Let’s bow our heads.

Precious Holy God, our Father, such a privilege now to bow our heads in Your presence, thanking You for this opportunity Lord that we have to come together, knowing Father that You have given us another privilege, given us another chance, Lord, to listen to the Word and to hear from You, Father, and I pray that You would sharpen our understanding tonight spiritually speaking. Let’s us see the things,Lord, that we need to see. If there’s any weaknesses in our lives, and I’m sure there are, we need to be looking out for those things, and to move them out as fast as we can. Knowing Lord that this hour is upon us now, and we don’t know what moment will be the last one. We don’t realize how close it is. Maybe, we know Lord, that things are shaping up so fast, and we just realize that it’s got to come to an end, because You promised that it would. We’re looking forward Lord, for that great day of the Millennium reign, where all of the cares of this life will be done away with. The disappointments, misunderstandings, all of it will be finished then. And we’ll all be in another body; in a change, walking around looking like You Lord, because that’s what the Scripture said. And I believe it’ll all come back into God again. And I pray Lord, that You’d give us an understanding tonight. Watch over us now, heal the sick. Be with Sister Ruthie and Brother Winston, Lord, and the family, as they are planning on taking a trip tomorrow. Going down, not for a visit Lord, but, for the final rites of her father. And we know it’s a sad thingLord, to have to say goodbye to our loved ones here, but we’re looking to another place somewhere, where there won’t be no more heaped up mounds where the graves have been, the peoples bodies have been put. No more draped things of beautiful flowers and things over somebody’s grave, Lord. No more dead bodies being around. We know, Lord, that we’ll be free from all imperfection. No age in there, man not having any limit of days, but living in eternity. That’s what we’re looking for, Lord. And I pray that You’d help all of us that’s here tonight to look to this Truth, which is the only way that we’re going to be able to make it. We ask it in Jesus’ Name, the Son of Man. Amen.

I asked Brother Tiny tonight, I said Brother, I just got a lot that I’d liked to try to cover if I could, tonight. I don’t know, you know if I can get all of it. I’m not going to try to hold you no two or three hours or something like that. I’d like to try to get as much of this in as I can tonight. (Brother Holmes clears throat.) And if you’ll excuse me. Pardon me. A lot of that old cold is going around, and Satan’s been trying to throw it at me, and I kick it back at him. And he’s trying to afflict my throat now, so I’m going to call victory tonight in the Name of the Lord. And so, that’s what I’m looking for.

Now tonight, I want to read from Genesis, the book of Genesis. And this is where we been looking at a lot, and I want you to turn with us to the 17th Chapter, and I want to get right into the lesson tonight as quick as I can. I’d like to say to Sister Ruthie and the family that we have been in prayer with her and the family about the loss of her father. We know there’s no words that you can ever say to try to comfort somebody. It’s just, it’s a loss that’s there, and so it’s just something that you have to adjust yourself to, and we’re praying for you.

Now in the 17th Chapter, I want to read, I think, a few verses there and then I want to go over to the 22nd Chapter and read a few verses.

AND WHEN (Abraham) WAS NINETY YEARS OLD AND NINE, THE LORD APPEARED TO ABRAM, ( not Abraham, but Abram. He had not yet become Abraham.) AND THE LORD APPEARED (unto) ABRAM, AND SAID UNTO HIM, I AM THE ALMIGHTY GOD; WALK BEFORE ME AND BE THOU PERFECT.

THIS IS MY COVENANT (with you), WHICH YOU SHALL KEEP, BETWEEN ME AND YOU AND THY SEED AFTER THEE; EVERY MAN CHILD AMONG YOU SHALL BE CIRCUMCISED.

AND HE THAT IS EIGHT DAYS OLD SHALL BE CIRCUMCISED AMONG YOU, EVERY MAN CHILD IN YOUR GENERATIONS, HE THAT IS BORN IN THE HOUSE, (Now listen to this), HE THAT IS BORN IN THE HOUSE, OR BOUGHT WITH MONEY OF ANY STRANGER, WHICH IS NOT OF THY SEED.

Now that’s a very strong reading. And you notice, I placed emphasis on the verse there where He said, “If you bring someone into your house, then that one is got to be circumcised too.” You don’t have people outside of the covenant. See?

So, now He said this is an everlasting covenant. So, I mean, I want you to understand that this goes from the natural circumcision to the spiritual circumcision. Amen. And so, a lot of things can be said on this and I’m going to... I’ve got a lot of quotes, and I got a lot of things to talk about tonight. And so, we just don’t want to get in too big... I asked Brother Tiny if he’d let me have it a little early tonight, and he did. And I appreciate it. Because I don’t know if I’m going to get done, even at that.

In the 22nd Chapter of Genesis we find Abraham confronted with a test, a trial.

After these things, after God had made the covenant with him, after Isaac had been born, after the promised Son had come on the scene, after these things, it came to pass.

...THAT GOD DID TEMPT ABRAHAM, (now that means prove him), AND SAID UNTO HIM ABRAHAM: AND HE SAID, BEHOLD HERE I AM.

AND HE SAID, TAKE NOW THY SON, THINE ONLY SON ISAAC, WHOM THOU LOVEST, AND GET THEE (unto) THE LAND OF MORIAH; AND OFFER HIM THERE FOR A BURNT OFFERING UPON ONE OF THE MOUNTAINS WHICH I WILL TELL THEE OF.

Now watch this third verse. I just wonder what the Abraham seed would do today. Now listen, this is going to get touchy tonight. See? This is going to take all of the starch out. This is going to... You might as well get ready, because, I mean, we need to look straight down the line. We need to see whether we’re Abraham’s Seed or not. Amen.

Alright Now. So now let’s look, for this little title tonight, that we want to look at is “Abraham’s Blood Covenant With Jehovah.” “Abraham’s Blood Covenant With Jehovah.” Of course, this is a subtitle under the title, “Death Or Life Is Set Before Us.” Alright.

