Death and Life Chapter 2 Part 2

Let's bow our heads.

Precious Father, we deem it such a privilege at this time to bow our heads and to be able to call upon the most holy and righteous Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know that there is no redemption outside of that. Every name in heaven and in earth would have to surrender to that one Name. All the power and all the glory, all the majesty, potentates, kings and whatever would have to surrender to that Name. You said, 'Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that You're God.' And we know Lord that You are and we thank You for the mercy that You've shown us and grace Lord that You've given us. We thank You Father for the understanding that You have given us, the revelation that's come through the prophet, and how that You've opened up those things and let us look in and see what he said Lord. And we appreciate the mercy that You've extended to your children, knowing Lord without grace we're all lost and we all are duty bound to bow our heads before You toward the dust from where we come and ask for mercy and grace, Lord. I pray now that You'd forgive us all of our mistakes and give us a clear understanding of the Word for this day and not for some other day, Lord but one day at a time as we move on. Unfold that for us Lord, that we might have all of the riches of the inheritance that is promised to us even in this life Lord, and then eternal life in that place over there. We ask these blessings Lord, upon us tonight and give us that understanding of the Word that You would see that we need for this hour. We ask in Jesus' Name the Son of Man. Amen.

You may be seated.

It's so good to be here tonight to see all of you again and have this opportunity to stand at our post of duty and to fulfill our duty towards God. As I've said many times you know, and you've heard me say that I'd never profess to have a whole lot of different gifts and outstanding things. I just profess one thing, I feel like that the Lord called me to pastor and that's what I've tried to do. And so I mean, I don't try to get out of my call.

Now, I heard Brother Don say that he did appreciate the messages. These are messages that are laid upon my heart so I want to read... I had a question asked me today and sometimes I won't answer, you know, I'll just, I'll say, 'Well, so and so, you know...' And but it was a little touchy question and so we have to be careful how we answer right off, unless we know what we're talking about, and we have to know what we're talking about.

So you notice this morning we made a statement and we said that we were not saying that Adam was borned of Satan. Notice, we made that statement, but we did say that he somehow or another wound up with the nature of Satan because that's what throwed him into death. See? So if he was created in the image of God and he was God's child, see, then something happened to him. You know, it's common sense to see that something took place to reverse that situation. And it was reversed. Now, I got, I want to read from 3 places tonight from the black Bible and then we're going to go into some quotes and try to cover the statements that we made this morning as much as we possibly can, hoping that you will understand that what we are bringing, like I said, in this series that we have started Wednesday night, on 'Life Or Death Is Set Before Us'.

Life or death, it's been that way all the way. That's the two things that have been set before the human race is life or death. We can accept the Word and live or we can reject the Word and die. And that's exactly what Adam did, and so as we said this morning we are praying daily and studying that the Lord will let me present to you what I see in the Message, what I see in the eternal plan of God to bring man from the dust of the earth to the power of God. To be a part of God - not just to have an inheritance, but to be a part of God. That's what His plan was to begin with, for man to be a part of Him, and if we are ever to be there we were in Him. We were a part of Him, in His thinking, in His mind, we know that.

So now, I want to turn now first of all to Hebrews, the 2nd Chapter and I think I read some of that this morning, I believe. I don't know, I referred to it, whether I read it or not but in the 2nd Chapter of Hebrews, I want to begin reading at Verse 14 and I'll probably read the rest of that chapter there down through 18. Now, I will try not to hold you as long as I did last Sunday night. I did hold you a little long. We started at 4:00 but we got out a little late. But anyway, I won't try to hold you that long tonight.

FORASMUCH THEN AS THE CHILDREN ARE PARTAKERS OF FLESH AND BLOOD, HE ALSO HIMSELF LIKEWISE TOOK PART OF THE SAME; THAT THROUGH DEATH HE MIGHT DESTROY HIM THAT HAD THE POWER OF DEATH,...

Now what we are, the things that we are dealing with is the authority that Satan has. That's what we're trying to project to you and being very emphatic about it that he does have control over this world. He is the god of this earth. That's right. And so, he being the god of this earth, he has power over the kingdoms. And of course, you know he offered them to Jesus in a moment of time, the Scripture said, I believe in the 4th Chapter of Matthew, where carried Him up. You know, after He was baptized He was led by the Spirit up into the wilderness and He was tempted for 40 days. Now you notice a lot of people say, 'After 40 days He was tempted', but the Scripture said that He was tempted for 40 days, see, and afterward He was hungry, and Satan still had not left Him. See. And so Satan picked up a stone and said, 'You know, if you're hungry why don't you turn this stone to bread because You got power over these things. If You're the Son of God you can do that.' So, but He said, 'It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.' So the Scripture said then that he took Him up then into a high mountain and in a moments time showed Him all of the kingdoms of the world, and said, 'If you will fall down and worship me I'll give them to you.' So that is proof. Now you know Jesus... It would not have been a temptation to Jesus if he was lying, because Jesus would have known that he was lying. Is that right? So it would not have been a temptation to Him if Satan was lying. But Satan was not lying. He had that authority and he still has it, he's dominant over this world, and all the politicians and everything. That's what a mess... You see what a mess it's all in. Alright. So now this One that come was to deliver us from this. So I want to start back and read this again because I stopped in the middle to comment.

