Death and Life Chapter 14 - Part 2
Congregation sings
“Only Believe”.
Let’s bow our heads.
Precious Father, it’s
such a privilege and such an honor to be here this morning, and to see these
precious people Lord, that have come out through the rain. Lord they’ve come out
to hear from You. We appreciate the service this far and the things that weheard
and the songs Lord. Just sitting back there rejoicing in these things. We know
Lord that these people love You. Satan’s tried to get in among us with sickness
and suffering and we know that he’s tried to have a field day kicking up his
heels. We believe Lord that he’s coming to a halt. We know that he’s already
conquered by the blood of Jesus Christ. We pray this morning Lord that every
heart and every soul that’s here will put forth a great effort to exercise faith
like we never have before. Not only for Brother Tiny but for our own spiritual
life and our own integrity for You, Lord, knowing that nothing will change after
death. Ever how we are when that last breath leaves our body, that’s the way
we’ll rise over there. We know that we have to be ready here, Lord, in order to
be ready over there. We pray that every need will be met this morning,
spiritually, physically and otherwise, in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of
Man. Amen.
You may be seated.
Good to be here, and
I was sitting back there enjoying these songs and good things that’s been said.
Brother Don, I appreciate him. He let’s me know that I don’t have to be in no
hurry, and I believe that. I believe that you people come here to worship God. I
believe you come to hear the Word and I don’t believe that you get in no hurry.
I know, you know, when we said we would have one service on Sunday, of course we
told you that we... Now I don’t know that you... Those of you who have never
ministered, are not called to minister, you don’t know the pressure that’s put
on you when you are dealing with certain things. Anytime you’re dealing with the
Word you’re dealing with life and death, because, actually, people are going to
hold on to It for dear life. Then, if people refuse It, of course then it’s
death. That’s what the subject is before us this morning. It’s set before us,
life or death. Brother Branham made it clear that his Message, the Message that
come through the prophet, the last-day prophet, was to the total lost and for
the Bride. And we know that that’s absolutely the truth.
I’d like to say along
with Brother Don, we do appreciate everything that the people have done in
behalf of Brother Tiny, Sister Juanita and the family. I was glad to see them
get him transferred. I felt like they harmed him up here after they got him in
intensive care there and the things that they did there, I’ve never been too
much for Catawba hospital; the staff there. I don’t like to put people down and
I’m not trying to put them down, but I just don’t have no confidence in them
because I’ve seen too many things happen there. Somebody asked me why I go to
Frye. I’ve got more confidence in them up there than I have in Catawba.
Everybody to their own opinion, but when you see a few cases, you know, and know
what’s happened, then you know... I wouldn’t want one of my family to be in up
there and go through something like Brother Tiny went through.
I’ll say this.
Brother Don didn’t say this because he wasn’t there when the nurse was telling
us. The nurse came in and told Sister Juanita and myself that night, the first
night that he was there, after they finally got him settled down and everything.
They had did some tests and they found that the little blood vessels, which is
hundreds and hundreds of them, you know, going in to the vital organs of your
body, like your liver and your kidneys, and your lungs and so forth. These
little blood vessels, your body is full of them. What they did here at Catawba,
they paralyzed Brother Tiny’s muscles and nerves. It was an open thing, they
told us they did. They were concerned about his throat because they paralyzed
the muscles there, you know, and they were concerned about whether his vocal
cords were going to be damaged permanently and so forth. But they weren’t
looking for him to live, so they just knocked him out of it and was going to let
him lay there and die after awhile. But this nurse said that due to that long
period of time that his muscles and his nerves and so forth had been relaxed and
paralyzed to that extent that these blood vessels were relaxed. And when they
relax they dilate. It’s like a hose, if you’ve got a nozzle on the end of a hose
and you tighten it up the more you tighten it up the more pressure you’ve got.
And when you take all the pressure off it just drops off the end of the hose,
see. You don’t have any pressure. Not having pressure, the blood vessels
dilating. Not having any pressure to push this into the vital organs, it caused
them to shut down. We wondered why they kept shutting down. But they were not
getting the blood in there. With the pressure it was just kind of dribbling in
there, and it wasn’t doing the job that it was supposed to do.
The first thing they
did was to take him off of all of that and try to bring him out of it and wake
him up and get these blood vessels operating again so they can start putting the
blood in these organs so it can kind of revive them back and bring them back to
life again. They are doing a great job up there. Of course we know that the Lord
is greater than any doctor. Of course, those doctors up there, they don’t mind
talking to you about the Lord. They tell you, you know. And that nurse, he was a
male nurse there. On Friday before we came home we went in there to see Brother
Tiny and he told Sister Juanita and myself, he said, “You know he’s a very sick
man.” And he said, “You understand that it could go either way.” He said, “Only
thing I can tell you is, do a lot of praying. Do a lot of praying because he’s
going to need it.” We said, “Well, that’s what we’re doing. We’re believing
God.” We’re still believing and we’re still accepting that the Lord knows
exactly what He’s doing.
Like I told Sister
Juanita... Don’t none of you ever, I don’t care who goes up there, I don’t care
who goes in there to see him, you must not one time, under no circumstances,
give any negative thought or speech to Sister Juanita. You must not do it. I
don’t care if you go in there and his heart is stopping, you must not give a
negative feeling in any way to her because she is standing there and believing
and so are we, and if you’re negative about it don’t go. I’m telling you the
truth. If you’re negative about the situation don’t go, if you feel like, you
know, that you can’t be of a positive attitude because Sister Darlene and
myself, we sit right there from the time they transferred him on up until late
Friday evening, and we talked about nothing but positive talk. That’s all we’d
talk and that’s what she wants to hear. She likes to talk positive and we’re
believing that. And we’re believing that the Lord knows exactly what He’s doing.
Sometimes He let’s us get down to where, you know, there is no hope but God and
then He can bring it on out. Alright.
So now, this morning
you know that and I appreciate Brother Don taking that opportunity to tell you
and bring you up to date on these things. I’m going to tell you something now. I
know you understand that Brother Don just got back from India. He left his
business to go to India, and then he come back and then this happened. He hasn’t
had really an opportunity to get everything back together again and operating
like it should be. Now he’s took off from his business again for this, so I want
you to understand that he needs strength too. Be praying for him because, what
he’s done, I couldn’t do it, see. I couldn’t do all of this. He has organized a
group to sit with Sister Juanita, the people that has been fixing the meals and
helping out there. It’s took so much off of me and I appreciate it. And I
appreciate every one of your prayers and I want you to understand that there has
been a great sacrifice. Brother Don is never going to say nothing about it, you
know that. But he has sacrificed time from his job, time from his business to
make sure... He was one of the main ones, he and Brother Chris, that got things
to moving to get him transferred. And so we appreciate that and we feel like
we’re doing everything that we can to benefit Brother Tiny and now it’s in the
hands of God. He’s the big wheel. He’s the big wheel. (Brother Don acknowledges
to Brother Holmes of the sisters who organized the meals.) Yes it is. Alright.