So we want to look at this and move as fast as we can and not taking no more time than I have to, make every bit of it count. I want to make every bit of it count. Alright. So we find now, here in the 17th Chapter of St. John, I mean 17th Chapter of Genesis, it changes the whole picture. It changes the whole picture because Abraham has been called back there in the 12th Chapter of Genesis, and he’s been called to go and leave his house, separate himself, which he didn’t do it. He partially obeyed God, but not all the way. Amen. So, God did never bless Abraham and the Son never did come to him, the Promise never was fulfilled until he carried out God’s orders. See?

You say, “Well everything was unconditional.” Yes it was. Unconditional. By God knowing that Abraham would carry it out. See? He knew that Abraham would carry out every bit of it, so He wasn’t concerned about whether he would do it or not. But He did not let the full blessing come upon Abraham until everything was separated just like He said, “Separate yourself from your kindred, from your house,” he said, “go!”

You know, sometimes we want to keep them right there, regardless of whether they got their rap music in there, regardless of whether they got all kinds of dresses, and everything else. And all kind of these - you want to keep them right there. Come on. You want this Message? Listen to me. What did God tell Abraham? He said, “If you buy one, everyone has got to be circumcised.Everyone has got to come under the covenant. And if you buy one with your money, and bring him in there, he’s got to be under the covenant.”

Get quiet now, because I’m telling you. I told you, if we want the Word of God, and we want to go in the rapture, we’re going to have to look at some things a little different. We’re going to have to look at some things a little different, children. Let me tell you something. We tolerate too much in our own home. We tolerate too much in our own family, that’s right, because this flesh and blood. Flesh and blood don’t stand in the presence of God. Did you hear that? Flesh and blood don’t stand in the presence of God. You’re going to have to separate yourself and be a separated people. You say, “You’re mad Brother Holmes.” No, I’m not mad. I’m just telling you the truth. I’m telling you the truth. Now you watch. Alright.

The blood covenant was the strongest covenant that could be. You can read on the blood covenant; you can read where men even in Africa and different places where they cut their wrists, and they take a glass of wine, and they bleed themselves in that wine. They mix their blood together and drink their blood, and then when they do that, they are one. They are not two, but they are one, and they’ll die for one another.That’s a covenant that they make between themselves.

And God has made a covenant here with Abraham. Right? He’s made a covenant here. Alright. And then this covenant is so strong, until it causes God to call Abraham His friend. Is that right? I’m going to give you three places in the Scripture, where God has mentioned Abraham, or the Word of God mentions Abraham as His friend. Alright. Now watch. James 2:23, Isaiah 48:8, II Chronicles 20, Verse 7. Those three places mentions Abraham as the friend of God. Alright.

Now. If you go back into the eastern countries today, they still recognize Abraham as the friend of God. You hear them - you read the history, and you’ll find out that they still do. He’s the only man in the Old Testament, that was ever called a friend of God. The only one in the Old Testament that was ever called the friend of God. Search it and see. You’ll never find another one that was called the friend of God in the Old Testament.

This covenant that God made with Abraham, it was to bring not only Abraham, but the Israelitish people under this covenant. It was an everlasting covenant. It was to bring Israel under that covenant. That’s the reason they’re fighting so hard right now, because they know that land belongs to them.

Clinton’s trying to go over there and tell them to split the land; it belongs to both of you. They ain’t going to do that, not unless they go against God’s Word. They know what’s theirs. Amen. And so they’re holding right on to it, Brother John. Amen. And, then, Clinton is trying to put his big foot in there, you know, and trying to get the Palestinians to have some of the land that was given to the promised Son of God, to the promised Son of Abraham. Amen. Just like, you know, the Pope tries to get in with all of his stuff, and try to get everybody coming together like the Episcopalians and the Lutherans now. They’ve joined hands now. And they’ve gone together officially now. They’ve gone together. Alright.

So what is going to be next? It’s six in one and half a dozen of another anyway. So all of them is one anyway. There’s nothing right but the Word of God. Not nothing right but the Word, no denomination. And anytime two brothers disagree on something there’s a denomination, amen, I don’t care who you are. If you disagree on the Word of God, two brothers... I love that song that these brethren sang here awhile ago. I almost shouted in there.I’ll tell you... How can two walked together except they be agreed. The Bible said they can’t do it. And they can’t do it. Amen. There’s no way for them to do it. There’s no way for them to walk together. Amen. They cannot be one; they cannot be one, unless they agree.

Now this thing that Abraham was to bring to his people, this covenant, it was to bring his nation which would eventually become the Hebrew, you know, the nation of the Hebrew. Alright. And then of course it would be the Covenant people, according to Genesis 17:7.You heard me read it. Then God gave to Abraham the way that this covenant would be sealed. Right? The covenant had to be sealed a certain way. And God told Abraham exactly how to do it, Verses 10 through 14, I read them. You’ve got to be circumcised. You’ve got to - not only that, but you’ve got to circumcise your ownself. See? You’ve got to circumcise all the children when they’re eight days old. Amen. See? You’ve got to bring all of it under this covenant, under this covenant.

Why we’re so slack today its pitiful. I mean, I’m talking to all of us. Brother John, I’m talking to all of us. We’re so slack until its pitiful and call us Royal Seed of Abraham. Amen. We ought to be praising God on our knees, on our face before God, thanking Him for keeping us in this serious hour. Amen. Instead of that, we’re reaching out to get everything we can of the world. And you know I”m telling you the truth. I mean we have to be careful. We’ve got to be careful. We’ll get more on us than we can handle, amen, and serve God. And I know, I mean I’ve got the best people in the world, right here. Right here, I’ve got the best people in the world. But we, if we’re not careful, we can deviate from that Word just a little bit. We’ve got to be careful. We have to be careful. In our homes we’ve got to be careful. Amen. Watch now.

Moving on down. In the 26th Verse of the 17th Chapter, which I did not read it tells us that the very same day that God gave this message to Abraham he did it. How about that? The very same day. He didn’t wait until tomorrow. He didn’t wait until next week. He did it that day. He arose up that day and did the thing. He was circumcised himself and all of the males were circumcised. Amen. That ought to make you women look a little better, and be more careful about the way you treat your husband. Ooooh! Huh? He didn’t ask them to be circumcised. Right. But you know Sarah respected Abraham so much she called him lord. Amen. She went along with the blessing. And as long as you’re under subjection to the Word of God, as your husband leads you, you are under that. But you kick out of the harness and see what happens. Amen. You’ll be like Hagar going across the field. Alright. I mean, I’m bringing - I told you I was going to bring out some things tonight I want you to look at. I want you to look at and see if I’m right. See if I’m right. Alright.