FORASMUCH THEN AS THE CHILDREN ARE PARTAKERS OF FLESH AND BLOOD, HE ALSO HIMSELF LIKEWISE TOOK PART OF THE SAME;... (Now, what did He take part of flesh and blood for? Alright.) THAT THROUGH DEATH, (that through death) HE MIGHT DESTROY HIM THAT HAD THE POWER OF DEATH,...

So like I told somebody out there this morning, I forget who it was but I said, 'You know, he's dead but he don't know it yet,' and I said, 'he still believes, he still believes that he can conquer God.' He still believes that, yes sir. And he's still on his job. The Scripture said that he would go about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Realizing that he has but a short time, he knows that he has but a short time to bring a showdown, to bring a showdown. So he's going to do everything he can. Alright, so He came in flesh to deliver us from the power, from the power of death.

...THAT IS, THE DEVIL; (That's the devil. Alright, now.) AND DELIVER THEM WHO THROUGH FEAR OF DEATH WERE ALL (of) THEIR LIFETIME SUBJECT TO BONDAGE.

So you see we have been in bondage all of our life until we come to Christ. We come to Christ, we get out from under that bondage.

Now, I want us to go now from there to II Corinthians 4 and let's look at something, and I want to read the first 4 verses.

THEREFORE SEEING WE HAVE THIS MINISTRY, AS WE HAVE RECEIVED MERCY, WE FAINT NOT;

BUT HAVE RENOUNCED THE HIDDEN THINGS OF DISHONESTY, (and) WALKING IN CRAFTINESS, NOT WALKING IN CRAFTINESS, NOR HANDLING THE WORD OF GOD DECEITFULLY; BUT BY MANIFESTATION OF THE TRUTH COMMENDING OURSELVES TO EVERY MAN'S CONSCIENCE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD.

BUT IF OUR GOSPEL BE HID, IT IS HID TO THEM THAT ARE LOST:

IN WHOM THE GOD OF THIS WORLD (Huh? The god of this world) HATH BLINDED THE MINDS OF THEM WHICH BELIEVE NOT, LEST THE LIGHT OF THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL OF CHRIST, WHO IS THE IMAGE OF GOD, SHOULD SHINE (upon) THEM.

So why do they not see it? Because the god of this world has blinded their eyes. Alright. How do we get out from under this thing? How do we come out,... how do we get out from under this death, this penalty, this condemnation? Let's turn to I Peter and going out the door, as Brother Gerald went out the door Wednesday night he mentioned this Scripture and I said, 'Yes, when I mentioned, over the next 6 weeks or so think about it and see if you think that Adam had another birth.' You know he was created in the image of God. And I said, 'Now you think about it and see how did he get that nature?' How do you get the nature of God? You have to be borned again, isn't that right? You have to be borned again to get the nature of God. So instead of him... He was created in the image of God, so he had to go backwards. See? Like I explained to you this morning or tried to about Satan, which was created the most beautiful of all creatures that God made and sat right next to God. See? Right next to God. Alright. And he must have had the nature of God. See. Because God would not have created him in any other way, so he must have had the nature of God but he went backwards.

He was so close to God... He looked and saw Brother T.B., that maybe, just maybe, that he could overthrow God and he could be the god. And he's still working on that, see, he's still working on it. So when he did this what happened? He received another nature. He received the nature of death, because to reject God is death. So when he rejected God death was pronounced upon him. And, of course, in the 12th Chapter of Revelation you'll find out where he was cast out of heaven. Alright, now if you'll notice in the 14th Chapter of Isaiah you'll find where that he was the most beautiful, Lucifer, the star of the morning, and how that he rebelled against God. Alright. So now let us look here and I want to begin at Verse 18 of this 1st Chapter of I Peter.

FORASMUCH AS YE KNOW THAT YE WERE NOT REDEEMED WITH CORRUPTIBLE THINGS, AS SILVER AND GOLD, FROM YOUR VAIN CONVERSATION RECEIVED BY TRADITION FROM YOUR FATHERS;

So it seems like here that what Peter is trying to convince these people of, that they have been redeemed from this corruptible thing of the traditions that they have received from their fathers. And the most, the greatest hindrance that there is among the people of the Message today is traditions. That's the greatest hindrance there is, because they will take tradition over the Word of God. Because they don't believe that God could speak something that would be so contrary to the tradition. But He did, and He always has. See. Alright, so now we have been delivered from this corruptible thing as silver... Watch now.

FORASMUCH AS YE KNOW THAT YE WERE NOT REDEEMED WITH CORRUPTIBLE THINGS, AS SILVER AND GOLD, FROM YOUR VAIN CONVERSATION RECEIVED BY TRADITION FROM YOUR FATHERS;

Well if I wasn't redeemed with that corruptible stuff of silver and gold how was I redeemed? How was I redeemed? See. So he's going to tell you.