Sister Inez and Sister Katrina took that responsibility. Everything’s been going
along so good and we appreciate it so much. It’s been an unusual thing, the last
three and a half weeks, it’s been an unusual thing. Just like awhile ago, little
Sister Jeanette here, Satan attacked her body. It seems like Satan is trying to
get in everywhere he can, you see. We want to give him two black eyes this
morning. Amen. Let’s just not black one of them, let’s just black both of them,
amen, and put him out of commission for a little while around here. Amen. I love
the Lord, don’t you?
Alright, now I’m
going to tell you when I’m going to start. I’m fixing to start at five minutes
after eleven and I’m not going to tell you when I’m going to stop. Like old
Brother Sydney Jackson, (they used to say about him, I never heard him say that,
but they used to say that) he would tell them, “I got a lot of hay to get in the
barn.” They said he never did get in a hurry. When he got to preaching, you
know... I met Brother Sydney Jackson one time and he was from South Africa. He
was the one that kind of doubted the Church Ages book because it was written by
Lee Vayle. One day they were on a hunting trip, Brother Branham and Brother
Sydney Jackson. Of course, you know, the prophet knows the heart. Brother Sydney
said he turned around and looked him right straight in the eye, he said,
“Brother Jackson, that’s my book.” He said, “That settled it. That settled it.”
He knew then that it wasn’t Lee Vayle’s book even though Lee Vayle grammarized
it. Lee Vayle did not put his thoughts in there. That’s Brother Branham’s
thoughts. Amen. That’s the Message. Alright.
So now, I want to
call your attention this morning back to the 29th Chapter of Exodus. I guess
what we have been looking at is types and bringing them on over into this day
and I believe that you’re understanding that we are not trying to go back and
live the Old Testament. But what we’re trying to do is to express our feelings
about how we see the plan of God and how we see it operating through the
rituals, the offerings, the sacrifices, the lambs, the rams, the oxen. Whatever
was sacrificed, everything was types and shadows of things that was to come in
reality. And if you’ll notice, in these messages now, we are using a bunch of
Scriptures. We’re not just using Scripture in the Old Testament.
This morning we’ll be
dealing with the inside of the “Ram of Consecration”, we’ll be dealing with the
inside of that. And there’s two thoughts that we want to be emphatic about this
morning. That is that no one can look at you from the outward appearance; from
the outside, I’m talking about. They cannot look at you from the outside and see
how spiritual you are on the inside. See? Nobody can see where you stand with
God on the inside. See? They can only see the outside. Of course the outside is
supposed to express what’s inside. But what I’m saying they can’t tell how
healthy you are, how spiritual you are, see, on the inside, (alright), by
looking at you from the outside. And then another thing that we want to be
emphatic about is that, the part of the liver that is the gall, (where the
bitterness is), it gathers all of that stuff from the body, (the poison and
everything), and that thing has to function right. So what we want to be
emphatic about is the fact that we must have the inside of the inside fixed. We
must be borned again. We must have all bitterness, malice, hatred, envy out of
our heart. Amen. Those are two things that we want to be real emphatic about in
this lesson this morning. We have the quotes laying there. We will not give you
the quotes until we finish this part of the “Ram of Consecrations”. Then we’ll
give you the quotes. And we decided that at the end of each one of these
subtopics we will add the quotes, unless I read a quote right in the message. If
I read a quote in the Message, of course put it in there where I read it, but if
I don’t then make a note that these are the quotes that Brother Holmes has
gathered the thoughts and so forth from, for these messages. Alright.
Now I want to begin
reading,I believe it is, about the 22nd Verse of the 29th Chapter. Verse 22.
Also
thou shalt take of the ram the fat and the rump, and the fat that covereth the
inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is
upon them, and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration:
And
one loaf of bread, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer out of the basket
of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD:
Now how many
different pieces of bread did He take? Three, wasn’t it? Three. Alright. Watch
now.
And
thou shalt put all in the hands of Aaron, and in the hands of his sons; and
shalt wave them for a wave offering before the LORD.
And
thou shalt receive them of their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a
burnt offering, for a sweet saviour before the LORD: it is an offering made by
fire unto the LORD.
And
thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s consecration, and wave it for
a wave offering before the LORD: and it shall be thy part.
Whose part? Moses.
That was for Moses, the breast. Alright.
And
thou shalt sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the
heave offering, which is waved, and which is heaved up, of the ram of the
consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his
sons:
And
it shall be Aaron's and his sons’ by a statute for ever from the children of
Israel: for it is an heave offering: and it shall be an heave offering from the
children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave
offering unto the LORD.
I won’t be getting
into the heave offerings this morning but I will be getting down to (hopefully,
between now and two o'clock), we’ll be trying to get down to the breast, the
part of Moses’ that was given to him. I want you to notice, first of all, that
there were seven potions of that ram, seven parts of the ram that we spoke of
this morning. There was the fat, just simply the fat. And the rump. That’s two.
And all of the fat that was upon the inwards. That’s three. The caul above the
liver, and the two kidneys and their fat. See? And the right shoulder. Now you
say, “Well what does the fat typify?” It typifies the healthiness of the animal,
see? Actually it showed that that animal was not lean, he was healthy. He was a
beautiful type for a sacrifice, perfect sacrifice. Everything had to be perfect.
Alright.
Then when we look at
these things and we think about it, we wonder why all of this was done so
precisely. And then we begin to see what it means and what it’s pointing to then
it’s not hard for us to understand why it was done. These three parts of the fat
were taken and all of this, actually, as I said, it was proving the healthiness
of the animals which his inwards parts you can’t see. See? We need to always
make sure that we are healthy spiritually. And I’ll guarantee if you’re healthy
spiritually it’ll show on the outside. It’ll always show on the outside. So then
no human eye can see it though. Brother Branham said, “You don’t know me,” he
said, “you know the house that I live in.” But he said, “You’ve never seen me.
You can shake hands with the house that I live in but you can’t shake hands with
me because I live in this house.” See, that’s what Brother Branham said.
So this figure, of
course, actually, is proving the devotedness, I believe, of Christ... In other words, all
of His inward parts, everything that Christ was, everything thatHe ever was He
devoted that to the Father. The Father, of course, offered it as a sacrifice.
See? He offered everything He was. Every part of Him, everything that He was of
this sacrifice. That’s the reason that we find in the Psalms... And you notice
how many times I’m going back to the Psalms? You notice that? Because I’ve
studied the Psalms for years, ever since I was a little boy. In the Psalms
there’s so many outstanding prophecies in there. You say, “Well he wasn’t a
prophet.” The Bible said he was. The Scripture said he was a prophet. But you
know people say, “Well look at the mistakes he made.” Well somehow or another
God didn’t see that. Isn’t that strange?
If a person makes a
mistake today they’ll bear that to their grave. It’ll never be forgiven them.
You understand? Even though they didn’t make a mistake, maybe somebody thought
they made a mistake, and they put in their minds that they made a mistake and so
they’ll keep that in their minds and in their hearts, and of course, until the
day of judgement. And then it might come up that it wasn’t really a mistake.
Really it wasn’t wrong. Really God did ordain things like that. See? Amen.
Alright. Now watch this.
I
delight to do thy will, O my God:...
Who said that? The
Psalms. Watch.
...yea,
thy law is within my heart.
(Thy law is within my heart.)