GENESIS 15:6 - And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Now watch. The friend of God, Abraham was. Alright. This covenant, after it was made between God and Abraham, then God saw fit to put Abraham to the test. Right? He saw fit to put him to the test. Alright? So, Abraham, in the 15th Chapter of Genesis and Verse 6, we find where Abraham believed in Jehovah. He believed, and the reason I’m saying Jehovah, because where that capital L, capital O, capital R, capital D, capital L..O..R..D, that is Jehovah, and Jehovah is dealing with the covenant. Alright. So now, and it was imputed unto him, or reckoned unto him for righteousness. Abraham believed God, and it was imputed or reckoned unto him for righteousness.

Alright. Now. If you take the Hebrew word there it means H-e-e-m-e-e-m. I guess that’s “Hee-meem,” “Heemeem.” Alright, and that translated into our language today, it means “believed in.” “Believed in.” He believed in God. He believed in Jehovah. And when you believe in someone, it simply means - what it meant in this particular place that this covenant was made unconditional. So actually it meant that it was an unqualified committal of oneself to another. Unqualified committal of oneself to another. Amen. Abraham had committed himself to God. God had committed Himself to Abraham. You say, “I don’t believe that.” O.k. We’re going to get down a little farther after awhile, and you’ll find out. And when we get in the quotes, you’ll see. Alright?

Now, let’s go on and look at Abraham’s testing now. And it came to pass, that God did prove Abraham, or tempted Abraham, or tested him. See? He tested him. He give him the test to see if he was what, you know, he was supposed to be. Amen. He’ll test you. He’ll put stuff out there, to see what you’re going to do about it. He put pretty little girls out there to you young boys to see what you’re going to do about it. Amen. Come on now. I’m talking to you. Amen. So we want to make sure that we have the Seal. Alright.

Now. “Take your son Abraham, take your only son.” He didn’t consider none of the other sons that Abraham had. “Take your only son, the one you love, that one that you love, that’s the promised Son.” Now if He had said to Abraham, “Abraham you give me your life.” Well, Abraham would’ve said, “Why sure, that’s easy, that’s easy.” But listen, if you know the way it is in the oriental countries, and over in the eastern countries about their sons. Brother, if you’ve studied how serious it is to give up one of their sons. That’s where Israel has such a hard time. They might kill a woman over there, and they might not do a whole about it. But you let them kill one of them soldiers and see what they do about it. They’ll retaliate so fast, until it would make your head swim. Because they look at those men. They look at those men. Amen. Alright. Now you watch. And God does too. You hear me? God looks at the woman under the man. Just like He looks at us under Christ. And if we’re not under Christ, He don’t look at us. And if you’re not under your husband, God’s not going to look at you. You hear me? If you’re not under..., God’ll turn his head. Ain’t no use for you to ask nothing. He’s not going to give you nothing. You say, “Well I’m under him, yes I am.” And then spit and fume at it. No you’re not. No. When you lay it all down, and you say, “You’re the head. What you say goes.” Amen. Did you hear me? I mean it’s serious. We’ve hit at it. Now I’m telling you what I see in the Word of God. That’s what this series is, what I see in the Word of God. Alright. So I want you to understand, this is not my only idea. It’s what I’m pulling from the Message. It’s exactly what I’m pulling from the Message.

Abraham had to have a surrendered life to God to promise his sons, to give... And notice, he didn’t wait until tomorrow. When God told him what to do, he immediately carried out His desire. Why? Because they had a covenant. See? It wouldn’t have been a hard thing for him to say, “Well, I...” You know, If God said, “I want you to give me your life, now. I’m going to take your life.” Why Abraham would’ve said, “Lord, that’s alright,” like Paul did, you know. Paul said, “I’m now ready to be offered. The time of my departure is at hand. I’ve fought a good fight, I’ve kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness. Not for me only, but for everyone that lovest His appearing.” Paul was ready to go. He said, “For me to live is Christ; for me to die is gain.” Amen. He was ready.

But his son! The only son, that God gave him at a hundred years old. “Abraham take him up yonder and kill him! And burn him!” Huh? Why we can’t even give up some little puny things, without complaining about it. Am I telling you the truth? Is that right? Little things. We find ourselves complaining about so many little things. If we’re not careful, we’re going to be complaining when the time comes for the change.

Paul said, “I have learned to be content in whatever state that I’m in.” He said, “I’ve fought with beasts at Ephesus.” Huh? “I know what it is to be hungry. I know what it is to be full. But I have learned, in whatever state I am in, to be content.” Amen. “I have learned that. To be content in whatever state I am in.” Amen. that’s a Christian, isn’t it? Yes sir, that’s a Christian. Alright.

So now. Will this blood covenant hold? Will this blood covenant hold for Abraham in this awful thing that he’s asked to do? Is it going to hold for him? See? That’s the next thing we want to know, isn’t it? Well, Abraham showed himself again to be faithful to God, to be His friend. He was ready. He was willing to do what God told him to do.Alright. Now, you ought to in this little area right here, you ought to jot this Scripture down. I’m not going to take time to go read it. But I want you to jot down Hebrews 11:17-19, 17-19, and speaking of Abraham, in this particular case. I read that a couple of times just to make sure and I could almost quote it, but I won’t do it.

But the angel of Jehovah called unto Abraham. In Genesis 22:15-17 Abraham had already bound his son. He had already put him on the woodpile, and he drawed his knife back and pulled his hair out of his eyes to take his life. That’s how far Abraham went. He intended fully to carry out God’s will. He intended fully to do it. If it took everything that he had. How is he going to be the father of nations, now if he kills this boy, because this is the Seed that the promise has come through. This is the promise. This is the promised Seed. How is he going to do it? He never staggered at the promise of God through unbelief. He knew that if he went through with it... If God cured his dead sperm life, put a new wound in his wife to receive his seed, and the natural seed, Isaac, come as a supernatural birth; He knew that if God could do that, that he was willing, and able, and would raise him up and they’d walk back down that mountain together. Amen. He was just as confident of that. And where are we tonight when it comes to the test, when it comes to the testing time? Where are we at? Are we ready for the test? Are we ready? Are we ready for the final test before the rapture? I mean for the climax of it?