He was foreordained before the foundation of the world to be that Lamb and His Name was put there and if you were to be His Bride your name was put there with Him. Right at the same time. Alright, now.

WHO BY HIM DO BELIEVE IN GOD, THAT RAISED HIM UP FROM THE DEAD, AND GAVE HIM GLORY; THAT YOUR FAITH AND HOPE MIGHT BE IN GOD.

Now listen to this. Here comes, here comes the thing that - the question was asked, you know. Alright.

SEEING YE HAVE PURIFIED YOUR SOULS IN OBEYING THE TRUTH THROUGH THE SPIRIT UNTO UNFEIGNED LOVE OF THE BRETHREN, SEE THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER WITH A PURE HEART FERVENTLY:

Now it don't make no difference what people think about you and what people say about you, if you lose your feeling and your love, you know, for them something's wrong. If you let something slip into your heart and feel bad toward them, then there's something bad wrong with the spirit that you're borned of. See? It could not be the Spirit of God. I'm honest with you. Alright.

BEING BORN AGAIN, NOT OF CORRUPTIBLE SEED, (Now, but of incorruptible.) BEING BORN AGAIN, NOT OF CORRUPTIBLE SEED, (So He's saying that we were not born of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed so there must be a corruptible seed that a man is borned of. See. Alright.) BY THE

See. We were born the same way that Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary. The same way, by the Word of God. Amen. Ah, I just love that, you know. You see, it's just so simple, yet people make it so, you know, they go around the mountain. See. But it's simple.

...WHICH LIVETH AND ABIDETH FOR EVER.

Amen. The Word of God is what you're borned of , the incorruptible Seed which liveth and abideth forever. Alright.

BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURETH FOR EVER. AND THIS IS THE WORD WHICH BY THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED UNTO YOU.

Amen. So now we are looking... On the basis of what we said this morning the comments of what we made this morning I want to go into some quotes. First of all we said that we believed that Adam received another nature. We believe that he received spiritual death. We believe that he accepted death over life. He had life but he was a free-moral agent. He was a free-moral agent and he could do whatever he wanted.

Alright now watch what Brother Branham said on 'Harvest Time' about Adam. And I remember so clearly that message 'Harvest Time'. It was, I remember the first time I heard it and it shook me up so, you know, I just... It was 1964 and I wondered when he said, when he talked about the combine, you know, and I wondered what was he talking about. What is he saying? See, 'Harvest Time'. We had heard harvest time preached every other way but the way he preached it. That's right, I mean, you know, when the prophet comes and brings a message it's right straight from the throne of God and it's so different from anything else you ever heard. It rings a bell. It brings questions if it's real, and then the only answer, the only way you can get the answer is right back in that Word. It's there, amen. So you just bear with me tonight. Alright. 'Harvest Time' in Phoenix, AZ in 1964.

'NOW ADAM HAD A CHOICE. (Alright, we told you that this morning. Didn't we? He had a choice.) .AND IF HE HELD THE WORD,... (If he held the Word.) .HE LIVED. (Adam. Alright.) IF HE DIDN'T HOLD THE WORD, HE DIED (See. Now it's not the way he thought or the way that he might interpret it, but it's the way God said it. See? That's the thing.) AND WE GOT THE SAME THING, SEE. WE STAY WITH THE WORD, WE LIVE.. 'MAN SHALL LIVE BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.' (See, every Word.) ...BUT IF WE DON'T, WE DIE, (See..) WE SPIRITUALLY DIE...'

Spiritually die if we don't stay with every Word. Now every time the Word don't suit everybody's, you know, fancy. And so, so many times the Word of God cuts against the tradition. And so many times people will accept the tradition and that's what Peter was talking about. The tradition. Alright, now.

'...OH, IF WE CAN STILL MAKE A NOISE, (See, being spiritually dead.) WE CAN STILL MAKE NOISE, (but we) AND (we can) HOLLER, AND CARRY ON, AND KICK AROUND, BUT (that' not) LIVING (See? That's not it.) I AM A MISSIONARY... (He said, and) ...I'VE HEARD HEATHENS KICK AROUND AND HOLLER...'

Me and Brother Don, we've seen them get out there and build a fire and start dancing around that fire, the Hindus, they're dancing to their gods. Gods (plural). They're having a time, yes sir. And it's real. We have stood and watched them go and make all kind of motions. They'll go out to a tree and they'll get a leaf off of that tree, they worship that tree. They'll go out and get, (and listen to this)... It sounds filthy and it is but it's the truth. They'll go out and wait until this old cow that's their god, urinates and they'll stick a container under there and get that urine from the cow and drink it because that's their god. See? That's their god. You see, so what I'm trying to tell you is: They are and they'll shout and go up and down and hold their banners up, up and down the main streets of the great city there of Hyderabad. I've seen it right there where there'd be hundreds and hundreds of people following this old bull. Right down the street, we saw it right there. You couldn't even get through. So many. What are they doing? They're giving up praises to their god, this old bull. See, so that don't mean that they've got life. They're as dead as dead can be. See. But still they're not laying out there in a grave somewhere, that's what I'm talking about. See, to be spiritually dead is not to decease. See, but it's to be separated from God. See, alright? Now.