Now that’s the 40th
Psalms, the 8th Verse. Remember me reading it back, I guess, over a week ago,
somewhere back there, maybe two weeks ago? I took that verse and I’ve referred
to that verse in most every message that I’ve brought, referred to that 8th
Verse in the 40th Psalms. Alright.
And then we see that
this inner life of this sacrifice had to stand out. All of the fullness of the
dedicated life to God that Jesus was, it had to manifest itself as a true
sacrifice without spot or blemish or any such thing. See? So He had to climax
this by hanging on the cross. That’s actually where the whole thing was sealed,
right there, when He hung on the cross. “He was obedient,: the Scripture says,
“unto death, even the death of the cross.” Is that right? So when we look back
and we see the life and the ways that the Lord humbled Himself, He being God...
(Was He?) Yet He become so small until He become a blood cell in the womb of a
woman, amen, to provide a body for the fullness of God to dwell in. And that’s
exactly what the Scripture says. All the fullness of God dwelled in Him. The
fullness of the Godhead bodily dwelled in Him. Alright. So He humbled Himself,
and, of course, He dedicated His whole life and His one goal, His one goal... If
you study the life of Jesus, you’ll see that His one single goal was to do the
will of the Father that had sent Him. Is that right? He said “I do always the
things that My Father show Me.” See? And He did not do anything that was outside
of that. He was here to glorify the Father. That’s what He was here for. Then,
in turn, the Father glorified the Son. Alright. His only motive and His whole
hearts desire was to actually put on display what the Father’s mind and thoughts
was. Amen! If we are real genuine Christians, our whole hearts desire is to put
on display actually what Christ is. See? In other words we have to do that. It’s
got to come through our life and our life must be dedicated. We’re talking about
consecration. Our life must be dedicated to Him before we can do that, before we
can ever put it on display. At the command of the Father Jesus was ready to act.
Whatever He said he was ready.
Search
me, oh God, and know my heart.
(The
Psalms 139:23.)
Try me and know my thoughts
Search
me, oh God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts
And
see if there be any wicked way in me,...
See? Try me Lord and
search my integrity, search my life, search my thoughts. You’re no better than
your thoughts. See? Alright. So be sure that our thoughts are always capable of
standing in the presence of God, see. That’s right. You see what I mean?
Alright. So now there was no thought in Him, Jesus, that would grieve the
Father. Now the Scripture talks to us about grieving the Holy Ghost. Brother
Branham took that to lengths and he said when we do certain things it grieves
the Holy Ghost away from us. You remember that. Alright. And so we have to be
sure that our response to every situation is that that would be pleasing in the
sight of our husband, the Word. Huh? Who is your husband? The Word. That’s
absolutely the fact. If you were born by the Word, then of course, you are a
child of the Word and then by Jesus Christ being the Word, then the Father gave
Him a wife before the foundation of the world. And then, of course, that’s a
part of Him. That’s the Word. That’s a part of the Word. This is what the Father
said about the Son, and this is what the Son must be able to say about the
Bride, His wife.
...My
beloved Son in whom I am well pleased...
Brother Branham said
that translation is, “...in whom I am pleased to dwell in”. See? And so then
when it comes down to the church, then he says all that was in Christ, he poured
into the church. So I’m sure that the head would say, “it’s the one that I am
pleased to dwell in. I am pleased to dwell in this Elect Lady.” Amen. My Elect,
in whom My soul delighteth. See? My Elect, in whom My soul delighteth. I delight
in that. Amen. I believe the Bride would have to have a pure consecrated motive
toward the Word of God. She could never try to study the Word to try to get
around something, but to study the Word to apply it to your life. A lot of times
people, if they’re not careful, especially around the Message, they will begin
to start running quotes, running quotes to try to prove somebody wrong. That is
absolutely an error, we should never do that. We should never study quotes to
try to prove somebody wrong. We should study quotes to apply it to our life, to
make us an example that other people could see Christ in our life! Amen! Not to
try to convince them by letter, but convince them by the leadership of the Holy
Spirit! That’s the only way you’ll ever convince. You’re not going to fuss with
somebody and argue with somebody and convince them. Convince them with your
life. Amen. That’s what Jesus did. “I do always those things that please Him.”
Amen! Oh my!
Where was that? I
believe that was in St. John 8. You know, if you read that, that whole chapter,
it really is good. Every once in a while, in every message, I’ll usually give
you either a message to look at or either I’ll give you a passage of Scripture.
So take that 8th Chapter of St. John and read it and look at it and study it
read good. It is a great portion of what I see this morning, what we’re talking
about. Alright. It’s so perfect and so sinless and unswerving against any
situation and complete obedience. That’s what He was. That’s what our sacrifice
was to His Father. Then it takes the inside of the inside being recreated to
perform these things. You can be an imposter, you can say it because somebody
else said it, you can witness to what somebody else said, but what we need this
morning is to be a true witness. Something that we have heard and it has taken
tole over our life to the extent that it has become a part of us. And then when
it becomes a part of us we can express it without any fear because it is what we
are. See? It is what we are. I have no fear in telling people I’m Charlie
Holmes. Why? Because that’s what I am. See? So when that reality of the reality
comes inside, the inside of the inside begins to bubble up.
Then it’s just like
Brother Branham said about the little spring that he went down to and he’d get
water out of it. He said, I might say to that spring, “Little spring do you do
that when I come by, just bubble up because you want to give me a good drink?”He
would say, “No”. “Well, do you do that to water the deer and the things that
come by?” It would say,‘No, that’s not why.” “But why do you do it?” Brother
Branham said, “Because it is activated by something that is bubbling up.”
Bubbling constantly, itthe nature. It’s the nature of that spring to bubble up
like that. It’s the nature of the borned-again child of God to be a true witness
to what they are, amen, and not deviate from one day to the next. Amen. But we
are what our Father says we are. Amen.
Notice this “caul”
and I got to looking this up to see, actually, what it meant. You don’t see this
word much. How many of you know that was that little slant-eyed fellow by the
name of Bud, that was his last name? It was spelled the same way. “C-a-u-l
C-a-u-l, Caul”. Now if you look up the pronunciation of it it’s spelled
“K-a-u-l”, Kaul. This is a part of what we would say, “a midriff”, something
that’s up front, I guess. Is that what that means? “Midriff”. Am I pronouncing
that right? I looked it up and it’s something that’s up front. It’s like your
outer clothes or something that you have on. It’s right up front. This was
something that was over the liver, like a membrane or something like that,
diaphragm. I’m trying to explain it the way that I see it. It was a part of the
breathing apparatus, actually, the taking in of the breath. I’m sure all of you
understand there is a membrane over the child, the fetus in the mother’s womb.
You know that. It’s a protection for that baby. See, that protection, and
sometimes the baby is born with that still on his head. See? They have to take
that off, you know. It’s a protection, that’s what it is. Now they’ve took this
thing, this caul, which was actually above the liver... You say, “Well, what in
the world does that have to do...?” Alright. It has a lot to do with the liver,
and the liver is one of the most vital functions of your body, because when it
quits functioning then the poison goes everywhere, you know. It’s got to
function to collect that poison that’s in there. Probably the best translation
for it would probably be, “diaphragm”, which actually, was a part of the
breathing apparatus.