He took everything Job had, before Job saw the revelation. You hear me? Before Job saw... We get it mentally, but what about spiritually? Amen. We can get a revelation mentally, and not want to give everything up, when we got the revelation. But when we get the revelation spiritually in our soul, the change, we’re willing to give it up. This is hard. I know it is. I know it is. You know, what are we doing? We’re dressing. We are dressing for something. Amen. I mean we’re getting ready for these things, and we need to look at them. This is what I see in it. This is exactly what I see. Alright?

Hebrews. You want to read that. And then in the 22nd Chapter, 15-17, the angel spoke to Abraham, and called and said the second time to him. Said, “Abraham, Abraham,” out of heaven, “Abraham.” Said, “Here I am.” And then in this particular chapter here, He said, “by Myself, I have sworn. By Myself. Abraham, I have sworn by Myself that the covenant between you and Me will stand.” Now what is that? What is He saying? What He’s saying is, Brother Richard, in reality, is this. You’re a smart man. You know what He’s talking about. Watch now. Look. Let me tell you something. He’s saying, “If I fail, then you are My ruler. You have overcome me. I swear by Myself that I’ll stand by this covenant that we have made, and you have sealed it with your own blood. And if I fail in one point, Abraham; if I fail in one point, I’ll be your slave.” That’s exactly what He was saying. “I’ll be your slave. I swear by Myself that I’ll keep this covenant. I will not fail. What about you, Abraham? What about your seed, Abraham?” Amen. See? So here we go. Alright. “I swear by Myself.” Now, it must not fail. Alright. It did not fail. It won’t fail. “I am Jehovah who keepeth covenants.” Amen. Oh I like that, don’t you?

Now look here. Let’s get in some quotes. Oh my. We going to try to get them in here now. I’ve been in here about a half an hour now; a little bit longer, and we said a lot now. Let’s let the Prophet say something. Alright? Let’s let the prophet say something. Alright? Now look.

Now, “He Swore By Himself”, in Jeffersonville, in 1954. “He Swore By Himself.”

“NOW, OH, THIS MAY KIND OF (uproot) , AND PULL UP, AND SHOVE OUT, AND TAKE OUT, BUT LET’S LOOK IT RIGHT SMACK IN THE FACE AND SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.” (He must be going to say something.)

Well, he said, “We’ll just turn to it and read it in the 22nd Chapter.” And so he read it. Alright. So he goes on to say now, and I’m going to read it for you:

AND SAID, BY MYSELF HAVE I SWORN, SAITH THE LORD, (That’s capital L, capital O, capital R, capital D, Jehovah. “I have sworn saith Jehovah.”) BECAUSE THOU HAST DONE THIS THING (Thou hast done this thing that I have commanded you to do, you’ve carried it out.) AND HAST NOT WITHHELD THINE ONLY SON: (Not withheld thine only son.)

THAT IN BLESSING I WILL BLESS THEE, AND IN MULTIPLYING I’LL MULTIPLY THEE, THY SEED SHALL BE AS THE STARS OF THE HEAVEN, AND AS THE SANDS UPON THE SEA SHORE AND THY SEED SHALL POSSESS THE GATES OF (the) ENEMIES;’”

Amen. “Now, if I don’t carry that out, Abraham, then I’ll become your servant. I have swore by Myself; If I’m not able to do it, then I’ll surrender to you.” Because he had sworn by Himself. He could not swear by nobody else. No higher, there’s no other way. Alright.

“GOD SWORE IT BY HIMSELF, HALLELUJAH. IF THAT DON’T MAKE A FELLOW FEEL LIKE HOLLERING, HALLELUJAH. (To think that He would even put His ownself on the line. Amen.) YOU ARE DEAD...” (See? “If you can’t shout a little bit over that,” he said.) He said:

OH, GOD (He) SAID, ABRAHAM, BECAUSE YOU HAVE DID THIS, NOT WHAT SOMEBODY... (had did), BUT BECAUSE YOU HAVE DID THIS. BY FAITH YOU WALKED, AND I’VE HONORED THAT THING THERE, (and) NOT HONOR WORKS ANYMORE; I’LL NOT HONOR THIS. (I’ll not honor that, but) I’LL HONOR (your) FAITH. (See?) AND BECAUSE YOU DID THIS WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT WOULD BE THE OUTCOME. (He didn’t know what would be the outcome, but by faith, he accepted the outcome. Not knowing what it would be.) I’VE SAVED YOU. I’LL SAVE YOUR SEED. I’LL TAKE AN OATH BY MYSELF. AMEN. ‘AND YOUR SEED SHALL POSSESS THE GATES OF THEIR ENEMY.’ AMEN. THAT SETTLES IT TO ME. ...THAT’S ALL THAT HAS TO BE DONE.”

“That’s all of it, right there,” Brother Branham said. Alright. Brother Branham preached a message in Bloomington, Illinois, in 1961. “Abraham And His Seed.” He said:

“WHEN WE KNOW THIS, THAT THE ONLY THING (that) WE HAVE TO DO TO INHERIT ANY OF GOD’S PROMISES IS TO STAY PUT ON GOD’S WORD. (That’s all of it now. That’s not just what you want. That’s it. That’s it. That’s the Word. Alright. Now.) LET NOTHING SHAKE YOU FROM IT... (Huh? Strong ain’t it? Let nothing shake you from it.)

The junctions. What is a junction? You come to a stop sign. You’ve got to do something. You come to a junction. You going to make a decision. You’ve got to make a decision. See? Alright. Now.

“...AND SEE IF GOD KEPT HIS WORD LETTER-BY-LETTER.” (See? See if God kept His Word in all of these things letter-by-letter.)

