What the Prophet Said about 'Marriage and Divorce'   pt5

Well, I think this will be the last one on this series unless I get some questions I can post and answer by God's grace. I'm feeling led to move into predestination next.

So be praying for me that I say what God wants said and not one word of my own finds it into these articles.
WARNING: What you are about to read is strong meat. It is meant for those that believe that Bro. William Branham was the prophet to us in this day and to those who hang onto his words as the scripture for our day. Which they are.

MARRIAGE.AND.DIVORCE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-13  SUNDAY_  65-0221M

225    Matthew 5:32. I want you to notice here, to support this same idea of "one" and "many." Matthew, thirty-... I think it's Matthew 5:32, 31 to begin with.

It has been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

226    That's Jesus speaking, the One said, "from the beginning." Now watch.

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving... the cause of fornications, causes her to commit adultery; see, whosoever shall put away his wife, saving... the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: (why? she'll marry again) and whosoever marrieth her that is divorced committed adultery.

227      See, she has got a living husband, so no man can marry her. Care what she does and who she is, she's got a living husband, there is no grounds for her at all. But, it's not, for him. "Causes her," not him. Get it? You have to make the Word run in continuity. See, nothing saying he couldn't, but she can't. See, "causes her," not him. That's exactly what the Bible says, "causes her." It is not stated against him to remarry, but "her." Why? Christ in the type.

 -------------------------------

Now when the prophet preached Marriage and Divorce he didn’t change the Bible. He only magnified it to show the whole truth. The message says that a man can be married again but a woman can’t and it’s laid out very plainly. But that’s also the part he magnified.

Let's start with what I feel is one command that the prophet gave us that sums up Marriage, Remarriage and Divorce very nicely.

MARRIAGE.AND.DIVORCE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-13  SUNDAY_  65-0221M

284      This is an awful strong thing, I didn't know how to bring it out. What will I do, when I got men and women sitting in my congregation, some of them has been married twice or three times? Good man and good women, all mixed up! What done it? False teaching, exactly, not waiting on the Lord.

285    "What God has joined together, let no man put asunder." Not what man joined together; what "God" joined together! When you've got a direct revelation from God, that's your wife, and the same thing, that's yours, the rest of your life. See? But what man joins together, anybody can put apart. But what God joins together, no man better dare to touch it. "Whatsoever God joins together," He said, "let no man put asunder." Not what some half-drunk magistrate or something else put together, or some backslidden preacher with a bunch of creeds in a book, that would let them do anything in the world, and the Word of God laying right there. See? I'm talking about what God joined together.

 ------------------------------

I could quit right here and have the whole question answered.

1  When you’ve “got direct revelation from God” who your wife or husband is, then that is the end of it.

2  It doesn’t matter what man or dogma or creed or world system joined you together in the world.

You sisters out there! If you are standing on God’s Word then you are a new creation and a new creation that CANNOT have a sinful past. When you are born again God took you back to a virgin again.

Oh, you say, "Brother you left the message just then."  No, let me read it to you.

FROM.THAT.TIME_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  60-0302

E-19    I said, "A lovely, young woman like you. Don't you desire to be married, and have babies like all mothers do, and so forth?"

She said, "I would love to, sir. But look at me, what could I offer anyone?"

I said, "You've got one thing you could offer."

She said, "What's that?"

I said, "Your soul to Jesus Christ."

She said, "Sir, He wouldn't receive it."

I said, "Oh, yes, He will."

Said, "How do you know He would? I tried."

I said, "Yes, you're just turning pages, but you really come to Him..."

She said, "What could He do with me?"

I said, "Make a lady out of you."

Said, "Not me, I'm too far gone."

I said, "He can take you back to the time when you was a virgin, innocent girl. The Blood of Jesus Christ is sufficient and powerful to transform the vilest sinner to a Blood-washed saint, guiltless before God."

She said, "I've tried that so many times."

FROM.THAT.TIME_  DAWSON.CREEK.BC  SATURDAY_  61-0520

E-34    That's the way drunkards, and--and cigarette addicts, and--and immorals... It's all the power of Satan that has the people in the grip. And they can't break it. But there's One Who can break it. Uh-huh.

And I said, "Here in your heart, you are telling me that you'd love to be married and have a husband." I said, "You're a beautiful girl. You'd make a real sweetheart for some little tired preacher of God's."

She said, "I couldn't promise a preacher, no one else, nothing in this condition, Mr. Branham."