You say, “Well, we’re
not concerned about all of that.” Well I am, because I studied it and I’m
concerned about it. Something that was above the liver, see, and it was upon the
liver. If you want to read these places where it was mentioned, then it must be
pretty important. I’ll give you the Scriptures here if you want to set them
down. Exodus 29:13, Leviticus 3:4,10,15, Leviticus 4:9, Leviticus 7:4, Leviticus
9:10. Above... That’s what it means. Leviticus 8:16-25. We could go on, there’s
more Scriptures, but just bringing some of them in, in the Old Testament, to
show that these things were important.
This organ, actually,
was a part of the victim’s breathing, of this ram, which was a consecration ram.
It was a part of his breathing. The reason I’m saying this is because the gall
is in that liver. Alright. So now the gall is bitter. Right? So that part of
that had to be offered. There can’t be no bitterness, see? Brother Don was
talking about the doctors talking about the lungs putting out this fluid and
secreting it through the mouth. I’ve been in to see Brother Tiny up there and
I’ve not seen any bubbling in his mouth since he’s been up there. While he was
up there, you know, you saw it running all over his face and everything else.
They didn’t take care of him. You say, “Why are you saying this?” Listen. This
gall is bitterness, is actually what it is. All of it... (blank space on tape).
...How borned-again
he is. It’s the natural inclination. He’s inclined by nature to strike back. The
hardest problem that you’ll ever have in your Christian experience is to kill
yourself. That’s the biggest job that you have, is to die! Amen. Because as long
as you are alive you’re going to strike. You’re going to show a little bit of
independent feeling and resentment to correction and things that, you know,
don’t go exactly like you want it to go. See? This is what we’ve got to get shed
of. You know. We have got to die to our own reasoning. We don’t have to fight
for ourselves. We don’t have to feel bad at somebody because they talk about us.
We don’t have to strike back at them and say, “I’m going to get even with you.”
See? We don’t have to do that. Let God take care of it. “Vengeance is Mine, I
will repay,” saith the Lord.” Amen. So that inside of the inside is what is
suppose to control that outside. A lot of times we say, “Well, I’ll do this if
you’ll do that. Lord I’ll serve You if You’ll do this.” Forget it! He don’t have
to do nothing, amen, but keep His Word! That’s the only thing He has to do, He
must keep His Word. Amen. So when you hear somebody saying, “Well, I’ll tell you
right now, if I have to do that. (and I’ve heard it), I’ll just go to hell.”
That’s exactly what you’ll do. You can depend on that. Amen.
You know we’re
suppose to be the wife of the Word and the wife is suppose to be under
subjection to the husband. And if she isn’t under subjection to the husband she
ain’t going nowhere with God. Not nowhere! She’s not going to make first base.
Amen. Thatright. Now you can rebel against him and tell him what he’s got to do
and what you’re going to do if he don’t do this and that. You can do that, and
he can’t help that. He can’t help it because in this country where we live the
law will say you’re right. But God said you’re wrong! God said you’re wrong when
you refuse your husband. Amen. If you’re not sick and your husband wants to make
love to you (and this is plain), and you refuse him, you are nowhere with God!
That’s right. Because that gives him an absolute reason to go get him another
one. Amen. And he has that right, but you don’t. That’s right. Amen.
It was proven in the
book of Esther. Queen Vashti. She was a beautiful little thing and that king
loved her. He wanted to show her off, you know, so he called her out; and that
rebellious woman spirit, she rebelled. Don’t you touch me, I’m not fooling with
you. Look out! He don’t have to live with you. See, I’m talking business. I’m
talking reality. Amen. So what did these leaders come around and tell the king?
“Are you going to let her by with that. Don’t you know these other women will
act the same way? Straighten her out! Put her away!” Huh?
Oh, we get by with
too much. You shouldn’t get by. We don’t get by with refusing the Word of God
because He is our husband. We don’t get by with that. And you don’t get by when
you refuse your husband. Amen. No sir, you don’t get by. Now listen, if this
shoe fits you this morning you’d better do something about it. You’d better
start shaping up and start treating that man like he’s your head, like he owns
you. You definitely don’t own him but he owns you. You’re his property. Amen. I
don’t know why that come but it’s there, so I guess it might be needed. Maybe it
didn’t. Maybe the Lord wanted it for somewhere else out there. But you know. You
know. Amen.
Alright, now watch.
Let’s us look now and get back to the lesson this morning. Watch. In the
anti-type of the whole power of the inner life, every breath that was drawn
comes from God. Right? Every breath that you draw comes from God. And then, of
course, every breath that Jesus Christ breathes come from God. He was a man.
See? And yet there was no gall or bitterness found in Him. None. And no envy or
malice. See, His inward feelings was the feelings that the Father had. See?
Amen. Alright. So the inward feelings of the elect lady this morning is suppose
to be the same feelings that Christ had when He was going toward the cross. It’s
suppose to be the same feelings. Amen. If someone crosses you, if someone tries
to pick a fuss with you, it takes two to argue. Amen. If we can ever learn. If
you have to bite your tongue a few times. If you have to say “Lord, let that
part of me die that’s trying to rise up. Let me be quiet! Let me hold my peace!”
Amen. Because the argument don’t do nothing but create more problems. More
problems. Amen. So you see, we don’t want to get into those things. We want to
make sure that we have that inside of the inside so dedicated that the outside
comes under subjection. Amen.
Now we can find all
kind of excuses. But you know, I like that what I was relating back there awhile
ago about Bud, you know. Bud Caul, the little slant-eyed guy. After he had
broken down and said he couldn’t go no further, he wanted this Jesus that
Brother Branham was presenting. He still smoked. He hadn’t got converted real
good, but he was on his road to it. Brother Branham loved that man. So he got up
early one morning and they was out camping and hunting. Down in the camp he got
up early one morning and he took off down through there and he thought he’d
sneak one and the prophet wouldn’t know nothing about it. So he went off down
there and smoked a cigarette. He come back up and Brother Branham was inside the
tent or whatever they were living in there, and he said, “Say Bud.” He said
“Yeah Brother Branham.” He said, “Did you ever smoke?” He said, “Yes sir.” He
said, “When did you quit?” He said, “Just now.” Just now. So you see, when you’re
called on the scene by the Word, that ought to be enough. But some people keep
right on and on rebelling against it. I’m pretty sure that was the last one for
him. I don’t think he wanted any more after that because the prophet went right
with him down there while he was smoking that cigarette. So we want to get all
of this out, of this bitterness and all of these feelings that we have and
everything and make sure that our calling and election is sure. Then we can pray
for other people that despitefully use you and persecute you, see. You can pray
for them then. Alright.
The two other
portions that we want to look at was the rump and the two kidneys. Like I said,
I tried to look up these you know. You’ve got them on your computer and you can
do the same thing. You can look them up in Strong’s Concordance; different
places. You can look up and see what the meanings of these words are and see if
I’m right on it. The rump and the two kidneys, they were selected as a part of
this special consecration. The special consecration. They were selected. So then
when we translate the kidneys it runs into reins, r-e-i-n-s, like having the
reins of the horses. Or having the reins of the heart. See? It runs into that.