'...EVE COMPROMISED TO SATAN'S ONE WORD, (She) COMPROMISED TO SATAN'S ONE WORD, THEN DIED... (Compromised to Satan's one word, 'surely'. See. And she died. See? It's not what I think about it, it's what God said about it.) AND IF, THE BEGINNING, WHICH GOD IN HIS GRACE AND MERCY (He) COULD'VE BYPASSED ALL THE SUFFERINGS THAT WE'VE DONE, ALL (of) THESE DEATHS OF LITTLE BABIES, (He could have bypassed all of that,) AND EVERYTHING, AND THE WARS, AND INTERNALS, AND CRUCIFIXIONS, AND THINGS THAT WE'VE HAD; IF HE COULD'VE BYPASSED IT, (Now watch.) HIS SOVEREIGNTY OF HIS WORD WOULD'VE PERMITTED HIM TO BYPASS IT, (If the sovereignty of His Word would have permitted Him to do it.) HE WOULD'VE BEEN UNJUST IF HE DIDN'T BYPASS IT THEN (Now, watch now.) HE CAN'T BYPASS IT. HE NEVER BYPASSED IT FOR ADAM TO BEGIN WITH. AND HE (don't) BYPASS IT (if) YOU OR I TO BEGIN WITH. (He will not bypass His Word for you or for me or anybody else. He's going to call a justice to His Word. That's right. Now.) WE MUST COME TO THAT THING, THE WORD ONLY. 'LET EVERY MAN'S WORD BE A LIE AND MINE BE TRUE,'...'

That's what we were talking about this morning. Making a choice which way you're going. Alright. Now we're looking all through this, all through this series regardless of how long it goes. We are looking at one thing, God's plan for His children. That's what we're looking at. All the way through that's what we're looking at. Alright, now still on 'Harvest Time'.

'...NOW WE'RE JUST LOOKING FOR WHAT DAY WE'RE LIVING IN. (We're just looking now for what day we're living in.) THE HARVEST TIME.'

' (Alright.) THEN GOD AFTER ADAM HAD FAILED, (after Adam had failed) TRIED BY THE WORD AND FAILED....'

What did God bring against Adam? One thing He brought against him, only one thing. He listened to the voice of his wife. That's the only thing that God had against him. That's the only thing that God said he done. Why? Because she had left the Word and she invited him to do the same and he listened to her. See? Alright.

'...GOD CONTINUED IN HIS CREATION TO TRY TO FIND A MAN WHO WOULD LIVE EVERY WORD. (He sought for that man.) NOW LOOK, HE TRIED TO FIND THAT... WOULD LIVE THE WORD FOR HIS AGE. (That man that would live the Word for his age.) NOW, YOU SEE, GOD SCATTERED HIS WORD OUT, ...'

See. Scattered His Word out. He didn't give all of it to Noah, neither did He give all of it to Moses. He didn't give all of it to Paul. He scattered it out. Amen. See? Then all of it has got to come over the period of time that he allotted to man. All of the Word has got to come. Every bit of it has got to come, even the Seven Thunder Mysteries that wasn't written in the Bible. It has to come, see. Alright. So now I hope you're looking.

'...HE'S OMNIPOTENT, HE'S OMNISCIENT, SO THEREFORE HE KNOWS ALL THINGS. NOW HE CAN'T BE PRESENT EVERYWHERE. (No, He can't be present as a, you know, as a manifestation like Jesus manifesting Himself in Jesus,) HE COULDN'T BE PRESENT EVERYWHERE. BUT HE CAN BE PRESENT IF... KNOWING ALL THINGS THEN HE CAN BE PRESENT EVERYWHERE. (In an omniscient condition. Watch.) THAT'S THE WAY HE PREDESTINATES, BY THE FOREKNOWLEDGE, NOT BECAUSE HE DESIRES THAT THIS PERSON SHOULD BE SAVED AND THIS ONE LOST. BUT HE KNEW WHO WOULD BE LOST, WHO WOULD BE SAVED. (See?) THEREFORE BY HIS FOREKNOWLEDGE HE CAN PREDESTINATE AND HE MAKES EVERYTHING WORK TO HIS GLORY...'

See, everything works to His glory. As I was talking to Brother Winston this morning about his family. It's hard, it's hard, but he'll take that. The law took his children. They'll pay for it. Absolutely. But we have to be careful too of how we feel about them because remember, the god of this world has blinded their eyes just like one time we were blinded. See? So we have to be careful about how we feel about them. We just have to look at it like this: Somewhere or another God's going to receive glory out of it, Brother Winston because 'all things work together for good to them that love the Lord, to them that are called according to His purpose.' That's the Word of God so that's what we believe. Alright. Now.