“NOW, ABRAHAM WE KNOW THAT THERE’S ONLY ONE WAY THAT WE CAN BE SAVED AND THAT IS BEING IN THE COVENANT (Only one way that we can be saved. That’s being in the covenant) WITH ABRAHAM, BECAUSE IT WAS MADE TO ABRAHAM. BUT THE BIBLE SAID, ‘WE BEING IN CHRIST, (We being in Christ,) WE BEING DEAD IN CHRIST, (we) TAKE ON ABRAHAM’S SEED AND ARE HEIRS WITH ABRAHAM...”

Are heirs. Whatever God gave Abraham, He gave it to his seed. And He swore that it would come to pass. Amen. He swore that He would stand by it. That He’s good for it. Alright.

“...IS THAT RIGHT? NOW, CHRIST IS THE ROYAL SEED OF ABRAHAM. OUT OF ABRAHAM COME ISAAC, OUT OF ISAAC COME JACOB, OUT OF JACOB COME JOSEPH, ... JOSEPH ...FORTH ON DOWN, DAVID, (and so forth) ...TILL FINALLY THE ROYAL SEED WAS BORN WHICH WAS CHRIST, AND IN CHRIST MADE ABRAHAM, THE FATHER OF ALL NATIONS. AND THE ABRAHAMIC COVENANT IS CONFIRMED TO THE PEOPLE, OR GIVEN TO THE PEOPLE UNCONDITIONALLY.” (Absolutely unconditionally.)

“NOW, YOU READ NOW IN THE 12TH CHAPTER. (of Genesis.) HE MADE THE COVENANT WITH ABRAHAM UNCONDITIONALLY. HE CALLED ABRAHAM. I HEARD PEOPLE SAY, ‘I’VE SOUGHT GOD, AND I’VE SOUGHT GOD, AND I’VE SOUGHT GOD’. (He said), YOU’RE MISTAKEN. (You never sought God. You have never sought God.) GOD SOUGHT YOU, AND SOUGHT YOU, AND SOUGHT YOU. (Amen. God went looking for you. See? He was...) IT WASN’T YOU SEEKING GOD; IT’S GOD SEEKING YOU. WHY, THE VERY BEGINNING PROVED IT. ADAM, IT OUGHT TO HAVE BEEN ADAM (that was) HOLLERING... (Lord) I’VE SINNED...” (Have mercy on me.)

What did he do? Run and hid. Right? God went calling for Adam. Seeking him. “Adam. where are you?” “I’m here.” He said, “Oh I hid myself, because I’m naked.” Oh boy. Religious coverings won’t get it. No sir. No sir. We have got to have the genuine. We’ve got to have the genuine to make it. Amen. Not because mama’s got it. Not because daddy’s got it. Not because the preachers or deacons got it. But you got to have it for yourself. They had to come into that covenant. Then, they had to do that themselves. They had to be circumcised themselves. Amen. Alright.

“BUT IT WAS GOD SAYING, “ADAM, ADAM, WHERE ART THOU?” SEE?...” (Alright. Now.)

Why, you couldn’t go out and tell a pig now, say, “I’m going to put you a.pretty bonnet on. I’m going to put you a pretty little yellow dress on and all, and you stay out of that mudhole. Boy, don’t you go in that mudhole.” Now you’re wasting your time and money. What’s he going to do? He’ll say, “Why you’re crazy. That’s my home. I’m a scavenger. I will eat slop as long as I live. I’m a pig. I’m going to wallow in the mudhole as long as I live.” Because you can’t make nothing out of him but a pig. See? See?

But to the seed of Abraham, they got caught up in a mess. And God comes calling for them. Amen. Where are you Gerald? Where are you Kenan? Where are you Richard? It’s hard to kick against the pricks. It’s hard. That’s what Paul said. And when He comes and calls, He’s long suffering. He’ll put up with a lot. But one day, He’s going to show you how it is. And He’s going to say you’re going to come my way. Amen. You’re coming my way, because I called you, I paid a price for you. You belong to me, amen, and you’re coming my way. Amen. You’re going to quit your fussing. You’re going to quit your carrying on like you do. You’re going to quit your disagreeing with the Word. You’re going to come face to face, because you’re mine. Amen. Oh, He’s going to do it. Yes sir, He’ll do it. Amen. That’s what I like about it. See? That’s the thing. Yes... oh my.

“Jehovah Jireh,” in Grass Valley, California, in 1962, Brother Branham said:

That was with Adam. If you don’t eat of that tree, you can live forever, but if you eat of that tree, you’re going to die. See? That was the covenant. So what did Adam do? He ate of the tree and died, didn’t he? Alright. Now.

“...AND HE BROKE IT. THEN GOD MADE A COVENANT WITH NOAH; THAT WAS THE NOAH COVENANT...” (Well what did Noah do? Noah broke it. Amen. You know he did.)

You say, “Well, why did you say what you did a while ago? Well, we’ll see why, after awhile. Just stay with me. Don’t go nowhere. Amen. Don’t let your mind ramble now. Alright? Just hold your faith right there. Alright? Unconditional covenant.

“...MY. NEVER ENDING, THAT WAS ALL OF IT; THREE, PERFECT. (Three is perfect. He gave one to) ADAM, (one to) NOAH, (one to) ABRAHAM. (Amen. Alright.) NOW (watch.) THAT’S THE REASON WE ARE ABRAHAM’S CHILDREN, THAT COVENANT CANNOT END, (it) NEVER END, BECAUSE IT IS UNCONDITIONAL. IT ISN’T BECAUSE YOU DO SOMETHING. IT’S BECAUSE GOD DID SOMETHING. NOT BECAUSE YOU CHOSE GOD; GOD CHOSE YOU...”

Brother, you know that Jesus told His disciples in Luke, I believe it, let’s see, 10:49, I believe it is. Where He said, “You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you might bring forth life.” See? Amen. Alright. Now watch. So, it wasn’t God... it wasn’t you choosing God; it was God choosing.