So what God is doing now, He’s showing an example here, and a type, and He’s
trying the reins of the heart, see? In Psalms 8. Now if you want to read this,
and you can put these scriptures down. You can read where it talks about the
reins. In Psalms 7, Verse 9, Jeremiah 11, Verse 20, Jeremiah 17, Verse 10,
Jeremiah 20, Verse 12. He searches the inward part, the motive. He searches the
secret affections. Amen.
Now you know and I
know that everybody is not as affectionate as other people. Some people are not
affectionate. In other words, you know, their nature, their makeup isn’t like
that. See, you might see a couple, you know, and you might see the man hanging
onto the woman all the time; the woman just not exactly as affectionate as he
is. Then you might see it vice-versa, the woman hanging onto the man and the man
not quite as affectionate as the woman. But anyway, they’re not suppose to
resent one another, you see what I’m saying? In this affection that we have
inside, this inside affection that we have, all of us are suppose to be in love
with our Husband. We’re the feminine part so we’re to be in love. He is to hold
the reins. Is that right?
You can’t jump in
your car and take off when you want to and come back when you want to. He’s
suppose to know about it. You can’t just decide that you’re going to do this and
you’re going to do that and not discuss it with your husband. See, if we think
that we’re going to serve God and don’t get it straightened out in the natural,
we not going to do it. The things that He’s called for in the natural that types
the spiritual, we’ve got to do that. We’ve got to come to it. Amen. So don’t
just feel like, “Well, I’ll do it if I want to.” Huh? What are you saying
Brother Holmes? He’s got the reins! Christ, the Word, the anointed Word of this
day has the reins over our life. When you’ve got the reins, you can make the
horse go where you want him to go, not where he wants to go. See? Paul said the
things that I would, then I don’t, you see. All of these things, you know. He’s
got the reins. Amen. Alright.
So we know that He
searches our inward motives. We have to have a motive for things that we carry
out. I believe with all of my heart, and you know it to be the truth, that our
Lord Jesus, at any time, at any moment, could have, at the desire of the Father,
stood before Him in judgement and His thoughts and His motives and His
affections would have been absolutely perfect. Would have been perfect. Amen.
That’s right. You say, “But He was God.” Well, what are we? A part of Him? Huh?
What’s this hand? A part of me? What controls this hand? Is it the head? Does
the head control this hand? Amen. What are you? A part of the Body? What is the
Head? Christ, the Word? Then does He control us? And if He doesn’t we’re none of
His. You say, “That’s getting strong Brother Holmes.” It’s a fact, it’s a fact.
I mean “Hey, He holds the reins. He holds the reins.” Amen. Alright. So He could
say at anytime. “Father judge me”. Well what is He going to find? Because He has
walked in the integrity that was inside of Him. See? I’ve trusted also in the
Lord. See? I have trusted.
Judge
me, oh Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: (Amen.) I
have trusted also in the Lord; ...I shall not slide.
Examine
me, oh Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Where did you find
that? Believe it or not, it’s in Psalms, the 26th Chapter, amen, Verses 1 and 2.
See, He could claim that integrity that could stand before the Father at
anytime. The Bride can claim that integrity that can stand before the Word at
anytime, and say, “Search me, try my reins. Amen. If there’s anything that I’m
not doing that I’m suppose to do, Lord, it’s because I have not seen it yet. And
if You’ll show me I’ll do that.” Amen. Amen.
It gets real close
don’t it? It really gets close. It’s that close. It’s that real. It’s that real.
Alright, now. So we know now that this word... Integrity; that’s the closest
thing... Did you know what? That’s the closest thing in translation to
perfection that you can get. It’s like the Thumim. How many of you remember what
we said the Thumim was? Perfection, wasn’t it? Perfection. Why was the Thumim
perfection? Because of the breastplate with all the stones upon it. See?
Reminding God all the time, this is Your heritage. This belongs to You. Amen.
See? Try my integrity, see. And it’s suppose to be perfect. It’s suppose to be
right; the thoughts and everything are suppose to be right. Amen. Alright. So
then we find that this, of course, is an uprightness before God, actually.
I
shall not slide. (See?) I
shall not slide.
Backslide. You know,
go back away from the Word. Grieve the Holy Spirit. Fail to do something I’m
suppose to do. His trust was constantly in God. I’m talking about the Lord
Jesus. His feet was established. His mind was made up. When He went to
Gethsemane He said, “Father, if it be Thy will, let this cup pass from Me.
Nevertheless, not My will, but Thine be done.” Amen. Not my will, but Thine be
done. It’s got to be a constant realization. We’ve got to realize constantly
that it must never be our will unless it’s His will. See? We’ve got to believe
that His will is the only way. Amen. That’s right. So now this wonderful
perfection that we’re talking about here... There’s a lot of things that I could
say on this and I’m going to skip a little bit right here now and move down a
little bit farther. But now when the inward will, when our inward will and
strength comes up with the Word, then the outer man automatically carries it
out. Right? He automatically carries that out as the Son of Man did. He answered
absolutely, completely with His mind, soul and body to the counseling of God.
Amen. When God counseled Him, He... obedient, obedient, obedient. Every bit of
it.
Alright. So now we
come down to the right shoulder. So the right shoulder was a completion of this
ram of consecrations. Of course, we know that the right shoulder expresses the
strength, right? And patience. And I’m sure that’s what we all could stand just
a little bit more of. Before you get that patience you going to get a little
more of tribulation. Amen. Because if you like patience, you going to keep
getting tribulations until you get enough patience to overcome them. Amen. Is
that right? Is that Scripture? So if we need patience we’ve got to have
tribulation in order to teach us patience. We’ve got to learn how to be patient
even in tribulation. Even in tribulation we’ve got to learn how to be patient.
So this right shoulder of the ram, like I said, expressing the power and also
patiently enduring whatever had to be laid upon Him. See? Whatever the load is,
we’ve got to carry it. Amen. Why? Because He’s already carried it for us, but
sometimes we have to be tested to see if we’re willing. To see, “Are you willing
to do this?” Amen.
Look at Job. He
hadn’t done anything, but he was tested and went through all of those things to
prove to the devil that he would stand for God through it all. So sometimes we
have to have a strong shoulder. See? And the strength that Jesus had was more
than capable of taking every one of our burdens if we learn how to take them to
Him. See? Sometimes we struggle and struggle and struggle and struggle with
something and then finally at the end we’ll come down and say, “Lord, I’ve done
everything I can do and I can’t do no more.” Well, you know, He was there all
the time. Is that what that song says? “He was there all the time.” Amen. He was
waiting. The Scripture says, “You have not because you ask not.” He was waiting
for you to ask Him. See? If we ask Him, believing, what’s suppose to happen? The
Scripture says then we’ll receive it, see. The effectual, fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much.
Jesus knew what it
was to take the stripes that was put upon Him, and when He hung on the cross
until that last stripe... Brother Branham said that He was beaten so, (I just
read that this week when I was studying the sufferings of our Lord), he said
that He was beaten so until His ribs protruded out through the skin of His back.
Broken, sticking out, and He still took that cross and went up the hill. What
was it that He had done that He deserved that? He didn’t only bear our sins, but
He become our sins. He had to become us in identification. Just like Adam we
were all identified in the fall. See? Even though we were not literally there.