'...AND HE MAKES EVERYTHING WORK TO HIS GLORY. THAT'S WHAT HIS ATTRIBUTES ARE DOING, (That's what His thoughts, His attributes, thoughts expressed are doing.) DISPLAYING TO HIS GLORY, ONE VESSEL OF HONOR, ONE VESSEL OF DISHONOR. (One vessel of honor, one of dishonor. Twins. Amen, see.) BUT IT'S GOD THAT MAKETH IT, NOT HIM THAT WILLETH OR HIM THAT RUNNETH BUT IT'S GOD THAT SHOWS MERCY...'

Is that right? It's God that shows mercy. Alright. Now on the 'Spoken Word Is The Original (Truth or) Seed', which is the truth. Amen, is that right? The 'Spoken Word Is The Original Seed'. Remember what you are borned by if you have the second birth and don't let the devil push you around. See. Tell him who you are. See? Don't let him tell you who you are because he'll paint the picture black for you. But tell him who you are. Amen. Alright. Now he tells us, I told you this morning that there was a twofold death that happened there in the garden of Eden. Is that right? Alright, I told you that I'd back up everything that I said by spoken Word tonight. So now, I made that statement, that there was a twofold death there both spiritual and physical. He received the spiritual death first then it was 930 years before the physical death materialized but it was already pronounced upon him. He could not live beyond that time. Alright, watch now what Brother Branham said.

'THIS WAS BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL WITH EVE. FIRST AND ANY TIME... NOW, I'VE TOLD YOU AND ASK YOU THIS MORNING, SISTERS, TO FORGIVE ME SO I CAN MAKE SURE THAT... ANY TIME THAT A WOMAN... (Now listen.) ANY TIME THAT A WOMAN TAKES THE WRONG STEP (Now,) I'M TALKING ABOUT CHRIST AND (the) BRIDE NOW. (And He's typing it, he's typing it, see.) BUT ANYTIME A WOMAN TAKES THE WRONG STEP, SHE HAS TO FIRST RECEIVE IT IN HER MIND. THAT'S RIGHT. ( See she has to receive it in her mind.) THAT'S RIGHT. SOME SLICKER HAS TO PERSUADE HER, AND SHE LISTENS TO IT AGAINST HER OWN BETTER JUDGMENT. (See?) THEN THE ACT (is) COMMITTED. (But first she receives it in her mind. And she's already branded then because she's already gone away from the Word, if it's the wrong thing that's presented to her and she receives it in her mind she's already slipped away from the Word. Alright. So it's just... Then, the next thing is to make the commitment you know, and do it, you know. Alright.) FIRST,...SATAN HIT EVE'S MIND, (Alright.) AND IN THE WOMB OF HER MIND SHE DOUBTED GOD'S WORD;...'

Oh, how many times does he do that? How many times? Now the Scriptures that we read from here tonight will identify what we're talking about. Now Satan is too smart. He's too smart to have one of these Message preachers like me or Brother Don or Brother Tiny or anybody else to flat out deny a message that Brother Branham preached. They're not going to do that. They got more sense than that. I mean Satan has got more sense than that. He's not going to temp them to that but what he's going to do is to let them come all the way up to one little bitty thing and say, well, Brother Branham said, 'that the foolish virgins were saved.' That's just one little thing, now I could take a list of them but we'll just take that one. Now, did Brother Branham say they were saved or did he say they were antichrist? What did he say? What did Brother Branham say about the foolish virgins? He said they had no oil and the reason they did not receive the Holy Ghost was because that they refused to receive the fullness of God's Word. Is that what he said? They refused to receive the fullness of God's Word so therefore they are lost. But Satan can get so many of these ministers to come up to that point and say, 'but they're going to be purged and going in.' Well now that's Satan's lie. That is not the Prophet's Message. See? So you see what I'm saying. He is not going to try to get you to go all out but just one word. He didn't try to get Eve to deny the whole thing. He said, 'I know that He has told you this, you know, that's right. But surely you wouldn't die. See. I mean, God does know...' And he started painting the picture so clean and so clear, 'God does know that in the day that you partake of this you're going to be like Him. See, you're going to know good and bad, you're going to know how to separate it.' See. That's the picture that he is sewing. Is that right? Alright. So let's just go on a little bit.

'AND THE ONLY WAY THAT WE CAN EVER BE BORNED AGAIN IS FIRST IN THE WOMB OF THE MIND RECEIVE THE WORD,...'

You will never be borned again until you receive the Word of God in your mind without a doubt. You say that's exactly what the Word of God says like Mary said, 'This is a hard saying, nevertheless let it be unto thy handsmaid according to they Word.' See? That brings the new birth. Alright. Now, watch now. It brought the birth of Jesus on the scene. Alright. It brings the birth of the children of God right into His Kingdom. Alright.