And then, on “God’s Only Provided Place of Worship”. See. There’s only one place that you can worship God. And God spreads that tent in every age. He spreads a tent for people to worship in every age. He spreaded that tent in Luther’s day. He spread it coming back out of Catholicism. He spreaded that tent for people to worship in Luther’s day. What was it? Justification. That was the tent. Alright. Then, in Wesley’s day, that tent folded up of Luther. That tent folded up. It was no more good. So then, He spread another tent, which was sanctification. Alright. And that went for awhile until He got ready to open up another tent. And then, when He spread another tent, the Wesleyan tent folded up. It was no more good. I mean, you couldn’t stay there. He was carrying you farther. See? You couldn’t stay there and get anything from God. See? Because He had come another step. He’d put up another tent. Now you’ve already come through justification; sanctification. What are you going to do with it? Huh? Are you going on into this tent? Or, are you going to be cut off? See? See? See what I’m saying? Alright.

Now. If you come into this tent of the Pentecost age, then you’re going to receive the Holy Ghost. Is that right? The gifts of the Spirit. Is that right? That’s what it was. Alright. That typed the upper room. Alright. But then there come a time when that was going to close. And that tent was going to fold. And that teaching over there, like they had it there, whatever was left over, Brother Branham said, “It stunk.” It become carrion. Well, if you want to go and eat on the dead carcass, you can go on over there. They’ll teach you how to speak in tongues. They’ll teach you how to prophecy. They’ll teach you how to do all these things. See? But they’re dead as dead can be. There is no life. The tent’s already folded. He’s already spread another tent. When He spread this tent, then that is the final tent. The final tent is when Christ, in the 10th Chapter of Revelation, come down from heaven with a book in His hand. Amen. It was a book of redemption. Amen. And everbody’s name was in that book. The redemption plan was over. It was claiming time then. Amen. So He comes down to claim what He’s redeemed. And that’s what’s going on right now. You understand what I’m saying? Alright. I know I’m getting ahead of myself, and I can’t help it. I got to say something. Amen. I got to quit reading quotes once in awhile and say something.

“...I HAVE SAVED YOU, AND YOUR SEED AFTER HIM. AMEN. THAT’S A TYPE OF CALVARY, NOT THE TYPE OF ADAM’S COVENANT; IT’S A ABRAHAMIC COVENANT.” (See?)

Only one place. So if you want to worship God, you ain’t going to worship Him under the Pentecostal tent, because it don’t exist no more. That one don’t exist. It folded up. He opened another one. So you got to come in under the Seven Thunders. You got to come in under the Revealed Body Word, of the Son of Man, if you’re going to worship God today. That’s the only place that you can find.

“THEN IF THERE’S ONLY ONE PLACE THAT GOD MEETS MAN, WE HAD BETTER BE VERY CAREFUL. (If there’s only one place God meets him.) NOW, LET’S LAY ASIDE OUR TRADITIONS THIS MORNING....”

Now what about that tonight? Let’s lay aside our traditions. Huh? What is a tradition? It’s something that people act out thinking that it’s the Word. See? See? It’s a substitute, really, for the Word. Amen. It’s a substitute for the Word. See? That’s a tradition. See? Jesus called it right, when He told the Pharisees about keeping those traditions instead of the Word of God. You have made these traditions which are of no avail. They won’t do nothing for you. Traditions won’t do nothing but separate you from God. Amen.

And if you’ll study and think about it, you’ll see why that the woman has such hold today; it’s traditional. Yes sir. The law is on her side. See? Amen. And she knows it. She knows she can take your pants off in court. She knows she can take everything you got. That’s right. She knows that. The law is on her side. See? But not God. Not unless you’re under that man. No sir. You got to be under him. And if you don’t have a husband, you’d better find you a pastor that you can put your confidence in. And if you don’t have confidence in your pastor, you’d better find one that you can have confidence in. You hear me? You’d better find one that you can have confidence in, because you ain’t going nowhere unless you have somebody that you can confide in. That’s right. Amen. Alright. Now I’m saying some things strong, I’m saying it just exactly like I see it. This is the way Brother Branham put it. Alright. Now you watch.

“...BE VERY SURE THAT WE FIND THAT...PLACE. (that place of worship) BECAUSE GOD HAS SAID HERE, HE WILL NOT RECEIVE YOU IN ANY OTHER PLACE. ANY OTHER CHURCH, HE WON’T RECEIVE YOU. ONLY IN HIS CHURCH...”

Where’s His church? That’s where His presence is. Where is His presence. It’s where His Word is. That’s the only place you can come and worship. In the place where God’s Word is. Alright.

“NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY... (Why, you’d say), IF I’M SINCERE? NO.”

“REMEMBER, JESUS TALKED TO SOME SINCERE PEOPLE, THE WORSHIPPERS OF HIS DAY, AND HE SAID, ‘IN VAIN YOU WORSHIP ME.’ TRUE, GENUINE WORSHIP FROM THE BOTTOM OF THEIR HEARTS: ‘IN VAIN DO YOU WORSHIP ME, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINE THE (traditions of men, the) COMMANDMENTS OF MEN OR THEIR DENOMINATIONAL CREED.’ (Very) SINCERE,( but wrong. See?) REVERENTLY, JUST AS RELIGIOUS AS THEY CAN BE, AND THAT WASN’T NEW JUST WITH THE PHARISEES. CAIN... (done the same thing. See? When him) AND ABEL (come)...”

He did the same thing. He offered a sacrifice just like Abel did, but it was of no avail. Because he had no revelation. He wasn’t in the Word. See? He wasn’t in the Word. So God didn’t accept him. No sir. His sacrifice was wrong. It wasn’t the right sacrifice. See? So.

“...THE FIRST TWO WORSHIPPERS THAT WAS BORN NATURAL BIRTH (See? What happened? Oh) ABSOLUTELY CAME IN (with) THE SAME ATTITUDE.” (Of worship. Amen. Alright.)

Now, I want to go on a little farther. After he received the promised Son... Abraham received the promised son, then he’s told to do away with it. Offer him as a sacrifice. See? He believed God, Abraham believed God. And God said, no doubt, He told Satan... Now listen.