See? But we were identified in the fall. So now we’ve got to have somebody that
will let us be identified in the return. See? And He’s the only one that could
do it. Amen. And He could take us, amen, and carry our burdens and carry our
sins. And when He
was bruised and beaten to the place that God was pleased and satisfied
with the sufferings of the sin of Adam, then He let him bow His head and say,
“It is finished.” Not before.
Listen. That was one
day that it become black as night in the middle of the day. Amen. When God
couldn’t look at the last stroke; the last stroke He could not look at it. He
blacked out the sun and turned His face when He heard the cry, “My God, my God
why hast Thou forsaken Me?” What have I done? It wasn’t what He done, it’s what
we done. It was our sins that placed Him there. It was Adam’s race that put Him
there. Amen. After it was completely satisfied with God that He had taken every
stroke and bore every stripe that He was to bear, then He yielded up the Ghost,
amen, and not before. Amen. It was completed then. It was completed. The plan of
salvation was completed then. The victim had suffered. The victim had suffered.
The price for sin had been paid. Not the sins that He had done, but the price of
the sins of His Elect had been paid and He could never see one wrong that they
ever done.
If we are really and
truly the Elect Lady... I trust that everyone of you here is a part of that and
I’m going to tell you something, when He bowed His head on that cross and said,
“It is finished”, there would never be another way that God could see sin in His
Bride. She never did sin. She never did disbelieve God’s Word. Amen. She had not
yet been born. The seed was there, Brother Gerald, but it had not been birthed.
See? So whatever happened, it wasn’t to the Seed of God. It wasn’t to the
thought of God. It wasn’t to the mind of God. It wasn’t laid there, couldn’t be.
She never sinned. She never did, see. But because of what Adam did back there,
it brought about a new birth, that we have to have a new birth. We were born in
sin. See? We were shapened in iniquity and in sin did our mother conceive us. So
what He had to do was pay that penalty. Until that price was paid we were
sinners because we under the curse!
But when that price
was paid that chain was broken; we were liberated. We were set free. And it was
just a matter of time then that the Holy Spirit would come and claim that seed.
Like the Holy Spirit came to Mary and said, “You are blessed among women. You’ve
been chosen for a special thing. Amen. You’re going to have a baby.” She said,
“I don’t understand that.” See? Nicodemus said, “I can’t understand that.” Huh?
See, this is a much more greater miracle because scientifically medical science
can prove, exactly, everything that happens by a couple that comes together and
produces a baby. They can show you every move of it. They know exactly how it
happens. But this one, they know nothing about. Amen. This is the mystery. This
is the miracle. This is the great mystery. Amen. That new birth. That new birth.
Amen.
So that’s exactly
what we have to have. Now listen, you may not believe this, but the counsels of
God, whoever He’s counsels with, (We don’t know, it’s none of our business.),
but He counseled all of these things that happened to Jesus before there was
ever a molecule or star or anything. All of the things... You read the 2nd
Chapter of Acts and see if that’s not true. Peter said that it was already
foreordained that these things would be happening, but you took Him by your
wicked hands and you crucified Him. Why? That the counsel of God might be
fulfilled. See? That it might happen the way He saw it, exactly the way He saw
it. Amen. So you know it was all in the counsel of God.
Now let me get to
something here now that I want you to look at. When that happened that give us
away into the holiest of holies, is that right? When He bowed His head and said
“It is finished.” And Brother Branham said just a stone throw from there there
was some great event took place in the temple. What was it? The veil was rent.
The veil was rent. Amen. Oh my. It was torn apart. The showbread didn’t mean
anything anymore. All of these types and things that we’re talking about didn’t
mean nothing. It had all been fulfilled in one man. Amen. All of it had been
fulfilled on Calvary. Now the time had come when a man could go into the holiest
of holies. Go into the glory of God, move into the glorious things that the Lord
has provided for us. Notice we could not get in there before.
I want you to notice
then the next thing that Moses took after all of these things had happened then
Moses took the basket of consecrations. That’s what it was called. A basket of
consecrations. I’ve got it in the Scriptures here in a little bit. Alright, and
this basket of consecrations in there was three different pieces of bread. Three
different pieces. Alright. Number one. All of it was unleavened. Every bit of it
was unleavened, but there was three sorts of it. Unleavened cakes, number one.
Then one unleavened cake mingled with oil; anointed. And then one wafer
unleavened anointed with oil. These are the three. Leaven is always sin. We know
that that is always typified as sin and it actually breeds corruption in the
human race. Of course, influences, influences. See, this leaven, actually, is a
strong influence. This sin of unbelief is a strong influence. A strong
influence. Like... Satan wouldn’t go over there to the bar room and try to get
that old fellow over there that’s drinking his beer and all and he’s having a
good time. He’s not going to go over there and say, “Now why don’t you go over
here to this fellow that believes the Message and tell him that Brother Branham
didn’t mean what he said on “Marriage and Divorce”. He wouldn’t tell that fellow
that. But he’d come over there to some preacher that has not yet been borned
again by the Word of this age. You hear me. They have not yet been borned again
by the Word of this age. I’m not saying they don’t have a birth, I’m saying that
by the Word of this age they have not been birth. If they were they would be the
Word of this age.
I’m Charlie Holmes
because I was birthed of Charlie and Lela Holmes. If I’m birthed of the Word of
this age, the Message of this age, I am that. I can’t deny who I am. Amen. I
can’t deny it. See so he would come over there and he’d say, “Now, you tell them
people...”, you know. And I’ll tell you what, you might get a lot from over here
at this church, and you might get some from this church. All you’ve got to do is
just, you know, explain this away a little bit. You’ve got a right. You’ve got
quotes. You can do it. Amen. So you see where he works? Alright. But then that’s
the secret workings. It’s a deceitful thing. Brother Branham said this is the
most deceitful age that’s ever been. It’s in the quotes that will come at the
end of this message. It’s in the quotes. Alright.
Now I’m not going to
read them. I’m not going to finish this today. What I’ve got to go through this
morning, I’m still not going to get through with this. There’ll be maybe,
another couple more on this one, the consecrated ram. See, the ram of
consecration. No leaven, no leaven could ever be offered as a burnt offering. It
could not be nothing offered in there with any leaven in it at all, because God
could not accept a sacrifice that was not perfect. He was a type of Jesus
Christ. He could have never accepted anything. And these three aspects of Christ
here, actually as the Bread of life, are all presented to us in these three
portions. It’s selected from the basket of unleavened bread, which is the basket
of consecrations. The basket of consecrations. See? The purity, the unleavened
cakes. Alright.
Now. You say, “Well,
what does that mean? Watch. First of all, Christ, at His birth, was full of the
Holy Ghost. We know that. He had to be. Then because He was God. Brother Branham
said, “Little Jehovah being born out there in a stable.” Huh? Is that right?
Little Jehovah being born out there in the stables. Certainly He was. Then, of
course, it was mingled with oil when He was anointed with Holy Ghost for the
service that He was put here to do. And then thirdly the power to defeat the
devil. Actually three phases.