'...AND THEN THE SPIRIT (capitalized) COMES ON TOP OF THAT AND BRINGS IT. THERE YOU ARE. (Now.) THAT'S WHAT DOES IT. (That's the second birth, see. Would God be a respecter of persons if He sent a prophet and the prophet laid it down. Drop a plumb bob and say, 'Oh well a quarter of an inch don't mean that much.' It does. That's what you got the plumb bob for. You're going to get it on the dot. I wouldn't want nobody to take a plumb bob and say, 'well we're an eighth of an inch off and oh my, that's close enough.' But an eighth of an inch off here, Brother Branham said, 'when you hit the target out there you've missed it a long ways.' See? So Satan will get you an eighth of an inch off, or maybe a hundred thousandths off. He might get down into precision. He might get you ten thousandths off. That's thousandths or maybe one millionth off. Still you're off. See? You're off and that's what caused spiritual and physical death in the garden. It will do the same thing tonight. The same thing. That's exactly what Brother Branham is trying to get us to see.

And if you take the original Isaiah said 'the virgin', like I said this morning. 'The virgin is going to conceive and bring forth...' It wasn't a virgin it was the virgin that God ordained before the foundation of the world. Amen. And placed her there at the right time. Amen. I could shout now. I tell you what's the truth when you get to thinking about it, what kind of a God are we serving. We're serving a God that never lost a battle. You say, 'Well, Satan done this and this.' So He come to call a people out from that. Well, as I said down there yesterday. Somebody was sitting there, we were fellowshipping a little bit. Moses - how many of you know that Exodus , Brother Branham said was the book of redemption? Is that right? That's what Brother Branham said. He preached a message, 'Exodus The Book of Redemption'. Alright. Moses was the redeemer. Moses was ordained to bring them out. Is that right? But he didn't take them in. See? None of them went in that come out but two. Just two. See? So to come out is one thing, but to go in is something else. They all died in the wilderness and Brother Branham said they were brought out by the hand of the prophet and died in the wilderness. The Scripture said, Brother Branham said, 'They were dead, eternally separated from God.' See? But they were led out by the prophet. Amen. Does it make you think? Does it make you shake a little bit to go back and see if we have listened to every Word? See if we have obeyed every bit of it? Couldn't you imagine these big fellows? They couldn't understand how that prophet could make that Word work so. And he didn't even hardly, I mean, he didn't get no farther than the sixth grade. But they could not cross him up, I mean even on science or anything else. He had their answer. See, he had their answer, even above the college graduates. They didn't even understand what he was talking about when he told them about that little thing all the way back under Los Angeles, them little things way up under there. Then years later they come up with these little submarines and they go down in there and they find out that the told them the truth. See, it's there. It's setting up on the bank, I mean, hanging out over the water just waiting for the right shake. And what's going to happen? It's going down just exactly like he said. Now could you imagine some great PhD, Brother Branham put the LLD's on it, and I don't know what they mean but he did. And then, and he said:

SHE WAS PREGNATED WITH THAT KIND OF A PREGNATION. (And) THAT'S WHAT THE CHURCH IS TODAY (the same thing) BY BIBLE SCHOOLS AND INTELLECTUALS, AND LOOK, EVERYONE DISAGREEING WITH THE OTHER...'

If I - and I've never in my life, and I've been, you know, I started out in the Church of God. I got license in the Church of God and I saw the disagreements when the first convention I went to after my... After two years of pastoring a church I went to my first convention. I saw what was happening. I saw there was so much confusion and I said, 'I can't take this' so I came out and went independent. Then I had some woman to come to me and, I can't think of her name now, she was as sweet as she could be. I mean, you know, in the Lord I mean, and she really wanted to know the truth and she come to me and she said, 'Brother Holmes, are you saying that this church is the only one that's got the truth?' I said, 'Are you saying that the Spiritual Church of God that I'm pastoring is the only on that's got the truth?' She said, 'yes sir.' I said, 'No, I'm not saying that.' I said, 'What I'm saying is that God is the only one that's got the truth.' Amen. See, I had not met the prophet yet. Not met him yet, amen. She said, 'Well they tell me that you say that you've got to belong to this church or you're going to hell.' I said, 'I never said that. You don't have to belong to this church or no church,' see, I said, 'but you've got to belong to the Body of Christ.' I saw that. Amen. And so you know, and she come on down and joined up with us. I said, 'No you don't have to believe...' I said, 'No you don't have to belong to this church but you've got to believe the Word of God. You've got to believe the Word of God.' See. Alright.

So now that's the thing that we want to watch. We've got to be... When the time comes for us to be further instructed in the Word we've got to accept it. We can't say, 'Well...' Now you know years ago and you sitting here, I know some of you are sitting here and you heard it and I explained to you about how a sculpture starts working on his project and he'll move a little bit off at a time and let you look at it, but he still keeps part of it concealed. He don't let you see all of it. And then he'll work a little longer, a few more days another church age. Amen. And then He'll pull the cover veil off and let you look at that church age. Then He'll work on another church age on down until finally the last church age. And then on the last church age what does He do? He pulls the cover off and says, 'That's it, that's God.'

That's what we've been talking about, the Seventh Seal is the coming of Jesus Christ in the Bride, Word form. Amen. You get it? It's the coming of Christ the Word. Now what is the Bride? Huh, what is the Bride of Jesus Christ? What did Brother Branham say it was in the Church Ages Book? He said, 'It is the unadulterated, spoken Seed Word of God.' The Bride. The spoken Seed Word of God. So that's what the Bride... Well what is God? The Word. Alright, you see what I'm saying. Alright, so then if we come down to the thing... 'Now what manner of person ought we to be,' Paul said, 'in all manner of conversation.' See, alright. So now.