I said, "But I want to tell you something. Your sins may be as black and smutty as hell, but I know there is a fountain filled with Blood, drawn from Emmanuel's veins, where sinners plunged beneath the flood, lose all their guilty stains. It can make you as white as snow."

She said, "Oh, it seems like it could be just a myth, Mr. Branham." She said, "I want to be that."

And I said, "Will you pray with me?"

And she said, "Yes, sir."

--------------------------------

Go back and read the whole story and you will see that she had played the part of a prostitute.

The prophet said “He can take you back to the time when you was a virgin, innocent girl”.

So was it me talking or God? Don’t let someone tell you that was only spiritual. SIN ITSELF IS ONLY SPIRITUAL. The flesh just reflected it. The prophet said the Satan's soul sinned and he never had a flesh body of his own. So let’s see someone lay sin on the flesh when it was nothing but a reflection of the wrong spirit. Read this link before you continue. http://www.revealedword.com/promises18.htm

But I encourage you to read the whole story. He even told her she would make a fine minister's wife! When are we going to take God at His word and quit building our own ideas and understandings instead?!?!

He said...

I said, "But I want to tell you something. Your sins may be as black and smutty as hell, but I know there is a fountain filled with Blood, drawn from Emmanuel's veins, where sinners plunged beneath the flood, lose all their guilty stains. It can make you as white as snow."

He said the sinner “LOSES ALL THEIR GUILTY STAINS”

He never said “oh wait but you still did it, the flesh is still guilty” See what a lie that makes of God’s Word? It's Satan trying to keep something hanging on you so you can’t possibly believe you are a spotless creature before God! Satan’s scared to death of a spotless creature. WHY? Because a spotless creature doesn’t fear Satan and doesn’t doubt God’s Word and stands firmly on it. Satan can’t move a sinless creature and he knows it!

Let’s look at that very first quote a little closer even:

 ------------------------------

He draws a clear distinction here between what God has joined together and what man has joined together. What man has put together  “anybody can put apart.” How come I very seldom ever hear a message preacher mention something so absolutely clear? It didn’t change the word that had come before nor did it change the word that was coming forth in our day in the same message. “The man can get married again but the woman can’t”  That was still the Word! But the magnifying glass of God’s had been applied! Hallelujah!

YOU'RE NOT MARRIED UNTIL GOD GIVES YOU A DIRECT REVELATION WHO YOUR MATE IS!!!!

Now that’s a Marriage, Remarriage and Divorce revelation. That should destroy all doubt. But it's may be a hard statement to understand. Consider this:

THE.KINSMAN.REDEEMER_ JEFF.IN V-6 N-8 SUNDAY_ 60-1002
45
Yesterday morning we were lying in bed a little late, and the children didn't have to go to school, and we got to speaking about different things, and how, "What was hatred?"
I said, "Hatred had a beginning so it has to have an end. Love had no beginning, so it has no end. Hatred is forever. Love is eternal. Hatred begins and hatred will end. Love never did begin and it never will end (See?); it's eternal.
And when a man loves a woman and marries her because she's just pretty, there'll be an end to that. But when a man finds a woman that he loves, he don't know why, but he loves her... And she finds the man that she loves, no matter what he looks like... He loves her. She loves him. That's an eternal mate in glory. They'll... Death nor nothing else can ever separate them. Because they are from eternity, and they stepped out into space of time, and will return back to eternity. Eternity has dropped down in a body called time, then it goes right back up into eternity again. It cannot perish.

But you know what? People don’t like it. No, they want a church age list of rules so they can follow that and not have faith in God to supply them their answers. This is too hard. This requires that you work out your journey like you’ve worked out your salvation. Through faith and patience and perseverance. It requires that you wait until God brings a mate to you. None of this shopping for a mate and wondering if this one or the next one is your mate. Through a close walk with God! A perfect walk with God He will unfold your road to you!  He'll unfold your life to you no matter what has happen to the flesh in the past.

When God joins someone together then they are truly joined together. They are no longer twain but one. But there are other joinings in marriage all day long in the world. Hundreds if not thousands are married everyday by preachers all over the world. How many did God join together? Only God and those people know. Yet amongst the message preachers today there has been seventh church age doctrine carried over. Many preachers in the message hold those marriages of men and of this worldly system in the same high regard as God joining people together. That shows a total lack of understanding. A total disregard for what the prophet said here.

They'll tell a sister that comes to know Christ through the true Word of this hour, that if she was married and divorced out in the world that she cannot get married again to a Christian man. They hold the marriages of man in the same regard as those joined by God. They hold onto the doctrine of the church ages.