Listen, I studied
this. I studied it brother, and I prayed. I said, “Lord, let me see if He did
that as God or if He did it as man! He defeated the devil as a man without any
help from God! As a man He defeated the devil, just like Adam bowed to the devil
as a man! Jesus had to defeat him on His own grounds as a man, determined to
bring back what had been lost. Amen. Yes sir. Absolutely! He defeated the devil.
He conquered him. He conquered him. Amen. He has no more hold on us. He is a
squatter on the land. So we don’t want to ever forget that. Amen. Alright.
I’m trying to move
on. I know I’m talking a lot this morning but I’m talking because it’s on my
heart. He that eateth Me, even he shall live by Me. This is that bread which
came down from heaven. He that eateth of this bread shall live forever. Of
course, if you read that chapter that we gave you you’ll find these things. Now
this is in close connection with His death, see, that He is speaking of this
bread. He’s speaking of the sacrifice. You could not eat of that bread until
after the sacrifice. After the sacrifice was offered. After the sacrifice was
offered, then Moses took the three pieces of bread. See? After the sacrifice was
offered and the consecration had taken place, then that’s when the eating of the
bread come, see.
No feeding of Christ,
no way that we could do that unless it would be a close connection with His
death. You cannot, under no circumstance, under no circumstance can you be a
Christian this morning, until you first see that you were in Christ and that you
died in Him. That when He died, you died. You’ve got to see that. You’ve got to
see that when He went to hell, you went to hell, because you were condemned to
hell. So He took all of it on Himself, your sins and He carried you to the cross
in His mind. He carried you to hell and He liberated them that were in hell and
come out. Amen. You’ve got to be identified. I’ve got something on that. It’s
coming later, somewhere around Easter, to be identified with Him. There’s a lot
of it. Amen. Alright. You’ve heard Brother Branham talk about it.
Now watch this. Then
after He took these loaves, these three pieces of bread, then He put them in the
hands of the priest and his sons. Oh. That ought to tell us something right
there. This, of course, was proving that the ram of consecration had died. ...Is
the filling of the hand. The filling of the hand is actually; Moses put these
unleavened cakes on the fat, which was on the altar, on the fat and on the right
shoulder and put all of it in the hands, upon his sons, in their hands and waved
them for a wave offering before the Lord. That’s Verses 26 and 27. And here we
have, actually before us now what explains the consecrations. In the Hebrew
literally it means “fillings”. “Fillings” is what it means. If we’re to be
consecrated we’ve got to be filled. Wegot to be filled with something. Actually,
not our hands but inside. We’ve got to be filled before we can be consecrated.
I want to give you
those Scriptures that I told you I’d give you. I’m moving on and I’m trying to
get through here. The ram of consecrations. All of this is in the plural. Exodus
29:22, 26, and 27. Leviticus 8, Verses 22 and 29. Then we have spoken of, the
flesh of consecrations. That’s in Exodus 29:34. And then we have spoken of the
basket of consecrations. That’s Levitucus 8, Verse 31. Then we have the days of
consecrations. That’s in Leviticus 8, Verse 33. Then we have consecrations for a
sweet saviour. Leviticus 8:28. All of this is recorded in the Bible.
Aaron’s hands and his
sons’ hands were filled with the parts of the ram. You get this? Our hearts has
got to be filled with the Word. Amen. It’s not hard to talk about what you are,
is it? It’s really not hard to talk about, in reality, what you are. It’s not
hard to talk about this Message if you are that Message, see. You’ve got to be
what you’re talking about. You can’t talk about it because Brother David told
you about it. That’s alright. But you can say, “Brother David said, ‘it’s like
this.’” But for you to be real in your testimony, it’s got to be coming from
you, not from Brother David. See? It’s got to come from you and the only way
that that can be is for that to be in you. Amen. It’s got to be in you, not on
you, in you. You’ve got to have that in you. Amen. You’ve got to have that
sacrifice that died for you, living in you because He raised from the dead. The
spirit that was in Him will also quicken our mortal bodies. Is that what Paul
said in Romans? Alright. That’s exactly right. Alright.
Now our own
guiltiness, then, is gone. See? There is no more guilt. It’s like the price has
been paid. Listen. There is a peace that comes over a person when they’re borned
again that never leaves them. It never, because when the Holy Ghost comes inside
of you He will never leave you. He never comes inside of you to take His flight
and go somewhere else. Amen. When you grieve the Holy Ghost away, it’s because
He is around you, see, not in you. But when He is in you, you won’t grieve Him.
Amen. When you are borned again by the Spirit of God, you won’t grieve that
Spirit that you’re birthed by because you’re a part of that, see.
Well. Then the priest
was to wave their hands that was filled as a wave offering before God. Amen.
They had their hands full of all of this and they were waving it before God.
See? They were... like calling attention, Everything You said, Jehovah, we done
it.” That’s what I like about the Token. When Brother Branham brought the
“Token”, he said, “You’ve got to bring the token with your prayer.” See? You can
pray day and night, week after week, but you’ve got a way to approach God. Bring
the token. Amen. Is that what he said. Bring the token and present that and say
“Lord, You gave it to me, it’s a gift.” That’s right. “I’m presenting that and
I’m claiming this promise because You said that You would do it.” Amen.
So we see what we
have to do. His eyes, then, is invited to search our lives. Everyone of us this
morning, sitting in these pews, and me standing behind this sacred desk, we have
a challenge this morning to say, “Jehovah, search our lives. Search us. Search
our reins. Search our thoughts. See if they’re consecrated. See if they are
dedicated. See if our life is under control of the Master.” Or do we just want
to be saved because we don’t want to go to hell? Or do we really want to be a
witness, a real genuine witness. See, they were identified with Him and became
one. In other words, when they took that in their hands, the priests and the
sons, they identified themselves with what? You remember back a couple of
services ago, maybe last Wednesday night, when I said, “When they killed the ram
what did they do? They put their hands on the head of that ram.” They put their
hands on the head of that ram. What for? To identify themselves in that death.
See? They had to be identified in that death. Now that they have been identified
in that death, now they come back holding the evidence. Oh my! They come back
with the evidence that they have died with the sacrifice and they’ve got the
evidence and they’re waving it before God and saying, “Look here Jehovah. We
have identified ourselves with this ram of consecrations. We’ve got the evidence
here. This is it.” Amen. Oh my! You talking about getting out of here! When we
get to the place to where we want to wave every thought, everything, every bit
of our life before God and say, “Lord search me. Search me. See that there is no
thought in me that’s not presentable before You.” We’re getting out of here
then. Amen. You say, “Will it happen?” Oh yes. See, now you watch.
I like this in 1st
John. I think I’m going to turn over here and read it. In 1st John the 1st
Chapter, the 3 Verses, that’s what I want to read. Something that was in their
hands. Huh? Something that was in their hands. They held it. Look at this.
That
which was from the beginning...,
Which was where? From
the beginning.
...which
we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and
our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
(For
the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto
you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
How was it
manifested? Through the sons. Alright. So now that we have handled Him, we have
looked at Him. Our eyes have seen Him, John said. And now this is our eternal
life.
That
which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have
fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his
Son Jesus Christ.