'...EVE (What did she take?) SHE WAS PREGNATED WITH THAT KIND OF A PREGNATION. (And) THAT'S WHAT THE CHURCH IS TODAY (and it's) A BIG MESS OF JUST EXACTLY WHAT THE BIBLE SAID: BABYLON. (Which is confusion.)'

Now we used to could talk about, you know, we used to could talk about these other churches Brother David. I mean, hey, I'm talking about the Baptists, the Methodists, Presbyterian, even Pentecosts, we could talk about how far off the Word they are. But now let's come down home and look at the Message churches. Let's come down home and look and see how many of them agree. That's exactly what he said. You can get nobody hardly to agree anymore. Is that right? Alright. How many can you get to agree? Now for the sake of the crowd, they'll come together, 'because they feel comfortable,' Brother Branham said, 'in the framework .' Is that right? So they feel comfortable with numbers. So they're growing and growing with leaps and bounds with these great ministers, amen, that's bringing great conventions together. I wonder if they would invite my little group. I don't get no invitations. Alright. It's something to think about, isn't it? Alright, you know. 'That Day At Calvary', amen, 'That Day At Calvary'.

'AND WHEN SIN STRUCK THE EARTH BACK IN THE BEGINNING LIKE A SHEET OF BLACKNESS FALLING FROM THE HEAVEN, IT LITERALLY PARALYZED THE EARTH. (Sin literally paralyzed the earth when it struck.) IT THROWED EVERY CREATURE ON THE EARTH, ...ALL OF GOD'S CREATION, IN BONDAGE. (Well I read there where this was supposed to take us out of bondage. See? The Word, take us out. Alright. Well, who were we in bondage to? The devil, Satan. Alright.) MAN WAS UNDER BONDAGE OF DEATH, SICKNESS, TROUBLES, SORROWS. ALL NATURE FELL WITH IT. (All nature fell with that same thing.) SIN WAS AN ANESTHETIC (to paralyze, see.) THAT ACTUALLY PARALYZED THE EARTH. AND THEN WE WAS SET HERE HOPELESS, 'CAUSE EVERY CREATURE ON EARTH WAS SUBJECT TO IT, (Every creature. Amen.)...'

I was talking to my children the other day and I said, uh, they was talking about, you know, animals like the dog and the horse. I said, 'Well I know one thing for sure, I know they going to be one horse over there and his name is Prince. I know they going to be one dog over there and his name if Fritz.' I know that because he seen them. Is that right? So they got eternal life. Now you say, 'Well you couldn't have eternal life without being borned again.' Now wait a minute. That's for the Bride. Now you go back and look at the 144,000 now they had to receive the Message. Brother Branham said, 'they had to receive the Seal of God.' But how many of them was under that altar? 'Multitudes were under the altar,' Brother Branham said, 'that were never borned again and they had white robes given to them and went into eternal life without the new birth.' The Jews. So if He could put a human being in there like that, certainly He could put a dog or a horse in there.

Brother Branham said that God told he that everything that he loved and everything that loved him. I told Sister Darlene the other day, I said, 'I believe I'll be there because I love him to death.' Amen. I said, 'I just love him. I love him more everyday, every time I pick up a message to read I love him more. I love him more for giving his life, amen, that we could have his.' You say, 'Give his life?' Yes, sir. He certainly did. He gave his life for us. Yes sir. He had no life of his own. He gave his life to God, for God's children, for His people. Amen. He was dedicated to that one cause, to get this Message out. Amen, and that was his whole desire. Alright. Well, I just about lost myself here. Now.

'...AND THEN WE WAS SET HERE HOPELESS, 'CAUSE EVERY CREATURE ON EARTH WAS (the same way)...'

'ONE OF US COULD NOT REDEEM THE OTHER. IT HAD TO COME FROM ANOTHER. (And) THEREFORE, WHEN MAN REALIZED THAT HE WAS SEPARATED FROM HIS GOD, HE BECOME A WANDERER. THEY WEPT; THEY CRIED; THEY TOILED; THEY WANDERED ABOUT THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS AND THROUGH THE DESERTS SEEKING (a place), A CITY WHOSE BUILDER AND MAKER WAS GOD. FOR HE KNEW THAT IF HE EVER GOT BACK IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD, HE COULD TALK IT OVER WITH HIM...'

Amen, but you got to get in His presence before you talk it over with him, and how do you get in His presence? Through His Word, through His Word only. Word, amen. Alright. I just, we were looking at a song the other day and it was the 'Heart On A Weeping Willow' or something like that was the title of it. I didn't know the song, I said, 'I want to know that song.' I said, 'Do you know where that song come from?' Talking to Sister Darlene I said, 'Do you know where that song come from?' And she said, 'I've heard you say things about it.' I said, 'That come from over there where those children of Israel, see they got so far away from God and so backslid until God turned them over to an idolatrous country. And they were carried away captive, and they had heard about those great songs of Zion that they sung, these Babylonians. And they want to hear some of that. They'd still love to hear it today, but you know, not too many people can sing them anymore. They've hung their hearts up on a weeping willow.' And they said, 'How can we sing the songs of Zion in a strange land?'

