of course, it’s very doubtful that he’ll make it that forty-eight hours but the last time I went and prayed for him he didn’t have...He wasn’t on the respirator, on the ventilator but then when I went in today he was on the ventilator. Of course, he’s in the last moments, but yet he recognized me. He recognized me and I told him, I said, “Now,” I said, “I came in the other night and prayed for you, prayed with you.” I said, “I asked you to pray with me.” I said, “Now I’m asking you...” I said, “You can’t talk.” I said, “We don’t want you to try to talk.” But I said, “In your heart, in your mind, you can talk to God.” And I said, “I want you to talk to him and surrender your life to Him and tell Him.” I said, “This life is full of cruelty, it’s full of sin, it’s full of sickness, just like your laying here, and death.” I said, “But the place that you can go, if you’ll just surrender all to Jesus now, the place that you are about to enter into, there won’t be none of that. There won’t be no more cancers; there won’t be no more. He’s swollen up. He looks like a frog in there, you know, about to burst, you know, with cancer.

I poured out my heart in his behalf and I could see him trying to talk; I believe he was praying, I believe he was praying. And so these things touch us. These things, when you go up there and you look around and you see and then think about how fortunate, how blessed we are. You know? And then walk in there and see Brother Tiny in the shape he’s in. It’s a trick of the devil. Amen. And let’s just believe that God will grant to Brother Tiny healing virtue, amen, and he’ll come out of this. Brother Kenan. Let’s sing that one more time, “We’ll Walk In The Light”. Sometimes we get in too big of a hurry and we miss something sometimes by doing that. Amen. We need to wait upon the Lord. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like an eagle. They shall run and not me weary and walk and not faint.” Amen. They that do what? Wait upon the Lord. Amen. Wait upon Him. Alright, let’s just sing that little song one more time, “We’ll walk in the Light.”

Congregation sings “We’ll Walk In The Light.”

I’m going to do something tonight I’ve never done, I guess, in the church, here. How many of you tonight... I know all of you are concerned about Brother Tiny but how many of you would like to walk down here to the altar and take a few steps in his behalf? And let’s come down and stand together. What happened after Peter and John was delivered from prison? They all assembled together and what took place? The Scripture says that the whole place where they were standing was shaken. Amen. And they where all filled with the Holy Ghost and they’d already received the Holy Ghost; they were filled again. Amen. The whole church is coming; the whole church is in harmony. Amen. We want to see him.Where there is harmony, where there is fellowship, where there is oneness, Satan’s got to go. Amen. We believe. Brother Kenan, lead us in prayer.

Brother Kenan prays and congregation sings “Tell Me What Kind of Man Jesus Is.”

Praise the Lord! Do you know that He’s the same today, He’s the same right now? You know what happened one time when there was a prayer meeting going on and old Peter was in four quaternions of soldiers bound. Do you know what took place? An angel came down and went through those doors and smote old Peter on the side and said, “Peter, rise and put your sandals on, we’ve got to get out of here.” Amen. He rose and never even woke those four quaternions of soldiers, never even disturbed them. Went out past the first gate, the second gate. Amen. It was such a great miracle. They were going to kill him the next morning.

It was such a great miracle that happened, Brother Kenan. The first place he went was down where the prayer meeting was going on and he knocked on the door. Amen. Oh, my! He’s still God! He’s still God! We limit Him sometimes but He’s still God! Amen. That little damsel, she couldn’t believe her eyes. She could not believe what she seen. She looked and she ran back in there and she said, “They’ve already killed him!” Said, “His spirit has come to meet with us.” Amen. He kept on knocking. See? Sometimes we ask the Lord to do something and then when he does it we wonder, you know, if it’s real or not. But He’s real; He’s real children. Amen. Don’t you love Him? Don’t you appreciate Him? I’m so thankful I know that He can do anything. Amen. I’ve seen miracle after miracle and obstacles don’t mean nothing. He’s God and He can go right through all of it. May the Lord bless you tonight and let’s go away from here believing that He’s heard, that He’s heard and answered our prayers. Let’s not waiver, let’s not doubt, let’s not look at circumstance, let’s believe that God has heard. Amen, and He’s God. Amen. Let’s bow our heads.

Brother Holmes dismisses in prayer.

Listed below are the Scripture and Quotes that were taken from the Message of our Prophet for the basis of this sermon.

EXODUS 29:20 - Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

79-2 EPHESIAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.3
There He is with the seven stars in His right hand. The right hand or arm signifies the power and authority of God. Psalms 44:3, “For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but Thy right hand, and Thine arm, and the light of Thy countenance, because Thou hadst a favour unto them.” In that right hand of power are seven stars, who, according to Revelation 1:20, are the seven church messengers. This signifies that the very power and authority of God are behind His messengers to every age. They go forth in the fire and power of the Holy Ghost with the Word. They are stars because they reflect light. The light they reflect is His light. They have no light of their own. They kindle not their own fires that men may walk in the light of their sparks. Isaiah 50:11. It is night, for that is when the stars come out. It is the night of the blackness of sin, for all (even the whole world), have sinned and are constantly falling short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23.

TOTAL.SEPARATION.FROM.UNBELIEF  PHOENIX.AZ  V-3 N-20  TUESDAY  64-0121
30 - Paul was a Nazarite unto the Lord. He was separated from his orthodox church, to the Word of the living God.

Aaron was a Nazarite unto the Lord. He was separated from among the brethren to bear the birthstones and to be the high priest.

It is a total separation. We're not to go back into the world no more or have anything to do with the world, but cleave only unto God. Jesus is coming after a Bride, a Woman, a Church that's separated from the things of the world or the cares of the world. She's separated from the fashions of this modern age that we live in. She’s separated from the--the cares and the traditions of churches. She’s separated only to God, and God is the Word. And as husband and wife is one, so does the Bride and the Word become One, for the Word's living through the Bride. That's how--that's her credentials. That's her identification

59 - But when a man is borned in the world for a--a believer, he becomes a Nazarite when he separates himself from anything that's contrary to the Word: a total separation. Jesus said, “I come to separate a man from his wife, tear up a family. And he that won't take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy to be called Mine.” A separation from everything, anything: from church, from--from a community, from a belief, or from family, or anything that would stand between you and believing the entire Word of God. If your soul will not punctuate every promise for this hour with an “amen,” there’s something wrong somewhere. You need a separation.

60 - So Jesus was the Word made flesh, and He was completely separated from sinners, unbelievers, that the Word Itself flowed completely, and--and thoroughly flew through Him, that He said, "I do nothing until I see the Father do it first.” They was asking, questioning Him about things. He said, “Verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing.” And watch, everything that He said was perfect. Just, He had not to ask about it, think about it; it was perfect. And His perfect Truth always separated the Truth from error.