You say, “Well
Brother Holmes you read that the other day.” I sure did. I know that. I just
want to let it anchor in a little better. And think about it. There they hold
it, the sacrifice. Amen. Evidence. Have we got the evidence? It’s not speaking
in tongues. It’s not dancing in the spirit. No sir. It’s not casting out devils.
Uh-uh. It’s not doing the many miracles. No. But what is it? It’s the
manifestation of the Word of eternal life. Exactly what he said. That’s what
John said it was. Alright. So we see that. Alright. So they were identified with
that. Alright.
Now, the priest now
had been cleansed. They had actually atoned. They had had an atonement. They had
had an atonement and been personally dedicated and had their hands filled and
they had been accepted in all of that, the full value of the offerings which had
been presented on their behalf to God. All of this was done on the behalf of the
priest. Now. All of this was done on your behalf that Jesus did for you. All of
it was done on your behalf, and then according to this precious Blood. Brother
Branham said, “It’s so precious.” One drop of it could save the world. Amen. One
portion of it, of the ram of consecration...
There was one part of
it I told you when I’d get down to that, it’d probably be the last thing. There
was one part of it that was reserved for Moses. What did I say it was? The
breast. The breast was reserved for Moses. And that was waved. He waved the
breast before the Lord because the ram of consecrations had been carried out
exactly like God told Moses to do it. He had done it exactly that way. Just like
the Father told Jesus, He did it exactly the way the Father told Him and now He
could benefit from that. Alright. In this scene, Moses, all the way through,
from the time of the first offering, the ox or the bullock, from the first sin
offering, Moses have acted out the actual presence of Jehovah God. Amen. And
when Brother Branham come, children listen to me, God could not have got any
closer to you in any way than He did through that prophet. That’s the closest
relationship that He could ever have had between the human race of this world
and God, was through that prophet, through the words of that prophet, amen,
Moses carried out.
And then what was
said on the quotes? The first quote that I pulled was taken from “Standing in
the Gap”, where he said... He was talking about Brother Roy Roberson and said he
went about for days grieving about Brother Branham being gone. And said, then
all of a sudden he was sitting at a table and he looked and there was Brother
Branham sitting at the head of the table. Now listen to this. And he said that
Brother Branham had been changed, that he was white, lit up. He was that light.
Paul said, “I am that light to the Gentiles.” He identified himself as that. He
was that light to the Bride, to show her the way. And listen to what Brother
Branham said. He said that, Brother Roy Roberson said, “And he spoke with
authority. He spoke with authority, knowing what he was saying.” And said, “All
men understood him.” Amen.
Oh my! Brother
Branham said, “Now you know I know what that was.” Then he went on down. He
said, “It’s not going to be speaking in tongues, not going to be dancing the
spirit. That might be alright, but that’s not it.” But he said, “That inside of
the inside has got to be changed.” That inside of the inside has got to be
changed. See, the priest had been cleansed. They had been atoned for then, and
all of these things had been taken care of. As Moses had stood as Jehovah, (a
substitute), actually fulfilling the commands of God, and the breast of the ram
of consecrations was his portion on that account. He was given that breast. And
the breast, actually is a type of the seed of affections, you know that. In the
heart is where the seed of affections is.
To God alone belong
all of the affections of Christ and to Christ alone belongs all of the
affections of His Bride. Amen. All of the affections of His Bride. How wonderful
it is when we look at it. Listen.
...Thou
hast loved them...
(Oh!)
Jesus said,
...I
know that thou lovest me always...
In the 17th Chapter
of St. John.
And He said,
‘Now
I’m going to sanctify Myself that these also might be sanctified, that as You
have loved Me, I’m presenting these to You.’
Listen and you notice
that He spoke in the plural there, not in the singular. He said “we, we”,
speaking of all... Amen. You’ve got to see everything that’s said. If you don’t
you’ll miss something. You’ve got to see it like it is. Alright, so now what has
happened now? He said by the Holy spirit He loved us and gave Himself for us.
That’s what He said through the Holy Spirit. God has given to us to love Jesus
and we must do that. He has given us His own hearts’ affections.
Brother Branham said,
“I used to think that Jesus loved me and God hated me.” You remember that? He
said but then I found out that Jesus was the very heart of God. Amen. Jesus was
the very affectionate part of God. The very affectionate part of God is Jesus
Christ. Amen. That’s why He prayed in the 17th Chapter of St. John, “Just make
them one as You and I are one. Amen. Let them be one, Father.” Now. And Jesus
has revealed His deep secrets this day of what happened on the cross, what
happened all the way from Adam all the way through, what happened in the garden
of Eden, the Serpent Seed, Marriage and Divorce, True Justification. He has
revealed through the Holy spirit, the prophet of the age, he has revealed to His
wife all of these secrets, amen, all of these secrets. Amen. And she is ready
now. See? She is ready.
Brother Branham said,
“There only three rooms in a house.” Amen. You’ve got the kitchen, the living
room, and the bedroom. I believe with all of my heart she’s ready to become so
intimate with Him. I believe she’s ready to become so one with Him, that
sheready to put off all of her thinking. She’s got to be. In our fellowship with
Him has got to be so desirous until there won’t nothing stand in the way. Amen.
Nothing stop that fellowship between you and that Word of this day. It’s real.
Come on sister.
Amen. It’s real. He’s
real. God is real. This Word is real. We are not talking about something that’s
just a hit and a miss. God has never at anytime lost a battle. He never lost a
battle at anytime. The reason Jesus died on the cross was because you couldn’t
do it. You could not die for you own sins because you were born in them. But He
was born in Holy righteousness... the Son of God. He could take all of our sins
and pay the price for them and then come back in resurrection and stand there as
a mediator. Every time Satan’d come up and accuse Him, He’d say, “But Father
that’s what I died for.” See? I died for it.
Back before the
perfect Word come, Luther could smoke his cigars. He could drink his beer. But
when that accusation come up before the Father, Jesus was right there, the
mediator, and said, “But I died for that.” See? It’s coming on into perfection,
it’s coming on in. Now look where we’re at. We know better, don’t we? Amen.
Water baptism... He could baptize in titles, can’t do it now. See? You can’t do
it now. So you see, all of these things have been working toward the end time to
bring about that peace that passeth all understanding. Amen. Let us stand. “I’ve
Got Peace like a River”.
Congregation sings.
Have you got that
love? Affection. The psalmist David said, “Restore unto me, O Lord, the joy of
my salvation.” If you’re lacking any joy ask God to restore it. Not to restore
the salvation, but the joy of it. Restore the joy. We’re suppose to be joyful.
We’re suppose to be happy. We’re suppose to be at peace.
Congregation
continues singing.
Praise the Lord.
Don’t you love Him? Don’t you appreciate Him? I was just thinking about
Wednesday night, you know, when the people come down around here and so
faithfully, come before the Lord for a need, and we must accept it. We must
accept it. May God bless you, richly bless you is my sincere prayer. As we go
believing that He’s already done the work. Everything is in His hand and that
nothing is lacking and that He is the God of our salvation. He is the God that
healeth thee. Amen. He is the God that gives us peace. He’s the God that breaks
the yoke. He’s the God that destroys the devil in our life. Amen. That’s right.
Brother if you’ll you come and dismiss us.