“...NO DOUBT, GOD TOLD SATAN, ‘I CAN PROVE TO YOU (Now this is on “Victory Day,” 1963, in Sierra Vista, Arizona. I can prove to you) HE LOVES ME.’ (Satan, I’m going to prove it to you.) ‘HE BELIEVES THAT PROMISE BECAUSE I TOLD HIM THAT.’ (See? Because I told him. He’s depending upon My Word.) SO, HE TOOK HIS OWN SON UP TO THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, TIED HIS HANDS BEHIND HIM - ...THE DAY GOD SAID SO.”

That same day he started, it took him three days to get there, about ninety miles. They traveled about thirty miles a day. Alright.

“LITTLE ISAAC GOT SUSPICIOUS, YOU KNOW. HE SAID (in) (GENESIS 22), HE SAID, ‘FATHER...’”

(Now) “...HERE’S THE WOOD (Hey, look.) AND HERE IS THE ALTAR AND EVERYTHING. BUT WHERE IS THE LAMB FOR THE SACRIFICE?...”

He’s suspicious; he’s about eighteen years old and he’d done everything his father told him. Listen, boys. Don’t outgrow your father’s advice, if he’s a child of God. You get to know too much. You don’t want to listen to nobody. And the first thing you know, you get out there and you find out that it’s not what you thought it was out there. You’ll find that out one day, if you’re a seed of God. So the best thing you can do is to stay close with the seed of God. Amen. Alright. Because that’s where the blessings are. See? So now.

“...HE BEGIN TO FEEL KINDA’ FUNNY. (There was no sacrifice there. And) ...WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT? ...WE’VE LEFT OFF SOMETHING, (daddy.)”

“DON’T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE WHAT YOU THINK (that) YOU’VE LEFT OFF. (Watch now) YOU’VE LEFT OFF THE FELLOWSHIP OF EVERYTHING ELSE. (When you have left off the fellowship of everything else but the fellowship of God, you’re getting somewhere then.) WELL, YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR CARD PARTIES...”

You know. You got to have these little things. You got to go over to a certain mall, and roam around, young people. What’s over there? What is it over there, that you go for? Would you tell me? Come on, now tell me. Is it? What would put in your mind, to go way off over there somewhere to some mall, and romp around, and look at them naked women and everything over there? Huh? See? I mean, is there any good in it? I’m talking to you children. I’m talking to you. You may not listen to me, but I’ll be gone one day and you’ll go back and listen to these words, and say, “He told us.” You watch and see. Amen.

You know. you see, I’ve got to go watch a ballgame. I’ve got to go watch a race. I’ve got to go do this. I got to do that. While you’re doing that, you know what you could be doing? You could be getting closer to God. Amen. You’re not going to get closer to God watching Rusty Wallace risk his life, around that racetrack. You’re not going to get closer to God watching that man hit another homerun. You’re not going to get closer to God doing that. You’ll get closer to God in His Word. In His Word, is where you’ll get close. And that’s not in His Word.! Do you want Him? Then you’re going to come on His terms. Not on yours. Amen. You’re going to come on His terms. Alright? Amen. Oh boy! I mean, it’s close, ain’t it? Alright. Watch now. “You ain’t left off nothing,” he said. Brother Branham said:

“...YOU AIN’T LEFT OFF NOTHING. GO ON, OBEY THE WORD (SEE?) (Obey the Word;) THAT’S ALL. JUST OBEY THE WORD. YOU AIN’T LEFT OFF NOTHING. JUST OBEY THE WORD.”

“HE SAID, ‘GOD SAID, “TAKE HIM UP HERE,” (Well,) HE’D GET UP HERE, ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, (now, and) I’M SUPPOSED TO DO SOMETHING (up here.) WHEN I THERE I’LL DO IT.” (When I get there.) SO HE GOT UP THERE, AND TIED HIS HANDS, (He) LAID HIM UPON THE ALTAR, LIKE THAT. ISAAC NEVER MURMURED...”

Whew! 18, 20 years old. Never said a word, except, “Daddy, where’s he at? Where’s the sacrifice?” Why, he knew by now, that he must be that. Because he‘d done bound his hands, and put him on the pile of wood, on the altar. So he figured out, Brother David, “I must be that one. I must be the lamb that he’s going to offer.” Amen. And he meant to do it. He was obedient to his father. Right there.

“...OBEDIENT. (Amen.) ...TYPE OF CHRIST....”

Now what kind of life do you have in you? Are you going to stay with me tonight? I’ve got some so good of quotes. I want you to stay with me tonight. Amen.

“...THEN WHEN HE PULLED THE KNIFE FROM (the) SCABBARD, AND PULLED HIS HAIR BACK OUT OF HIS FACE TO TAKE HIS LIFE, THAT WAS ABRAHAM’S V-DAY...”

When the angel of the Lord spoke, and said, “Abraham.” He said, “here I am.” “Stay your hand, boy. Look over there.” Jehovah Jireh come on the scene. He said, “There is a little fellow over there waiting. Cut the strings. Loose the boy. You would have done it. And I know you would have done it. Amen. But you don’t have to do it, Abraham. You have stood the test. Amen. You’ve stood the test.” Oh, my. God help us. I hope some day He can say, “Boy you’ve stood the test.” I want to hear that. “You’ve stood it.” Amen. I don’t want to fail, do you? No sir, I don’t want to fail. If I fail in one thing, you see I’m guilty. He might take me some places that I would rather go another way. But you see, that’s not my thinking. That’s His. See?

I have no way of telling people whether they’re called to the ministry or not. They know themself. They know that. When God calls a man... I had a man here a few years ago, to come and tell me. Said, “Brother Holmes,” he said, “I feel that my call is greater than a trustees. I feel that my call is to be a deacon.” I said, “Brother, if you feel that way...” And I prayed with him. If you feel that way, brother, then you need to be a deacon. If a man comes to me and tells me, “I got a call in my life,” then what am I supposed to do as a pastor? Am I supposed to say, “You ain’t got that call?” No. I’m supposed to say, “Listen, brother, I’ll stand behind you with everything I’ve got. Everything. My prayers and everything. I’ll stand with you brother, because it’s between you and God.” Amen. You see what I’m saying? Alright. So, be careful sometimes, alright? Now let’s go on, now. And, alright. I mean - hey, there’s so much. Watch now. On “The Token”. Huh...Now this is the thing. On “The Token”, at Shreveport, Brother Branham said:

“ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS IMPUTED UNTO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. (And this is the first time I’ve read this from the quotes. And) THEN GOD GAVE HIM THE SEAL OF CIRCUMCISION AS A TOKEN THAT HE HAD RECEIVED HIS FAITH. THERE IS THE GOSPEL.”