Too many of the people that were once on fire for God has got out in the world and they've hung up their hearts. Amen. We need a fire. We need a revival. Amen. We need a stirring, not of the Word, it's here. But of a desire to have that Word lived in us. Amen. I got about 3 or 4 more pages of quotes and I'm going to stop right here because I told you I wasn't going to hold you so long tonight. I love you and I know that that door is set out there and if we can, there's 2 of them, we can go either way. Amen. The choice is ours.

Listen. The choice if ours. Which way will you go? Will you search the Scriptures to see if those things are true or will you maybe listen to somebody's idea of it and miss it? I think I'll search the Scripture. I want to see if those things are true. Amen. There's one Scripture that I want to read. It just came to my mind and I think maybe that I can find it. And it's in Acts, I believe the 28th Chapter if you'll just pardon me. Old Paul speaking here in Acts 28. Well he's repeating what Jesus said really, is what it is, and then I'm closing. Alright. Amen. I can't, let's see. Well maybe I won't be able to find it. I was hoping that I could, but... No, alright, it's in the 26th Chapter. Alright listen.

Are you listening? When He appears, when He invites you He does that for a specific purpose. It's not that you invite yourself. No sir. Brother Branham said, 'Man has never sought God,' see, he said, 'he runs from Him.' Look at Adam. As soon as he sinned what did he do? He run and hid hisself because he didn't want to face God. See. So God seeks you.

See, I'm making you a minister and a witness of these things that you've seen and the other things that I will appear to you. Huh, is that what He said? Alright, now.

DELIVERING THEE FROM THE PEOPLE, AND FROM THE GENTILES, UNTO WHOM NOW I SEND THEE,

TO OPEN THEIR EYES, AND TO TURN THEM FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT, AND FROM THE POWER OF SATAN (the power and the authority of Satan) UNTO GOD, (He's talking about the gentiles. Paul was sent to them.) THAT THEY MAY RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, AND INHERITANCE AMONG THEM WHICH ARE SANCTIFIED BY FAITH THAT IS IN ME.

The faith that is in Christ will sanctify you. It'll clean your life up. It'll make you right. So many things that we could say, so many things. But we got a long time if the Lord tarries, if He don't we don't need it. I mean, you know, they were working out here on the church yesterday and Brother Richard Dozier, he had been up there getting the leaves and stuff off and cleaning off the building on top here on the roof, and he come down and he said, 'Brother Holmes, did you know that that roof is about gone?' I said, 'You mean on the church?' And I thought he was talking about down here on the fellowship hall. He said, 'I'm talking about on the church.' I said, 'Is that right?' He said, 'yeah, it's worn out, it's gone.' I said, 'Well you know what we're going to have to do?' What did I tell you brother? I said, 'We're going to have to say, Even so come, Lord Jesus.' Amen. It's served it's purpose, it's been a good place. Amen.

Oh, so many preachers have come through here. So many people have come through and we're still preaching the same thing. Still believing the same thing. Alright, watch. As He unfolded one step at a time. I said, 'Let's just pray, even so come Lord Jesus.' Is that right, Brother Chris? Amen. Are you ready? Would you be afraid to face Him tonight? Would you be afraid for Him to call our number out of the rack tonight, and say, 'Come on over, I want you to be with me.' I tell you what, if you don't know Him you need to walk in the Spirit a little bit and you can learn Him because He is a spirit. We found that out this morning and I had a quote on that but you see, the time is out. Alright, but God is a spirit, the devil is a spirit. We are a spirit. See. Amen.

God deals with your spirit. Amen. Satan deals with your spirit. Satan is a spirit dealing with your spirit. God is a spirit dealing with your spirit. Amen. That's the way they do. Alright let us stand.

Oh my, He lives tonight. How do I know He lives? As I told some of them down there yesterday, I said, 'We know that we are the Bride. We know that we are part of Him because we have passed from death unto life and we have love one to another, and even love our enemies.' And you know, the thing of it is, you'll find it not hard to love your enemies. It's not hard for you to love them, and pray for them, not ridicule them and talk about them, you know. Pray for them. Amen. You remember when you were alienated and without the commonwealth of God? Remember when you were out there running around doing those things? Huh? You didn't want to put no time in with nobody that was serving God. You remember that? I mean, you tried to get away from them, you didn't want to hear nothing like that. But one day He hemmed you up, didn't He? Amen. Just pray that God will hem them up and say, 'Look here, look what this is. This is the Message of the day.' Amen. Oh I love Him. I love Him. I love Him. Brother Josh Williams, come and dismiss us. Amen. Don't you love Him? Don't you appreciate Him? I appreciate my young people, these young men. I appreciate them.