See? Just saying that you believe God, is not enough. You’ve got to have something to identify that. See? Alright.

“NOW, WHEN WE CLAIM THAT WE BELIEVE GOD, THEN GOD WILL IDENTIFY OUR FAITH BY GIVING US THE TOKEN OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS, (and) THAT (finishes) THE WORK FOR US AT CALVARY; THEN OUR LIFE IS IN HIS. THE LIFE OF OUR SACRIFICE (then) IS IN US.” (The life of our sacrifice then is in us.)

“IT COULDN’T COME BY THE CHEMICAL BLOOD OF THE LAMB, BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING THERE TO COME BACK; (it was) JUST A CHEMISTRY. YOU COULDN’T TRANSFER THE BLOOD INTO (a) HUMAN BEING. IT WON’T WORK, AN ANIMAL BLOOD WON’T GO INTO A HUMAN’S BLOOD. SO THE CHEMICALS WOULDN’T WORK, SHOWING (that) IT WAS THE FORESHADOW.” (See? The foreshadow. Alright. Still on the token.)

The life that was in the blood becomes the Token. Brother Branham said, “Circumcision was that token, that to God that Abraham had accepted the faith.” See? And then that circumcision; it showed that him and God had agreed. They had sealed the covenant. Alright.

“...AND NOW, WHEN WE IDENTIFY OURSELVES IN HIS DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION BY BELIEVING ON HIM AND BEING BAPTIZED UNTO HIS DEATH, (unto His) BURIAL, (unto His) RESURRECTION... WHEN WE RISE UP, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THERE TO GIVE US A TOKEN, A ETERNAL TOKEN WRITTEN ACROSS YOUR HEART, SOUL, MAKEUP, MIND, BODY, EVERYTHING ELSE, THAT YOU ARE A SEPARATED PERSON FROM UNBELIEF...”

Amen. Don’t sound so bad when he says it, does it? You know better than to kick against that, don’t you? Amen. Alright. Now.

Amen. Oh my! I got to go on a little bit. Alright. On the “Patriarch Abraham,” in Bakersfield, California.

“WE FIND OUT AT TWENTY-FIVE YEARS LATER, (now) NO CHILDREN...” (God had give him a promise. So now, little Isaac come.)

“THEN AFTER LITTLE ISAAC HAD COME ON THE SCENE, THEN WE FIND OUT THAT GOD GAVE HIM A DOUBLE TEST. HE SAID,... (now) AFTER BEING NOW ABOUT A HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN YEARS OLD OR TWENTY, ABRAHAM WAS, HE SAID, ‘NOW, I WANT YOU TO TAKE THIS, YOUR ONLY SON, AND TAKE HIM UP TO THE MOUNTAIN (there) THAT (I’ve shown) YOU, AND THERE OFFER HIM ON (the) MOUNTAIN FOR A SACRIFICE.’ IN OTHER WORDS, DESTROY EVERY EVIDENCE THAT HE HAD THAT THE PROMISE WOULD BE FULFILLED...” (That he would be the father of many nations.)

Go and destroy the evidence of it. Amen. That’s what He told him to do. Well, here he went.

“...ABRAHAM SAID, ‘I RECEIVED HIM AS ONE FROM THE DEAD, (I received him as one from the dead.) AND I’M FULLY PERSUADED THAT HE IS ABLE TO RAISE HIM UP FROM THE DEAD.”

Amen. He didn’t die. I believe that He’ll raise him up from the dead, and my son and I is going over here on this hill to worship. And we’ll be back. We’re coming back down that hill. Amen.

“THAT’S THE PEOPLE NOW, THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, (Uh oh! That’s the seed of Abraham) BECAUSE HE RAISED US FROM THE DEAD. WE WERE DEAD IN SIN AND TRESPASSES, AND HE WHO IS ABLE TO CHANGE MY MIND, CHANGE MY THOUGHTS, CHANGE MY NATURE, (He’s able to do that.) CHANGE ME ALL OVER, HE CAN DO AS HE PLEASES. WHATEVER HE SAYS, I BELIEVE IT’S THE TRUTH, AND EVERY SEED OF ABRAHAM BELIEVES THE SAME THING.”

Whew! Amen. That’s right. I get to searching that sometimes, Brother Gerald, and I say, “Lord, do I believe it all? Am I a seed? Do I believe everything that You said in there? If I don’t, Lord, pull me in line now. Show me what it is. Take that wrinkle out. I don’t want it. I want to see0 clearly.” See? I want to look in this looking glass, and I want to see my reflection, Brother John. I want to see me in there. In that Word. I want to see me, Brother Kenan, in that Word. I want to see me, Brother T.B., in the Word. Amen. If He said, “Do this,” I want to see me doing that. See? Amen. Alright.

Prophets was usually herdsmen, you know, and they dressed in sheepskins... And I going to turn on over here now. I’ve got to get over to another thing here, and then, I’m trying to pull it together now, so I’m skipping two pages of quotes, and I’m going over here on “Abraham And His Seed,” in 1961. Now, I... I read a quote from that awhile ago. That’s in Bloomington, Illinois. I read a quote from it awhile. I’m going to read another one now.

You will never go and see a grapevine with fifteen branches on it, and one of them bearing one kind of fruit; and another one bearing another kind, if they all came out from the vine. Every one of them is bearing grapes. Every Holy Ghost filled person tonight, believes all of the Word, the full Word, or they don’t get it. That’s what I just read. He said, the full obedience to the full Word of God, entitles you to the token and nothing else. Amen. Alright. Now. So, if you’re looking for fruit, you’re going to find it, if you find the vine. If you find the vine, every branch on that vine is going to bear the same fruit. Amen. What’s the vine? The Word. Alright.
